Chapter 115: Light vs Jonathan 2
The battle continued on, both men used every bit of their strength and powers, causing the crowd to feel all types of emotions as they attacked one another.
Light swung his sword, imbued with dark and ligbt energy over and over again, creating after-images of slashes in the air as Jonathan blocked one after the other.
The sound of metal hitting metal rang through the entire Pit as the older parried the attacks of the younger brother. Light’s dark attacks were especially ineffective against Jonathan’s technology, he easily dodged and tore through the tendrils like they were paper, Light especially was running out of time and energy to turn the tides of this battle.
Jonathan had a big advantage due to not getting injured in the earlier stages, and now he was using that advantage to the fullest.
Light began to struggle, he wasn’t as sharp on the defensive as before, he took longer to dodge, longer to block.
17:54...
The time was counting down slowly, he had to turn this fight around somehow, otherwise he would lose.
He jumped backwards a few paces and stood in one place, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead, Jonathan took the hint immediately and begun laughing, he knew that Light would only do something like this if he was running out of stamina.
"What’s the problem little bro, are you getting tired?" Jonathan inquired, scratching his head lightly and smiling at Light mischievously.
Light frowned, Jonathan could see right through his act, but he would smile for not much longer as Light already had something cooking up his sleeve.
"Come on Light, we don’t have all day! Let’s give the people what they want!" Jonathan taunted, he was fond of taunting, in that moment, Light saw the old Jonathan, the one he knew as a child.
He suddenly remembered why he hated him so much when they were younger, always looking for a way to get one up on him.

The memories began flooding back into Light’s memories, causing him to get angry and frustrated even more. He gritted his teeth and buried his free hand into the ground, gripping his sword handle so tight he thought he might break it.
’I’m sorry Jacob but this time I just can’t hold it back.’ Light mused as he got up. "You’re right brother, let’s do this."
Light yelled loudly, a loud guttural scream that erupted from his guts, and for the second time theoughout the tournament, his Qi erupted.
Bursting out of his body in short streaks of white and black.
In that moment, Light could feel it. The yin yang Radiant shadow cultivation wasn’t just about light and darkness, it also had ties to positive and negative energy.
Something that Light now knew that he could manipulate at will, his eyes glowed separate colors, one was a whitish gray color and the other was jet black.
He looked at Jonathan as the aura enveloped his body, casusung all his bandages to fall off, and his hair to float carelessly.
This was one of his forms... ’Integer.’
In this state he could freely manipulate, change and redirect positive, and negative energy.
Jonathan looked at him again, for the umpteenth time, he could not understand how someone who seemed down and out for the past four minutes could suddenly manifest a new found power.
All he knew was that he wasn’t letting Light past this round, he wanted to be the one to defeat Yannick.
Throughout his life, Jonathan had never defeated Yannick in a one on one battle, or spar. On one occasion, he came very close, but even then Yannick somehow managed to get the better of him.
What better way and time to get his first win than in the Pit and with their father watching, nothing would bring him greater satisfaction, everybody had a dream, Jonathan had achieved every other thing he wanted in life, this was the missing piece.
All he needed to do was to get past his little brother so he can face his life archnemesis.
Jonathan clapped, his metal hands clinking over and over again as he laughed. "Well done! Well done! Little brother, now you’re making this interesting."
From the cheers that cascaded throughout the crowd, there was evidence that they all shared the same sentiment as Jonathan.

Not surprisingly, many people had wagered that Light would emerge victorious, after witnessing his battles with the other people, they just knew that he would somehow come out of it as the winner.
Some people still placed their bets on Jonathan, as he was the older, more experienced of the two. There was no way he would lose to someone who just got his powers.
There was a heavy conflict in the crowd for this reason, one that Jacob and the two men on tbe battle ground were especially apathetic to. Paying attention to such things would cause distraction, and distraction would mean failure.
Light looked back at Jonathan with a listless look on his face. It was as though he was a different person in that moment, but Jonathan didn’t care very much, infact he enjoyed the thrill of seeing what this new version of Light could offer.
Jonathan lunged again, this time his arms glowing more than ever before, he growled as he practically pounced on his opponent.
Everything appeared in slow motion from Light’s perspective, his perception had increased a hundred fold and now even Jonathan’s fastest movements were slower than the ticking of time.
’Since his metal gloves somehow convert his Qi to ligbt energy, then I can disrupt them somehow.’ Light pondered, then flicked his finger in the air.
Jonathan’s metal gloves immediately dismembered itself, and fell in pieces, dozens of pieces scattered across the floor.
Jonathan’s eyes widened and the crowd let out a loud gasp at what had just happened, but Light kept a straight face, it was simple physics, even though he wasn’t much academically inclined, he knew that he had the authority to manipulate many forms of light, this would not be an exception.
"No matter." Jonathan announced. "If you think I ever needed those machines then you’re just as much of a fool as many." He jeered.
Light still paid him no mind as he spoke of many things, the only thing that was in Light’s mind was clearing the hurdle that was right before him.
Jonathan lunged again, attempting to bridge the gap between them as quickly as possible.
He didn’t want to waste any time at all as he threw bow after blow, but Light was more reserved now, composed, and lightning fast.
He blocked every single one of Jonathan’s attacks as though it were child play. One punch tore towards Light’s face, he simply parried it with his forearm, swatting Jonathan’s fist away like a fly.
Jonathan grew even more frustrated by the nonchalant way that Lught was evading his attacks, his attacks became increasingly erratic, with punch after punch being thrown with no direction or purpose whatsoever. The more he attacked like that, the more he missed.
Light simply just looked at him as he acted out. "You’re getting slower Jonathan." Light said as he blocked another erratic punch.

Jonathan even used his feet, he kicked outwards towards Light, who simply sidestepped and pushed his foot upwards, but Jonathan didn’t fall, he backflipped and charged in with another, an upward spinning kick. Light simply just crouched low to avoid it.
Jonathan was pissed by this point. He was seething deeply at the fact that he was unable to land even one hit.
Just as he tore forward again for the umpteenth time, about to send another attack flying towards Light.
A dark tendril caught hold of his legs from beneath the ground, then another, and another. The man grunted as the tendrils held on to his ankles firmly and lifted him up into the air.
Then, in a perfect rhythm, he was repeatedly whacked against the floor, over and over again, from side to side.
The crowd gasped as each swing sent the man helplessly slamming hard against the concrete, creating tiny craters after each crash.
"GAHH!" He screamed as the tendrils kept smashing him against the floor like a lifeless doll, his head and body crashing first against the ground.
His wife and children could only watch as their husband and father was mercilessly flogged into the concrete over and over again, blood splattered on the ground on each side, but the whacking didn’t stop.
Light kept a straight face as his tendrils continued to send the man into the ground over and over again, even after he had completely passed out.
"Please stop!!" Amylis yelled out from the VIP area where her and her children sat, her daughters already crying as a result of the horrifying display.
The scream sent a jolt through Light’s body, forcing him to snap back into reality.
He immediately called his powers to order as the tendrils seeped back into the ground slowly, leaving Jonathan lying helplessly on the floor, covered in cuts and bruises, even some heavy wounds that required immediate attention.
