Chapter 109: Light vs Peter 1
The tournament proceeded in regular fashion, and the draws were completed. The crowd watched from a distance as a new round of fighters was selected.
Among them were the eight sons of the Wutherhorn Primarch, it was only to be expected that they were to fight each other.
The crowd oohed and ahhed as every battle entertained them and left them mesmerized in their seats.
The second round had begun and it progressed much faster than the first.
Yannick was paired with his younger brother Christopher and defeated him in mere minutes, Jonathan also managed to scrape through a battle against Randolph, hard fought as their powers were polar opposites.
The next battle was as predicted. The only one that didn’t get to fight any of his siblings once again.
Light Wutherhorn vs Peter Wolfe.
Both men were called into the arena very quickly, as the announcer had begun to conserve time. Peter was first, he walked in with a knowing smile on his face, and an aura that exuded confidence, he had changed into a very similar style of clothing and but it was green now.
Jacob caught himself wondering how many colors of the exact same clothing this man had in is wardrobe.
Ligbt was called on to the arena not long after, it appeared that he had gained some fans after his first battle. There was a cluster of women yelling out his name like fan girls off to the side. Anissa gave them a deadly stare and they immediately halted their chants.
Light and Peter stood face to face now, the men staring themselves directly in the eyes.
"You know... I like you." Light started, drawing his sword out, the blade glistened, light reflecting off it’s almost transparent silvery look. "You don’t talk much."

Peter laughed heartily, he wasn’t too surprised to learn that Light could make jokes in such a moment, he even respected it, as his last opponent had been something of a spoilsport. "Good to see you too Light! It’s been ages, let’s try to end this as quickly as possible shall we."
Light nodded his head in acknowledgement and got in his sword stance, pointing the tip of the blade at Peter.
Peter wasted no time, his Qi erupted around him in bursts as thick fur began spreading across his fire arms and lower body.
His body grew larger, muscles swelling beneath his skin as his glowing yellow eyes fixed themselves on Light.
The wolf man shot forward like a bullet, the ground trembling beneath each step, he moves swiftly, not faster than Zeldris, but swifter.
Ligbt remained exactly where he was, unmoving until Peter was only a few meters away.
Then came the first attack, Peter carved a slash with his sharp iron-like claws aimed at Light.
Light vanished from the spot, watching as Peter carved through empty air,
A black tendril erupted from Lights shadow, quickly wrapping it self around Peter’s ankle. Without even looking down, Peter flexed his leg, the tendril snapped into tiny pieces of darkness.
Another tendril shot upwards again towards him, then another, and another.
Soon, Peter was dealing with a flurry of dark tendril aiming towards him, he tore through each of them, refusing to lose his momentum.
He was strong, maybe even stronger than Light’s last opponent.

"Ah! These petty tricks again?" Peter asked, grinning as he lunged forward towards the red haired young man.
"They’ve worked pretty well so far." Light vanished, rematerializing behind Peter and gliding his sword towards the wolf man’s ribs.
CLANG!
Peter caught the blade between his claws, the audience gasped in awe of how quickly Peter had blocked that attack, one that most of them couldn’t even see.
The two men stood frozen for only an instant before Peter twisted violently, throwing Light a couple of meters away.
Light landed lightly on his feet, gripping his blade even tighter as it hummed faintly in his grasp.
Peter was getting faster.
The wolf man was no longer relying on just sight alone, he relied on his senses, he had gotten a scent of Light so he could follow him no matter where he vanished to, which was why the last battle was so tough, because Cedric had maintained his distance for most of the battle.
Light smiled and disappeared again, this time there were white after images all over the battle field as he moved. Each one was followed by the clanging of steel.
Light swung low, Peter blocked with his forearm. He blocked another with his claws.
A third slice grazed his shoulder, drawing blood from him instantly. The wolf man grinned as he had just ascertained where the young man was going to strike from next.
"There you are!" Peter said under his breath as he swung his hard claws to his right.
Ligbt barely ducked under the massive claws, his top ripping apart from the wind pressure alone.

In that moment, Light realized that speed alone wasn’t enough to defeat someone who could always see you coming.
Darkness began spreading from his feet, spreading across the arena floor like ink, swallowing every single shadow into one massive pull. The crowd gasped at what was happening.
Jacob only wondered how much more exertion Light could take, the more Qi he used for this techniques, the longer it would take him to cultivate.
He watched on as the arena fell a little darker.
"You can’t hide forever." Peter said as he spun around, sniffing the air slowly.
"Oh I know!" Light’s voice seemed to echo from everywhere, "I actually don’t plan to."
Without warning, three identical clones of the young man emerged from different shadows.
Peter attacked without hesitation, slashing one with his claws. He watched as it dissipated into thin air. The second one attacked, Peter destroyed it in an instant.
The third was the real one, a sharp cut tore a gash in Peter’s back, causing blood to spill all ove tc the arena floor.
Peter roared like a wounded lion, his Qi exploded outward, the force scattered the darkness for a split second.
In that split moment, he saw the real Light, he launched himself without warning, and with terrifying speed, his fist slammed into Light’s chest. The impact hurled the young man all the way to the wall of the arena, stone fragments raised across the battlefield.
But it was far from over.
