Chapter 87: 87- Logan’s girlfriend
After signing the contract, the man got to his feet to shake their hands, "It was a pleasure doing business with you," he then glanced towards his assistant standing near him, "Please arrange some refreshments."
Then he looked at them politely, "I would appreciate it if you both could stay for a few minutes. It’s rare to meet people I actually enjoy doing business with."
"I think we can spare a few minutes," Hunter looked at Sienna, who nodded her head politely. A few minutes later, coffee, sandwiches, and small desserts were placed on the sitting area near the large glass windows overlooking the city.
Every now and then, the man’s eyes drifted towards Sienna thoughtfully, and Hunter was not comfortable with it. He automatically moved Sienna’s coffee cup away from the edge when she got distracted talking.
"Are you two married?" He suddenly asked in the mid conversation, catching them off guard. Hunter casually placed his arm around the back of Sienna’s chair before pulling her slightly closer towards him, "Yes," he answered.
Sienna forced a smile as she saw him acting a little possessively. How would it feel if all this were for real?
The man studied them quietly for a moment before his own smile faded, "You know..." He looked down at his coffee, "I used to look at my wife the same way," He said with a faint laugh, "She passed away two years ago."
The smile on Sienna’s face vanished, "I’m so sorry, Mr. Karm."
He nodded slowly, "I was so busy building companies and chasing contracts..." His gaze traveled towards the city outside the glass windows, "I thought there would always be time."
He then looked back at Hunter, "If you really love her... don’t make the mistake of assuming she’ll always stay beside you. Be fair to her. Be truthful. Or she might leave you."
Hunter scrunched his nose because he thought the man was crazy. He started with his wife gone forever, and then he told Hunter that he should be truthful to Sienna, or she might leave.
None of it made sense.
When they were coming out of the office, he held her hand and raised it to his lips, "Let’s go somewhere for coffee," He suggested, "This one was too sweet for my liking."
Sienna chuckled at that. She liked the coffee at Mr. Karm’s office, but she didn’t mind another cup with her husband.
Because going back to the office meant he would be occupied again by her female employees.

In the café, Sienna went to use the restroom, leaving Hunter alone for a bit. The coffee was just an excuse; otherwise, he wanted to spend some more time with her.
In the office, she was usually occupied by multiple meetings and finance reports.
He frowned after realizing that her tab’s screen was open. Curiosity got the best of him when he picked up her tablet to switch it off, but instead found the same Pinterest pictures on display.
Thinking hard, if he should scroll it sideways, he decided to go ahead and do it.
"I hope my wife won’t cut my leg for snooping through her tab."
Muttering to himself, he scrolled the screen and found ’perfect date ideas’. All the fancy pictures she had saved had a blossom tree with a spread under it, along with a picnic basket.
Hunter placed the tab upside down on the table, but the blossom tree stayed there in his memory.
He was recently planning to take her to a high-end restaurant for a dinner date. However, those plans needed to change now.
While still thinking about his wife, his gaze shifted towards the cash counter near the entrance. His brows lifted slightly as he saw his secretary standing there.
There was a girl beside him.
Logan with a girl! Interesting!
He thought with a smirk.
At that very moment, their eyes met. Logan straightened and gave him a respectful nod. Hunter lazily nodded back.
But then he saw Sienna walking out of the hallway, after using the restroom. And instead of returning to the table, she walked directly towards Logan.
Towards the girl who was with Logan. They seemed to know each other because Sienna broke into a bright smile and hugged the girl warmly.
She said something to the girl, who laughed and hugged her back tightly. Hunter slowly looked away.
For the past few days, he had been planning to tell Sienna about him so that he could give their relationship a chance.
She deserved to know if he wanted this relationship to go ahead. She would expect honesty from him.
But his secret shouldn’t come out like that. He wasn’t aware how she would react to it.
Hunter quietly pulled out his phone beneath the table and typed a message to Logan.
Disappear. Right now.
His secretary nearly choked when he read it.
His eyes snapped to Hunter, who was now sipping his coffee, refusing to look in his direction.

Coward!
That was what Logan thought when Hunter avoided eye contact. He cleared his throat awkwardly, "Uh... Sweetheart? Maybe we should get going."
Sienna immediately turned towards him suspiciously, "Why are you sweating?"
With a frown, Logan wiped his forehead with a napkin, "I don’t think so."
"Is he your boyfriend, Maya?" Sienna asked her old school fellow, who used to be a very good friend before she got transferred.
"Yes," Maya nodded excitedly, "Do you know where he works?" she asked her loudly, and Logan suddenly started coughing.
"I’m... I’m really not well."
Maya passed him a confused look, "Baby. What’s the matter?"
Sienna also gave him a worried glance, "Looks like his blood pressure is shooting up!" Maya started shaking her head, "He doesn’t have any blood pressure issues. I don’t know what’s happening."
Sienna patted her shoulder, "Wait. Let me call my husband. He can drive you people to a nearby clinic."
Logan’s coughing got intense as he held his throat, "This place is suffocating me."
He raced outside with Maya tugging along without saying a proper goodbye to her long-lost friend.
