Chapter 875: Chapter 875: A-Xing, I Miss You So Much
Upon hearing Selena Kensington’s words, Esther Jennings remained silent for a moment.
Then she nodded slightly, "Okay."
As she heard Esther Jennings agreeing, Selena Kensington let out a sigh of relief.
She continued to move forward.
*
Meanwhile, in the valley.
The arrival of three ’supernatural visitors’ threw the originally hidden crowd in the valley into chaos.
Since they were only here to investigate, those people did not send the defective pseudo-entities, but instead hired some mercenaries willing to sell their lives for money and individuals from the organization.
Cole Vaughn and his companions arrived forcibly, catching those stationed in the camp by surprise.
Cole Vaughn watched as those people curled up together in fear, looking down on them.
Vincent Sinclair and Grandma Jennings stood behind Cole Vaughn, their eyes coldly fixed on the group.
"You... you all..."
The leader looked at Cole Vaughn and Vincent Sinclair and Grandma Jennings behind him with horror in his eyes.
How did they find this place?!
But...
Since these people appeared here, it meant that what they had been investigating in the past few days was almost certainly correct...
With this thought, a strange idea flashed in the leader’s eyes.
He slightly tilted his head to give a subtle signal to the man beside him.
The person received the hint from the leader and nodded slightly to him.
Then, he gently moved his hand behind his back.
Vincent Sinclair seemed to notice something, his eyebrows furrowing, "Kill him!"
Cole Vaughn, hearing Vincent Sinclair’s words, instantly looked at the person making small moves.
Just as he was about to act, a light poke sound suddenly echoed in the air.
Immediately afterwards, a golden thread sliced through the air, straight past Cole Vaughn, piercing into the person’s heart!
"Ah!..."
The person let out a painful wail, twitched a few times, and then suddenly fell to the ground!
This sudden scene frightened the people nearby and made the leader’s face turn pale.
He dared not make any more rash moves.
Cole Vaughn, Vincent Sinclair, and Grandma Jennings instinctively turned back.
Behind them, Selena Kensington, no... or rather, Esther Jennings possessing Selena Kensington’s body, stood there.
At this moment, Selena Kensington showed no significant change.
Golden light surrounded her, and her eyes were covered with a layer of gold.
She appeared supremely sacred.
Yet there was no emotional fluctuation in those eyes.
Like a soul-less entity, calm and indifferent.
When Grandma Jennings saw this scene, the shock in her eyes was unabashed.
She exclaimed, "Estelle... Aunt?!"
Vincent Sinclair was already standing there, stunned.
Esther Jennings didn’t respond to them; she slightly lifted one hand.
Several golden threads suddenly condensed on her hand.
It was... the golden threads that had just killed that person.
Esther Jennings tilted her head slightly, her mouth emitting indifferent words.
"Vile insects..."
As if pronouncing a judgment, the next second after she finished speaking, she turned her hand.
Those golden threads seemed to be given life, moving towards the people behind Cole Vaughn.
’Whoosh’ ’Whoosh’ ’Whoosh’...
The golden threads all pierced into those people’s hearts without exception.
Just like the previous person, they couldn’t struggle at all. After twitching a few times, they suddenly fell to the ground.
And all this happened in just a few seconds...
After finishing all this, Esther Jennings slowly closed her eyes.
Vincent Sinclair urgently spoke out, "Wait!"
Unfortunately, Esther Jennings had already closed her eyes.
At the moment Esther Jennings closed her eyes, she returned the body to Selena Kensington.
Yet she did not leave after all.
Esther Jennings turned into a spectral silhouette standing behind Selena Kensington.
When Selena Kensington awoke, she anxiously sought Esther Jennings’ figure.
Upon seeing Esther Jennings standing behind her, she let out a sigh of relief.
However, seeing Esther Jennings’ figure growing transparent, Selena Kensington furrowed her brows slightly, raised her hand, and attempted to transmit some Heavenly Master Power to Esther Jennings.
Esther Jennings slightly raised her hand, stopping her action.
"I can still hold on, don’t waste it."
Upon hearing Esther Jennings’ words, Selena Kensington complied.
She turned around, "Grandma..."
At the sound of Selena Kensington’s voice, Grandma Jennings finally snapped out of her shock.
"Selie, your Heavenly Master Power can now support Aunt to such an extent?!..."
Grandma Jennings couldn’t help but ask.
Selena Kensington shook her head slightly, "It was Aunt entering the mansion and retrieving her own Origin Power. My ability only allowed her to appear in this form."
Upon hearing Selena Kensington’s words, Grandma Jennings remained incredulous.
Selena Kensington glanced at Vincent Sinclair still stunned in place and Cole Vaughn gradually withdrawing his killing intent, then turned to Grandma Jennings, "Grandma, we should head back; this isn’t the place to talk."
Grandma Jennings nodded slightly, looking at Vincent Sinclair still staring blankly at Esther Jennings’ spectral figure, she sighed.
*
They returned to the Rivers Family mansion.
Due to Esther Jennings’ earlier intervention, the Rivers Family temporarily avoided the danger of discovery.
However, with time, the organization would certainly sense something was wrong and send people again.
By then, the Rivers Family would be directly exposed to the organization’s sight.
Thus, the situation could only be prolonged until they completely dealt with the organization.
"I will send people to clean up that place, creating some deceptive phenomena for those individuals, but it’s not a long-term solution..."
Vincent Sinclair said.
Yet his gaze never left Esther Jennings, who was quietly staying by Selena Kensington’s side.
There was deep love and attachment in his eyes.
Selena Kensington, seeing Vincent Sinclair’s look, knew what was happening.
Vincent Sinclair truly loved Esther Jennings; the mask he wore seemed to crumble instantly at her appearance, revealing his truest self before her.
She sighed softly.
When Grandma Jennings and Vincent Sinclair finished their conversation, Selena Kensington turned to look at Esther Jennings who was still silently staying.
"Aunt, that man..." Selena Kensington glanced at Vincent Sinclair, relieved.
"He is your husband."
"I think he probably has things he wishes to say, so we won’t disturb you."
After speaking, Selena Kensington exchanged a glance with Grandma Jennings.
Grandma Jennings nodded slightly, and they both stood up.
As Selena Kensington passed by Cole Vaughn, she glanced at him, "Aren’t you leaving?"
Cole Vaughn hesitated briefly, looked at Selena Kensington, and eventually followed her out.
As Cole Vaughn followed them out, Selena Kensington instinctively looked back at the living room behind.
She heard Vincent Sinclair saying to Esther Jennings, "Estelle, I’ve missed you so much..."
His voice was filled with timeless longing and love.
