Chapter 1136: Chapter 1136: Really Didn’t Do It

Emerie felt completely aggrieved.

"Dad, what are you doing? I’m the one who’s been having the worst luck recently. And you still tell me off! You’re too much!" Emerie threw this sentence after crying and ran back to her room.

She really needed to have a good cry for herself.

She originally thought her loving husband turned out to be a complete fraud, she even had to beg that little bitch Sophie Wilson, and now even her father was saying such things to her.

What exactly are they trying to do?

Are they trying to drive her to despair?

"What are you saying to Emerie like that for?" Old Mrs. Wilson stood up with concern, wanting to go check on Emerie.

"Go ahead, keep spoiling her. Without the Wilson Corporation, do you think there will be the resources to unconditionally pamper her?" Old Mr. Wilson asked Old Mrs. Wilson with a cold smile.

"I..." Old Mrs. Wilson lost her temper immediately and replied slowly, "But you should speak to her more gently, she can’t accept it all at once."

"You take your time with her then, see who’s giving Wilson Corporation time for the Wilson Clan!" After Old Mr. Wilson finished speaking, he angrily turned and went back to his room.

Old Mrs. Wilson stood where she was, feeling trapped in a predicament, but she eventually went to Emerie’s room, intending to comfort her. Truly, the Wilson Clan is no longer the same as before, Emerie can’t keep being this willful.

Sophie sat across from Benjamin Walton and said with a smile, "President Walton, how come you have time to meet me?"

"Miss Wilson, technically speaking, I should be your uncle." Benjamin Walton didn’t hold back, establishing a connection with Sophie Wilson.

"Not anymore." Sophie Wilson relaxed back against her chair and said with a smile, "You’ve divorced Emerie Wilson, so technically you’re not related anymore."

"What’s more, I’ve never acknowledged Emerie Wilson as my aunt." Sophie’s words brought laughter from Benjamin Walton, "Sophie Wilson, I really like and appreciate your personality."

"However, I think as a woman, you should be gentler and more virtuous. Don’t rely on a man’s affection and act recklessly. You need to know a man’s patience for a woman is limited."

Benjamin Walton gave Sophie a rather sincere suggestion: "Don’t end up with nothing; that’s truly not worth it."

Sophie laughed out loud, "Mr. Walton, you’re really overthinking. Even without my Mr. Seymour, I still have my jewelry and gem business and a decoration company. I won’t starve."

"I’m not Emerie Wilson, living my whole life depending on others! Being manipulated!" Sophie’s radiant smile seemed exceptionally dazzling to Benjamin Walton.

This Sophie Wilson really is refusing to accept kindness.

"Sophie Wilson, you just keep pouring money into this, don’t you fear losing everything?" Benjamin Walton questioned.

"Pouring money?" Sophie looked at him in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"Don’t think I don’t know. The business at Wilson Corporation is suffering, isn’t it because of your behind-the-scenes actions?" Benjamin Walton glared coldly at Sophie Wilson, "I thought you were someone responsible and honest; turns out you’re just here pretending, acting shady?"

"Oh, you’re talking about that?" Sophie laughed and said, "I did take action, but I’ve certainly not been pouring money into it."

"Sophie Wilson, you’re still acting at this moment; do you think it’s fun?" Benjamin Walton was already convinced.
