Chapter 1135: Chapter 1135: Remarriage

Mason Wilson turned his head to seek some solace from his wife, only to find her smiling at the young couple with a look full of gratification.

It seemed the only one "hurt" was himself?

Mason Wilson felt inexplicably upset.

Since Sophie Wilson was fine, Mason didn’t disturb her rest and led his wife home.

"Sophie..." Mason paused and laughed, "She’s truly been spoiled by Charles."

The current situation Sophie was handling clearly didn’t involve Charles, which meant these tactics were entirely her own.

It appeared their daughter was even more formidable than he had imagined.

Was this Sophie’s past they hadn’t been involved in?

What exactly had Sophie gone through to develop such strength?

Mason had a belly full of questions, but he changed his mind in the final moment before speaking to Clarissa.

No matter what, they couldn’t partake in Sophie’s past life, but they would do their best to protect her future.

What Sophie didn’t want to say, he would just pretend nothing had happened.

After all, he knew that the process that enabled Sophie, with no background, to gain such abilities must have been unpleasant.

Why bring up Sophie’s old sorrows?

"That’s as it should be," Clarissa affirmed, "If Charles wasn’t good to Sophie, how could I let her be with him with peace of mind?"

"Emerie Wilson really is utterly foolish!" Clarissa scolded without any good humor.

Mason could think of it, and so could she.

After so many years together, she could pretty much guess his thoughts as soon as he opened his mouth.

Thankfully, in this matter, they made the same choice in harmony; the past was past, and in the future, they would live well together with Sophie, letting her feel the warmth of family.

"Just ignore her." Mason frowned but then let go, "Sophie probably saw it coming that Emerie Wilson would do something like this."

Speaking of this, Mason felt proud: "Our daughter is indeed smart."

Clarissa smiled quietly, without a word.

Upon returning, Mason called Old Mr. Wilson, his tone devoid of the gentle relief from earlier, and instead, filled with chilling coldness: "Dad, I just let Sophie know. She had everything set up, and now it’s disrupted, and she has to start all over again."

"Honestly, if Emerie still wants to remarry Benjamin Walton, let her go, but don’t keep helping him in secret," Mason said, not giving Old Mr. Wilson a chance to speak before swiftly hanging up the phone.

Old Mrs. Wilson nervously watched Old Mr. Wilson slowly put down the phone and asked, "What did Mason say?"

Old Mr. Wilson replied with irritation, "What else would he say? Just to tell Emerie, if she wants to remarry, she should hurry up!"

"Who wants to remarry Benjamin Walton?" Emerie Wilson wasn’t the type to tolerate such things, "He even has an illegitimate child, why would I remarry him?"

Especially since the illegitimate child was already so big, clearly conceived shortly after their marriage.

She had been deceived by Benjamin Walton for so many years, how could she possibly consider remarrying him?

"If you don’t want to remarry him, then stop causing trouble!" Old Mr. Wilson rebuked angrily, "Whether the company can be taken back from Benjamin Walton now depends on Sophie and the others. Why are you tipping him off?"
