Chapter 1137: Chapter 1137: There’s Plenty More

Everything was done by Sophie Wilson.

"Those companies that used to have business dealings with Wilson Corporation, sure, you can throw money at them and make them raise their standards. But Sophie Wilson, don’t underestimate me."

"I’ve already contacted several other companies and started new partnerships. As for those old partners, I can throw them all away." Benjamin Walton said with immense confidence.

"You want to use those tricks to make things hard for me? You’re really dreaming."

After listening, Sophie didn’t rush, she just smiled and asked, "Mr. Walton, you seem pretty sure of yourself."

"Of course!" Benjamin sneered smugly. "I just want to tell you, being young and driven is good, but if you’re too impulsive, you’re just digging your own grave."

"Oh?" Sophie smiled with a hint of puzzlement. "Mr. Walton thinks I’m going to fail?"

Benjamin snorted, picked up his phone, dialed a number, and hung up before it connected.

Right after that, the door to the private room opened and a few people walked in.

In suits and leather shoes, they looked every bit the successful elite. Once they came in, they all smiled and greeted Benjamin, and without a word it was obvious their relationship was very good.

"See that? These are all my new partners." Benjamin pointed them out to Sophie proudly. "You want to burn money so others won’t use our company’s products—can you buy off every single company in the entire Imperial City?"

"Looks like these gentlemen really don’t mind Mr. Walton’s reputation. You’re having quite a pleasant cooperation." Sophie’s teasing made Benjamin’s face change. He snapped, "Sophie Wilson, you don’t need to worry about these things."

"Oh? I don’t?" Sophie asked, amused. "Doing business, you don’t look at a boss’s character? A boss who climbed up by deceiving women and using every dirty trick in the book—these people are really at ease working with you?"

"Sophie Wilson, I just want to tell you, all those moves you’re pulling behind my back, all that money you’re burning, are completely meaningless!" Benjamin didn’t want to keep dragging this out with Sophie. He stood up and said, "If you want to burn money, keep burning. I really want to see if you can buy off every company in the whole country!"

With that, Benjamin led his big crowd of partners out in a rush.

Sophie propped her chin up with one hand, took a slow sip of juice, and commented with a soft laugh, "Clueless."

Just then, her phone rang. Sophie glanced at the screen and answered with a smile, "Bro, what’s up? Mm, okay, I’ll head back now."

By the time Sophie hurried home, Kai Bright had already showered and was toweling his hair dry.

He was clearly just back from outside, his face full of exhaustion, but his spirits were still pretty good.

"Sophie..." ‌Kai‌ had just opened his mouth when he saw Sophie wave a hand. "Eat something first, then talk."

"Okay." ‌Kai‌ paused for a second, feeling a surge of comfort at how thoughtful his little sister was.

Right then, the housekeeper brought up the food she’d prepared.

A big bowl of noodle soup, and ‌Kai‌ was eating fast, like he hadn’t had a proper meal in a while.

In less than five minutes, not to mention the noodles, even the soup was completely gone.

Sophie called the housekeeper to come up and clear the dishes, then finally asked ‌Kai‌, "So, what’s going on?"

"Are there still any remnants from that illegal company?" ‌Kai‌ knew all about this matter; asking anyone else couldn’t compare to asking Sophie directly.
