Chapter 1307: Chapter 1307: Blind Date Alliance 5
Evelyn Taylor had just posted an embarrassing photo of Thomas Fisher on her social media less than half an hour ago when she received a call from Ryan Taylor. Seeing it was her brother calling, she immediately thought her big brother had seen the embarrassing photo she posted.
"My brother is calling, you answer it." She didn’t answer the phone herself, but handed her phone to the person sitting opposite her.
"He must be impressed by my handsome appearance." Thomas Fisher didn’t refuse, and took the phone Evelyn handed to him. He picked up the call immediately.
As soon as he put the phone to his ear, Ryan Taylor’s voice came through from the other side, "Evelyn! What the heck are you doing? Why did you make Thomas look like a ghost in that photo?"
Seeing Thomas Fisher’s embarrassing photo, Ryan Taylor’s first reaction was that it was edited by Evelyn. It was fine if she did the editing herself, but posting it on social media was a bit too much. It would be worse if others saw and shared it.
"Hey, it’s me! Were you impressed by my handsome look?" Now that the stress of the matchmaking was solved, Thomas Fisher instantly felt relaxed and joked with the person on the other end of the call.
Hearing his little brother’s voice instead, Ryan Taylor was a bit surprised, "Are you with Evelyn now?"
He was asking the other person, but he already knew the answer without needing a response.
"Yeah! We’re having a candlelight dinner right now." Thomas Fisher maintained his laid-back attitude, not showing any of the romance of a candlelight dinner.
The matchmaking between Evelyn and Thomas was quietly planned by Autumn York and Harriet White. Worried about sabotage, they didn’t inform anyone beforehand, and the two involved only learned about it the moment they met today.
Ryan Taylor wasn’t aware that the two were currently on a date. Hearing Thomas say this, he thought he was just joking, as his little brother often joked with them, "Go ahead and eat, enjoy, I guess no one can control you now."
He blurted out the last sentence, but as soon as he spoke, he realized this wasn’t a wise thing to say.
"...Ugh!"
Thomas Fisher remained silent for a while, then sighed deeply.
Hearing his good buddy sigh, Ryan Taylor felt he had touched a nerve, quickly changing the subject, "How did you end up with Evelyn? Why would she turn you into a ghost in the photo?"
To bring the mood back to a light-hearted atmosphere, he exaggerated his tone.
"We’re on a date, I..."
"What?! You two are on a date? That’s not a funny joke at all."
Before Thomas Fisher could finish, Ryan Taylor interrupted, feeling surprised and thinking he was joking.
Thomas Fisher, however, remained calm, "Bro! I’m not joking with you, Evelyn and I are really on a date now. If you don’t believe me, you can call Aunt and she’ll explain everything."
He wasn’t entirely sure how the parents arranged everything, but he knew it was the result of their planning, especially their moms. He was sure their mothers played the most active and enthusiastic role.
"You two are really on a date." Initially, Ryan Taylor genuinely thought Thomas Fisher was joking, but now he didn’t think so anymore.
