Chapter 1292: Chapter 1291: Stop Bringing This Up
Because Aiden and Ryan were not at home, little Anan fussed about wanting to leave with Lily Turner, completely ignoring Easton Holmes who was sitting beside them.
"Alright! Let’s go play with little Yi." Since her own son was clamoring to leave, Lily Turner felt it was inappropriate to stay any longer. Moreover, even if they stayed, there was no guarantee they would catch Ryan when he came back, so she decided to curb her curiosity. After all, there would be plenty of opportunities to hear gossip later.
Lily Turner didn’t stand up immediately but tilted her head to look at Easton Holmes sitting next to her, "Honey! Let’s go."
As she spoke, she glanced at him with a hint of meaning.
"Alright."
When Lily Turner spoke to little Anan earlier, Easton Holmes already understood the intent of his wife. He had always fully supported her intentions and agreed without any hesitation.
After saying goodbye to Harriet White, Easton Holmes and Lily Turner left the Taylor Family home with little Anan.
The two of them would occasionally bring their babies to the Taylor Family home to play. Harriet White didn’t suspect their visit tonight was anything more than a simple playdate with little Anan.
But Evelyn Taylor, who was upstairs, didn’t think so. She kept feeling that Easton Holmes and Lily Turner came over for something but couldn’t go down to ask them directly for some reason.
Even though so much time had passed, she had gradually let go of Easton Holmes, but every time she saw those two, she still felt uncomfortable. Especially when she saw Lily Turner, there was an extreme awkwardness in her heart.
She thought she could never have a sisterly bond with that woman, even though they were first cousins. She just couldn’t accept this fact in her heart.
Knock, knock, knock!
Hearing the knocking, Evelyn Taylor quickly put away her thoughts and turned her head towards her room door, "The door’s open, come in."
From the knocking sound, she already knew who it was, apart from her own mother, it couldn’t be anyone else.
"You..."
"Why did you come up? That family of three left?"
Harriet White barely said the word "you" when Evelyn Taylor interrupted her.
As she asked, she instinctively glanced behind her own mother but didn’t see the little lad’s figure, confirming her suspicions.
But Harriet White didn’t think as much as Evelyn Taylor, and as she walked into the room, she casually replied, "Anan was clamoring to go play with a friend."
Saying this, she was already beside her daughter’s bed and sat down before giving her a chance to speak.
"Did those two come here for something?" Evelyn Taylor casually placed the phone she was holding next to her and looked up at her mother who had just sat beside her bed.
Hearing this, Harriet White blurted out, "They just brought little Anan over to play at our house."
She firmly believed this with no doubts whatsoever.
"Nothing else?" Harriet White’s answer left Evelyn Taylor with a hint of surprise. Could she have misjudged the situation?
Looking at her daughter, Harriet White shook her head, "No."
"Weren’t they here to let Anan play? Then why did they leave so quickly?" Evelyn Taylor still felt that those two had some purpose for coming over, but she had no concrete evidence to prove it; it was just a feeling.
Harriet White didn’t plan to continue this discussion with her daughter, so she changed the topic directly, "Stop bringing that up. Did you remember what I told you downstairs just now?"
