Chapter 126: The Fifth Item required for the Rebirth!
Emperal smirked as he saw the badger walking quietly beside him. He touched the words written on his chest.
"She is really a bit... overprotective."
The black sword hanging behind was one of her natal swords, which had come along with her bloodline powers.
Inside the words were some mysteries unknown to even him, just like the pinch of aura earlier he had allowed to leak.
"Do the future stages become so advanced that one can even store their aura in another person’s body?"
Emperal muttered to himself, just in time for the Infernal Dragon to speak.
"That is one of the most basic of abilities that comes along when you ascend to higher stages."
Emperal nodded. He understood that there was a vast system of unseen and overpowered abilities you achieve once you ascend. Even the start of the second phase of cultivation puts you on a much higher pedestal.
Looking down, "So? How far is the EverHeart tree?"
Emperal asked, to which the Badger merely shook its head.
"It’s still very, very far; it will probably take us a week if we travel at this pace."
"That is fine."
Emperal waved his hand. Both of the creatures passed through the forest at a moderate pace. Looking down at the creature running, Emperal couldn’t help but have secondary thoughts.
"This creature... according to Infernal Dragon, is immune to the elements and has a near-indestructible body! Not to mention even the soul energy didn’t do shit."
All the above-mentioned points were the truth, the little rat itself had told him. More like boasted to him.
"You shouldn’t forget about its nature, it is a trouble magnet, Emperal." The Infernal Dragon spoke. To Emperal’s shock, even the all-knowing Infernal Dragon didn’t have a single bit of knowledge about the creature.
This thing... just seemed to have popped out of nowhere. Shaking his head, he focused on what was in front of him.
The small branch of the EverHeart tree, the third item that he needed for a rebirth, alongside the blood of a Royal-blooded Virgin Elf.
The blood was counted alongside the branch... according to the Infernal Dragon. Thinking of the last two items, he couldn’t help but sigh.
"Infernal Dragon, from the last two. I just know about the Nirvana flames, which are in the possession of Soleine. But... What about the last one? What is that?"
Emperal asked, his heart was hammering in his chest. Just the mere thoughts of rebirth and its powers excited him.
The shit he had to go through to obtain all items was all worth it—at least he hoped so.
The Infernal Dragon let out a sigh when he heard Emperal.
"Alright, alright, it wasn’t as if it was something taboo. I just didn’t want to overwhelm your mind with despair by saying all the items at once."
Emperal’s eyes widened in surprise when he heard those words. "Tell me, what is the last item?"
"A template."
The moment those words echoed, all of Emperal’s excitement deflated.
"What do you mean by template? Please don’t tell me what I think it is." Emperal spoke, his heart skipping a beat.
"Yes, it is as you thought. You need a Fifth-tier Sovereign Spirit Root as a template. Then and only then can you attempt it."
"Fuck me sideways!"
Emperal cursed in his mind, his expression darkened. Seeing this, the Infernal Dragon chuckled.
"Didn’t I say it would be difficult? And yes, even according to my standards, obtaining it is very difficult. Those practitioners... just aren’t your average Joe."
Emperal took a deep breath. "So, any idea for the template?"
Though he doubted he would find anyone so eas—
"That woman who put you in an illusion... She has it. She possesses a Fifth-tier Spirit Root. The Sovereign Spirit Root."
Emperal immediately froze in his tracks, surprising the running badger.
"Oye! Smoll man, what happened to you?"
It shouted from a distance, but Emperal was nowhere in his correct state of mind to acknowledge those words.
"You mean... that purple-haired bitch?"
Emperal muttered, the colour on his face draining every second. Wasn’t this dragon basically asking him to go and die?
"Also, what do you mean by template? Should I kill her or... extract her Spirit Root?"
After the wave of panic subsided, he calmly asked. He was confused slightly by the situation. Could the Spirit Root even be extracted?
"Yes and no. You do not have to kill the woman or extract her Spirit Root. It’s just that her presence is needed during the ritual."
"That means..."
"Yes, you have to subdue that woman."
Sigh...
"Why is this damn life so hard and complicated?" Emperal spoke, kicking a nearby stone in anger.
His frustration was valid by all means, but... did anyone care about his circumstances? No.
Would someone help him out of kindness? No. Would someone do all his hard work and bring him the results? No.
At the end of the day, it was just him and him only. A man, trying to defy the Indomitable and undefeatable fate itself.
It was like a small shrimp going against the outer space currents. Which was... Insanity itself.
"But... just which individual didn’t have to cross at least one storm in their lives?"
Emperal muttered, his dark eyes began to shine lightly. And unknown to him, a brilliant Amber light was reflected from his eyes, spiking the temperature so high that even the badger frowned from a distance.
"Oye! Smoll man, how long are you going to be standing there! I don’t have all day!"
The Badger screamed, waking Emperal from his reverie.
"Yes, yes, you wet dog. I am coming."
Emperal took a step forward and appeared beside the badger.
"Let’s go."
The badger snorted, but didn’t say anything. Its stubby legs shifted as it took a long leap.
...
A bit away from the central zone, in the dense part of the forest.
A dozen cultivators could be seen surrounding a tall, muscular man in the middle. There was even a Stage Two Verth Shaper among the group, mirroring the cultivation of the man standing in the middle.
The Verth Shaping practitioners took a step forward. The surrounding gravity suddenly spiked high.
And the temperature dropped.
"Brat, hand over that dead body. Or else you will face far harsher consequences." The Stage Two Verth Shaper’s aura pressed down on Calder; the air itself felt heavy.
But to the Verth Shaper’s surprise, Calder didn’t move in the slightest. Instead, his expression darkened.
"...I won’t. What are you gonna do about it?"
Calder spoke flatly, still unaffected by the gravity. The Titan Verth Shaper’s patience finally snapped. He gestured with his hand. The surrounding cultivators immediately backed away.
"Where do you think you are going?" Calder’s lips curled slightly. A thin, pale green light spread from his hand. This soon transformed into acidic venom. He waved his hand at the nearby Titan.
A ray of liquid shot from his hand and directly pierced the body, and under the horrified eyes of the Verth Shaper.
The Titan’s body began to pale. Every form of liquid in his body was suddenly drained... leaving nothing but a husk behind.
The green liquid flickered slightly, getting an even deeper colour.
"D-Demon!"
One of the cultivators shouted. The others immediately snapped into realization. And before the Verth Shaper could even do anything, one by one all the Titans fell, just like their friend.
The Shaper stood still for a second. "No wonder you were able to kill Platice, a Stage Three Verth Shaper. The Leader is right, you have to die."
The Shaper’s eyes began to glow. Calder frowned when he felt an immense pressure press down on his body. His muscles tightened as he raised his hand in a defensive stance.
The Titan lunged at him with a roar. Gravity collapsing inwardly around his strike, it was a technique designed to crush. And crush—it did.
Before the fist could even connect with Calder, a monstrous force slammed into his body, blasting him for several miles!
He blasted past several trees before steadying himself. "Tch, that damn Shaper is annoy—!!"
Before he could complete his words, the Titan Shaper was already high above him, his fist descending with inhuman momentum.
BOOM!!!
The Titan’s fist connected to Calder’s face, making his expression go blank for a second before returning to normal.
His eyes shook as he looked at the man slowly walking towards him. Raising his shaky hand, he conjured his poison and lunged towards the Shaper.
Just in time for it to bump into a barrier of compressed gravity... the liquid hissed lightly before returning to Calder.
"Hmph! Do you think I didn’t study about that poison of yours? You are way too predictable."
The Titan sneered, making realization shine in Calder’s eyes.
"That... bunch of Titans. You let them die... just because you wanted to confirm the lethality of my poison?"
Calder’s expression changed slightly. The man smirked down when he saw Calder’s expression.
"Bingo."
His hand shot forward as he gripped Calder’s neck.
"Hehe, bastard. You have been arrogant for way too long. It’s time to teach you a lesson."

(A/N: Hello dear readers, its the author here. I hope you are liking the Chapters and the story so far, today just a single Chapter because of my worsening health condition. And as depressing the featuring system of Webnovel is, this novel isn’t even getting the tenth of the attention it should get. And honestly, it has become quiet hard to maintain stability these days. I am not the one to ask, but let me be shameless this time and ask for a Super Gift hehe~ Have great reading time! :)
