Chapter 115: Chapter 115 Royal Rumble

"Royal Rumble?"

The students looked around in confusion. Many of them had never heard of such a thing before.

Suddenly, Isaak appeared above them from the darkness. He was currently standing on top of a strange-looking monster that resembled a giant clock.

Its body was covered in rotating gears and glowing symbols, while several floating clock hands circled around it continuously. The sight immediately captured everyone’s attention.

"Yes! For the next four years, all of you will be studying together. You will fight side by side as teammates. Or perhaps against each other in tournaments. So naturally, all of you should become familiar with each other’s monsters and abilities." Isaak spread his arms dramatically. He then pointed toward the clock monster beneath him.

"Now, let me explain how my style of Royal Rumble works. When my monster, Voidhour, starts its timing, the game will begin. After one minute, any platform that contains only one person or no person at all will immediately collapse. And the person standing on it will be eliminated."

"Meanwhile, platforms containing more than one person will enter the battle phase. Those students will have five minutes to eliminate each other until only one remains."

"After five minutes, if there is still more than one person on the platform, the platform will also collapse."

A collective gulp spread throughout the students. There was actually no room for hiding, no room for stalling and of course no room for alliances that lasted too long. Eventually, everyone would be forced to fight.

Meanwhile, Oliver stood on his platform as his golden eyes scanned the battlefield.

"Which one should I go for? Should I go straight for the top targets, or should I eliminate the weaker ones first?" Oliver muttered.

As he observed the chaos unfolding around him, Oliver’s eyes moved from platform to platform, as other students were jumping between platforms to avoid being isolated when the timer reached zero.

Meanwhile, on another platform, Gloria was feeling increasingly anxious. This type of battle was all about aggressive offense.

Unfortunately, she specialized in support, and most of her monsters excelled at assisting allies rather than defeating enemies directly.

Suddenly, a small group of students wearing the red uniforms of House Solmire landed on her platform.

"No! Go away, or you will regret it!" Gloria shouted as she raised her hand forward.

The group only laughed.

"You think we don’t know about you? You’re a famous support tamer in your region. Everyone knows your combat ability isn’t great. Just stay quiet and let us eliminate you."

One of them stepped forward confidently while others remained firmly on the platform.

Gloria clenched her fists as her heart was beating rapidly. Of course she wanted the reward. But at this rate, she might become one of the first students eliminated.

Just as she was preparing herself for the worst, a silver-haired woman landed on the platform and Gloria’s eyes widened.

"Ophelia!"

Relief instantly filled her face as she saw her roommate standing in front of her. Ophelia calmly drew her weapon and faced the Solmire students.

"Tch! Reinforcements!" one of them clicked his tongue.

However, it did not end there. A moment later, another figure landed behind them. A young man with black hair.

"O-Oliver?!" The Solmire group exclaimed in surprise.

Oliver slowly stood up after landing as his dagger gleamed in his hand. A confident smirk appeared on his face, while his golden eyes locked onto the students before him.

He had already chosen his targets. Ophelia and Gloria. And anyone standing between him and them.

"Wow! Three of the top students have gathered on the same platform right from the start! This is going to be very interesting!" Isaak exclaimed excitedly from above.

Even the other students nearby began paying attention. After all, the platform now contained three of the most talked-about candidates from the selection ceremony.

The sound of the clock heard throughout the dark space.

Immediately, all of the empty platforms began collapsing one after another. Large cracks spread across their surfaces before they shattered into countless fragments and disappeared into the darkness below.

Fortunately, it seemed that none of the students had remained alone on a platform as everyone had managed to group up before the countdown ended.

Then suddenly, the timer above changed.

"Five minutes start now! Eliminate your enemies!" Isaak shouted excitedly from above.

Oliver tightly gripped his dagger before rushing forward.

On the same platform, Ophelia was already raising her hand to summon her monster, while Gloria planned to do the same. Neither side intended to hold back.

Meanwhile, on another platform, Max was sweating heavily. Unfortunately for him, he had accidentally landed in one of the worst possible groups.

Not far from him, Kai was facing nearly twenty enemies at the same time.

Meanwhile, Klade was standing at the center of a large group of students, naturally taking command of them.

And instantly, the entire battlefield exploded into action!
