Chapter 734: Chapter 705: Love in a Parallel Universe [027]

Sienna followed Simon Forrester into the office. A cashmere blanket was draped over the sofa.

She turned to look at Simon Forrester, who was drawing the curtains on the glass door: "What time did you sleep?"

"Maybe around six o’clock."

"So you got up after just a little over an hour of rest?"

Simon Forrester finished drawing the curtains and turned on the warm yellow lights, making the office invisible from outside.

He walked over, pulled Sienna into his arms, his fingers running through her slightly chilled long hair, and kissed her softly, asking in a low voice, "Why didn’t you sleep a little longer on such a cold day?"

She nestled obediently in his arms, saying, "I was worried you wouldn’t have a warm breakfast at work, so I brought some porridge for you."

He laughed, lifted her into his arms, carried her to the sofa, removed her coat, and wrapped her slender body in the cashmere blanket.

The heater was on in the office. With him holding her and the soft, warm cashmere blanket wrapped around her, her previously upset mood eased considerably.

He held her, kissed her earlobe, and in a lowered voice asked, "Would you like something to drink?"

"Just warm water is fine."

"Alright." He tucked the blanket around her a bit more and got up to pour some water at the bar counter.

She sat on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket smelling of him, looking at him with complex emotions.

He was dressed in a light blue cashmere sweater, dark blue straight-leg jeans, with thick brown hair naturally falling over his forehead, looking clean and warm.

He stood by the bar counter, with his back to her. She stared dazedly at his back, thinking of what the security guard had just said, feeling both troubled and pained, and in a rush, asked, "Is there a female designer here with the last name Sinclair?"

When she said this, her eyes never left Simon Forrester.

Simon Forrester’s hand, which was pouring water, paused, stopped halfway, and after a few seconds, resumed pouring.

He turned around with the cup in hand, sat next to her, and laughed, "Yes, her name is Nina Sinclair, her mom and my mom are good friends."

"So..." Sienna’s voice fell, "you grew up together."

Simon Forrester laughed, pulling her into his arms, "What do you mean by childhood sweethearts?"

"Growing up together, a very close male and female relationship."

"That’s not childhood sweethearts," Simon Forrester explained, "it’s just that when we were very young, our moms would meet for meals and bring the kids along. Later, when I started middle school, I stopped going out with my mom and hadn’t seen her in many years. At most, it’s a non-stranger, superior-subordinate relationship, nothing more."

"But the security guard downstairs said she is your girlfriend..." Sienna said, a few tears falling onto the blanket.

Simon Forrester quickly pulled out a few tissues to wipe her tears: "The security guard misunderstood, it’s impossible for something like this to happen..."

Sienna looked at him tearfully, sniffling and asking, "Does she like you?"

"No! Impossible!" Simon Forrester replied without thinking, firmly, "That’s absolutely impossible! Don’t worry!"

How could she not worry?

Someone who likes her boyfriend working closely with him, spending more time with him than she, the official girlfriend, does, how could she not worry?

If Simon Forrester were like Douglas Fulton—ugly, fat, and lacking in manners—it would be fine, but Simon Forrester is handsome, talented, and very gentlemanly. How could Sienna not worry?

Even if Simon Forrester isn’t interested, it doesn’t mean others wouldn’t take the chance to swoop in, especially recently when he rests in the office at night. What if someone sneaks in to seduce him? Or he develops feelings for that designer from close daily interactions?

Sienna felt like she was worrying herself to death.

Simon Forrester not introducing her to friends was already an unresolved issue, and now there’s news of such a person. It’s one trouble after another, making this relationship feel like it’s taking years off her life.

Simon Forrester saw her sitting there, silent, with knitted brows and a bowed head. She wasn’t crying but still looked very upset.

He didn’t have a good solution, only holding her and gently comforting her.

With the two of them so close together, he was moved, held her face, and kissed her lips intricately...

Suddenly, someone pushed the door open from outside.

Sienna was startled, instinctively grabbing the blanket to cover her face.

Simon Forrester was also shocked, looking at the person who entered.

"Have you finished reviewing those drawings?" Logan Lockwood raised his eyes, glancing at the dim lights in the office, "If you’re going to sleep, go upstairs. Later, I still need to come in and get some things..."

Before finishing his sentence, he saw Simon Forrester holding someone in his arms and was also shocked, standing there motionless, not knowing whether to go in or out.

He instinctively wanted to see if it was a man or woman but didn’t get a look, so he turned to see the pair of pink snow boots beneath the sofa, fueling his gossip curiosity like a wildfire.

Oh my God! I actually caught Monk Forrester in the office holding a woman!

Oh my God, this is explosive news!

He really wanted to take out his phone and tell Gage Grant and Jack Hawthorne in the group chat about this explosive news but feared it would be rude to leave without at least exchanging greetings with Simon Forrester’s woman, so he stood there awkwardly, full of curiosity.

Simon Forrester exhaled a breath, leaned close to Sienna’s ear, and whispered, "This is my partner, Logan Lockwood, say hi." After speaking, he patted Sienna’s arm.

"Oh."

Sienna responded softly, blushing, lowered the blanket, stood up, and nodded towards Logan Lockwood, "Hello Mr. Langford, I am Sienna."

The moment she stood up, Logan Lockwood raised an eyebrow, looked her up and down, and then chuckled, "Nice to meet you, hello hello."

After speaking, he looked towards Simon Forrester, pointing to the door behind him, "You two chat first, I’ll come back later, don’t want to disturb."

He turned to leave, Simon Forrester cleared his throat, "Wyatt."

"Yeah?" Logan Lockwood turned around.

Simon Forrester looked down at Sienna, whose face was red and head lowered, held her by the shoulder, and with his own face a little red, said naturally, "Sienna and I got together on the first snow day, she’s my girlfriend."

"The first snow?" Logan Lockwood didn’t remember when that was, but still smiled, "Congratulations! You two are truly a perfect match! I’ll go get busy, let’s have a meal together soon."

After speaking, he closed the door and quickly slipped back to the next office. Before even warming the chair, he picked up the phone and rapidly typed in the group chat:

"Damn, Jules has a woman! This restrained guy is always looking at blueprints in the office, didn’t know where he found a girlfriend!"

It was 8 a.m., and in the group chat, the guys who spent nights carousing and put on their business suits in the morning were dozing off in the back seats of their cars. Hearing the group chat notification, they opened their hangover-heavy eyes, and upon seeing the news, they instantly perked up.
