Chapter 735: Chapter 706: Love in a Parallel Universe [028]
(Extra November Monthly Ticket Update 12/13)
Vincent: "What kind of girl is she?"
Kyle: "Where is she from?"
Thomas: "How old is she? What does she do?"
Tobias: "Stop gossiping."
Jack: "Tall or short? Fat or thin? Dark or fair? On a scale of looks, how does she score?"
Logan’s fingers flew over the phone, and soon he sent back several heavy messages in quick succession:
Logan: "Judging by the accent, she’s a local, estimated to be over 1.7 meters tall, slim but with a great figure, white as a porcelain doll, and in terms of looks, a 99 out of 100."
Jack sent a drooling emoji and replied: "Jules has been pretty lucky with love lately! I ran into him having lunch with a young woman at Skylight Gardens last Saturday, and she was quite pretty too. I was thinking of asking if she had any girlfriends..."
In the group chat, except for Tobias, who registered his marriage with Nadia in London five years ago, the rest were all old bachelors. Hearing Simon found a girlfriend, they were eager, expressing their desire to find one too.
Vincent: "In such cold weather, you should have a girl to warm the bed with!"
Jack: "Weren’t you chasing after a movie star? Haven’t you finished building Mooncrest for her yet, did you get the girl?"
Vincent: "I even became the Head Fan, but she’s still ignoring me (doghead.jpg)"
Realizing he was about to start his "grumbling lady" mode again, everyone quickly went offline.
Logan closed his phone, and Harrison happened to come in. Seeing Logan’s body was in the door, but his head was still turned towards Simon’s tightly closed office door, he asked, "Do you know what’s going on with the girl in Jules’s office?"
Upon hearing, Harrison quickly turned his head back, closed the door, and leaned toward Logan with a mysterious air: "Vantage’s lawyer! The boss didn’t even wear his coat and personally brought her up here early in the morning."
Logan chuckled, crossed his legs, and put them on the desk: "When your girlfriend comes to check on you early in the morning, you must go down to greet her!"
"What? She really is his girlfriend?!"
Logan didn’t respond, tossed a cigarette to Harrison, lit one for himself, took a puff, squinted his eyes, and laughed: "Vantage’s lawyer? Probably Thomas Reed set it up. This kid Jules, I bet he got captivated by her beauty."
The two were there joking about Simon, chatting away enthusiastically when the door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.
Simon stood at the door with a dark face: "Harrison, come here!"
Harrison felt a pang of dread, "Oh my god," stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, exchanged a look with Logan, and quickly followed Simon to his office.
Seeing the room empty, Harrison boldly asked: "Did Lawyer Thorne leave?"
Simon still had a dark expression, sat down, sunk into the chair, and coldly gazed out the floor-to-ceiling window at the yard.
Around half past eight at this moment, the design firm’s staff were arriving one after another. Some senior designers drove their cars directly into the courtyard, while the junior ones had to handle their parking issues themselves.
Simon saw Nina Sinclair’s red BMW brazenly driving into the firm, his gaze turned even colder: "Who allowed Jane Sinclair to drive her car into the firm?"
"Is that true?" Harrison scratched his head, leaned over to check, "I hadn’t noticed."
"Ask the security to get it cleared up! If she demanded the security make an exception, send both of them out!"
"This..." Harrison was in a tough spot, "But we can’t fire Jane Sinclair, can we? Isn’t she your mother’s sister’s daughter?"
