Chapter 396: Chapter 396: The Snowgrave Dragon [2], It Has A Forbidden Spell?

Swash!

The dragon swung its claws in a wide arc, but it seemed like everybody who was left was actually pretty competent and able to dodge the attacks.

The two lizard-race players dodged the attack and rushed forward, their daggers flashing with deadly intent.

SLASH!

They swung at the dragon’s torso, and surprisingly, they managed to put a small wound on it, drawing first blood from the massive beast.

"The poison should work now," the male lizard smiled at his companion, "Should we sit back and let it do the work?"

"The chance of our poison dealing the finishing blow are too low," the female lizard shook her head, "Lets deal with the rest of the competition instead."

And so, as soon as they did that, they immediately backed away and rushed toward the other players, turning the fight into chaos.

"WAIT," the elf player shouted as he lifted his scepter, casting a barrier around him, "WE CAN—"

The two lizards slashed at his neck and torso, destroying his barrier and killing him before he could cast his attacking spell.

Then they rushed toward the three insect players.

Of course, they were much more prepared than the lone elf as they faced the lizard head on, their insectoid limbs ready for combat.

Meanwhile, Leon, Violet, Orion and even the snowgrave dragon simply kept looking, observing the chaos unfold.

"Maybe we should do something?" Violet tilted her head, "I mean..."

"Oh yeah, no, you’re right," Leon lifted his staff, ready to intervene.

Vines of Torment!

He unleashed his vines all over the area as they erupted from the ground around not only the dragon, but the other players as well, who were forced to back away from the sudden attack.

Unfortunately for him, one of the insect-race players was caught, and Violet quickly dealt with him using her rapier as she flew into the air.

"We can both fly, I don’t think this is good for you," Orion smiled, clearly enjoying the chaos.

Golden Rings!

The angel summoned his golden rings around him and launched them toward Violet who was in mid-air.

The dragoness dodged them or deflected them using her rapier, confused as to what the angel was even doing with the strange attack.

She flapped her wings and rushed toward him, aiming to attack him directly, but right as she was about to do that... she heard a shout from below.

"THE RINGS COME BACK!"

Violet looked down and saw that it was Leon warning her, and indeed, as she looked back, she saw the rings coming back toward her from behind.

SLASH!

She dodged or deflected them again, and this time they actually disappeared, the skill ending.

"Tch," Orion’s eyes flared as he looked down, "I guess you were looking at that time, how annoying."

If Leon hadn’t told Violet about the rings returning, she would have been cut apart by them, so she immediately backed away, feeling the power swell around Orion as he prepared his next move.

"Scared?" Orion grinned, "There’s no need to be, none of you can defeat me after all."

But at that moment, time went still around the area, and that wasn’t because Leon had used [Time Stop] to freeze the battlefield.

Instead, the snowgrave dragon raised its wings and lifted its mouth toward the sky, the icy aura around it growing larger and more intense with each passing second.

And at that moment, everyone around understood one thing: it was unleashing a powerful skill that would devastate the area.

"Hell nah," one of the insect players muttered.

The insect players immediately tried to run, and even the lizard-race players felt like staying around here was not a good idea given the power building around them.

Violet flapped her wings toward Leon, her expression filled with concern, "Should we get out of here?!"

"Hm..." Leon observed the dragon, then looked at Orion, who hadn’t moved from his position, "You can go, I’ll stay here."

"But..."

"Its fine," Leon smiled, "I got a few tricks up my sleeve in case anything happens, don’t worry about me."

"Alright..." Violet said hesitantly before flying away.

Violet flapped her wings to leave the area as the snowgrave dragon continued to charge its attack, the energy building to a crescendo.

The vortex in the sky began to grow as a result, and blue clouds formed above, swirling with immense power.

"No point in running," Orion laughed loudly, "After all... this attack is about to hit the entire domain!"

Iris’ domain had grown small enough that only a few kilometers separated the barriers on either side.

"ALL THOSE TOO WEAK WILL BE ERASED," Orion continued grinning, "LETS SEE HOW FAR THESE INFERIORS CAN GO!"

’Edgy much.’

[23 participants remain.]

All 23 people still alive at that moment looked up at the sky as the phenomenon kept going, the entire domain growing colder and colder, enough for some people to actually start feeling chilly and shivering.

FWOOOOSH!

Leon immediately rushed forward and used [Eclipse Dance] while the dragon was charging its attack, hoping to interrupt it.

But unfortunately, his attacks were ineffective against the dragon’s defenses.

BAM!

Every single one of his skill’s slashes simply hit an icy transparent barrier positioned around the dragon, deflecting them harmlessly.

"What? Did you think I didn’t attack it for show?" Orion smiled, "You can’t hit it until it finishes casting its forbidden spell."

"Its a fucking forbidden spell?!" Leon’s eyes widened in shock, "Holy hell we’re all dead if that goes off."

"Only the inferiors," the angel shrugged, "It does seem like Lady Iris never planned for more than ten people to remain alive though."

Sensing that impending doom was coming and that the dragon’s attack would wipe out everyone, Leon knew that he needed to act fast.

Fissures started to appear all over the sky’s surface and the blue clouds continued to swirl, gaining more and more energy with each moment.

The dragon’s eyes turned completely blank, and the ice energy reached its peak, ready to unleash devastation.

But if the dragon wanted to use a forbidden spell, one that could destroy an entire kingdom... then so would Leon.

With a powerful breath, he closed his eyes, focusing his mana into his staff and into the very essence of his being, channeling everything he had.

And once both the dragon and Leon were done charging their attacks... they both unleashed their forbidden spells at the exact same moment.

Snowgrave!

Quickly followed by...

Oblivion Meteor!

It seemed like truly nobody in this domain would survive the clash of two catastrophic forces.
