Chapter 539: Chapter 539: Absolute Suppression! Frieza’s Final Madness
Frieza’s eye twitched violently. He stared as his vaunted Death Beam strikes hit Goku without even managing to singe the fabric of his clothes.
It was completely impossible. He was the Emperor of the Universe! The entirety of creation trembled at his feet. How could a mere Filthy Monkey possibly shrug off his attacks? He had conquered countless galaxies and annihilated innumerable planets. No one had ever survived an encounter with his Final Form.
Frieza’s face twisted into an ugly, contorted mask of fury. He refused to accept this absurd reality. It was an intolerable affront to his dignity.
"DIE!"
Frieza waved his hands frantically in front of his chest. His fingertips glowed with a sickeningly dense barrage of crimson light. Hundreds, thousands of red energy blasts rained down like a catastrophic meteor shower, all converging directly on Goku’s position.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! A deafening, continuous chain of explosions ripped across Namek’s surface. The crust for ten miles around was entirely overturned. Scalding magma was blasted high into the sky, and mushroom clouds bloomed one after another. The entire sector was transformed into a literal hellscape. The shockwaves alone were powerful enough to shred a starship to pieces.
Frieza didn’t stop. He was venting his terror. Yes, terror. He absolutely forbade himself from feeling such an emotion toward a Saiyan, so he had to blow this nuisance into subatomic dust.
Finally stopping his assault, Frieza gasped heavily, staring down into the rolling smoke. No one could survive a bombardment of that density. Not even the so-called legendary Super Saiyan. He convinced himself that the previous display had been an illusion. The Saiyans were extinct; these few lingering remnants couldn’t possibly pose a threat.
But before a smile could even form on his lips, a blinding ray of golden light forcefully tore the smoke apart.
Goku stepped out, walking slowly and deliberately over the crushed rock. The golden aura surrounding him acted as an absolute, impenetrable shield, effortlessly deflecting all residual heat and shockwaves. He wasn’t even attempting to defend himself. He was just walking. The ground beneath his boots shattered under the sheer weight of his overflowing Ki.
Goku looked up. His emerald eyes locked onto Frieza in the sky.
There was no warmth in that gaze. No anger. No joy. He was looking at Frieza as if he were already a corpse.
That single look made Frieza’s heart skip a beat.
Infuriated by the perceived insult, Frieza exploded. How dare a Low-Class Warrior look at the Emperor of the Universe with such eyes?! He let out a piercing shriek, transforming into a blur of white lightning as he closed the distance in the blink of an eye.
Channeling every ounce of his strength into his right fist, Frieza aimed a punch directly at Goku’s face, the sonic boom tearing through the air. That punch could shatter a small asteroid. He was going to cave in that infuriating face.
Goku didn’t even blink. He casually raised his left hand.
Bang. An extremely dull thud echoed across the wasteland. Frieza’s fist was caught dead in Goku’s palm. It stopped instantly, unable to push forward a single millimeter.
Frieza’s pupils contracted to pinpricks. It felt as though he hadn’t struck flesh and blood, but an immovable, divine mountain. The massive recoil sent a numbing shock all the way up his arm.
"Is this all the strength you have?" Goku asked, his voice completely devoid of inflection.
Before Frieza could even process the words, Goku’s right fist moved. It was so fast that Frieza’s eyes couldn’t even register the motion.
The heavy fist buried itself deep into Frieza’s abdomen.
Crack. The distinct sound of snapping bones was terrifyingly loud. Frieza’s eyes bulged grotesquely from their sockets. His jaw unhinged as he violently vomited a massive spray of purple blood. The agonizing pain nearly wiped his consciousness clean. His internal organs were entirely displaced by the sheer violence of the blow.
Goku pulled his fist back. Frieza was launched backward like a cannonball, crashing through over a dozen towering stone spires before finally plowing deep into a pile of rubble, completely buried.
The entire exchange had taken less than two seconds.
In the distant crater, Kaido and Akainu hesitantly peeked out. Witnessing the absurd scene, both men felt their scalps tingle with pure shock.
Akainu swallowed hard, his grip on Zanka no Tachi trembling slightly. The terrifying alien emperor who had pinned the three of them to the dirt just minutes ago was now being batted around like a toy.
What was this? Had the power scaling completely collapsed?
Akainu felt his entire understanding of the world suffer a catastrophic blow. His vaunted Mag-Mag Fruit felt like a pathetic joke in the face of these otherworldly monsters. A being that couldn’t even be scratched by the Bankai of Zanka no Tachi had just been sent flying by a single punch from this blonde native.
Kaido spat out another mouthful of dirt and blood. He cursed under his breath. This Saiyan was an entirely unreasonable freak of nature. He had been beaten half to death, but changing his hair color suddenly elevated him to an incomprehensible dimension of power. It completely flipped the script of the battle.
"Hey, Akainu," Kaido whispered, his voice uncharacteristically tense. "Shouldn’t we start thinking about how to run? What if this kid finishes off the White-Skinned Runt and decides to turn on us next?"
Kaido was genuinely starting to panic. He loved seeking death in the One Piece world, but in this hellhole where people casually blew up planets, his dragon life wasn’t nearly tough enough to survive.
Akainu gritted his teeth and remained silent. His pride as a Marine wouldn’t allow him to admit fear, but his logic screamed that interfering now was suicide.
Hidden even further away, Doflamingo clamped his hands over his mouth, terrified of making even the slightest sound. Back at Partys Bar, everyone staring at the massive holographic screen was equally speechless. Even Whitebeard had put down his sake bowl. Garp’s eyes were so wide he hadn’t noticed his rice cracker hit the floor.
"What... what kind of power system is this?" Sengoku muttered in disbelief. The sheer, unadulterated oppressive weight of the blonde man radiated through the screen.
Back on Namek, Goku didn’t pursue. He stood perfectly still, his golden aura growing increasingly violent, lifting rocks into the air to be vaporized.
He pointed a finger toward the ruins where Frieza had crashed.
"Get up," Goku ordered, his voice cold as ice. "I know you’re not dead. Stop pretending."
The rubble shifted. Boulders were thrown aside as Frieza crawled out, looking incredibly disheveled. His pristine white body was caked in dirt and blood, and a deep, sunken fist imprint marked his stomach.
"You’re going to pay in blood today," Goku stated, his eyes locked on the tyrant. "You will pay for Krillin’s life."
It wasn’t a threat; it was an absolute decree. There was no room for negotiation. Krillin’s death would be paid for with Frieza’s life.
The memory of the crimson beam piercing Krillin’s chest flashed in Goku’s mind, stoking the fires of rage in his chest. The golden aura flared dozens of meters high, shaking the very earth beneath him.
Frieza wiped the purple blood from the corner of his mouth. He kept his head down, his shoulders beginning to shake. A grating, piercing laughter erupted from his throat, growing louder and louder until it echoed across the desolate wasteland.
"How amusing," Frieza sneered, lifting his head to reveal a face twisted in absolute madness. "To think a mere Filthy Monkey could push me this far."
He spread his arms wide. "Did you really think you had won? Did you think this was the extent of my power?"
The air around Frieza began to violently vibrate. A dense, purple aura surged outward like a physical wave.
"I’ll admit, you are strong. But you made one fatal mistake."
Frieza’s musculature began to expand in a grotesque, horrifying manner. His sleek frame was vanishing, replaced by bulging, exaggerated mass. Veins throbbed thickly beneath his skin.
"You gave me time to catch my breath! Now, allow me to show you..."
"100% FULL POWER!"
Frieza let out an earth-shattering roar, and the sky above Namek plunged into absolute, pitch-black darkness.
