Chapter 540: Chapter 540: Sending the Emperor Flying with One Hand

Frieza’s deafening roar pierced straight through Namek’s heavy cloud cover.

His muscles underwent a grotesque, hyper-expansion. His previously sleek, proportionate body ballooned in an instant. His shoulders rose like twin boulders, and his chest and abdominal muscles looked like thick slabs of steel bolted to his frame. Throbbing purple veins crawled across his forehead and limbs like fat earthworms.

He looked like a malformed, hulking beast.

A terrifying, localized storm of Ki blasted outward from him, creating a physical hurricane that forced the erupting magma back down into the fissures. The gale swept across the wasteland, stripping the topsoil away layer by layer.

Goku stood perfectly still. The blazing golden aura flared brightly, acting as a flawless shield against the flying debris and sand. He didn’t seize the opening to attack, nor did he attempt to interrupt the transformation. He simply stood with his arms crossed, his emerald eyes devoid of a single ripple of emotion.

His Saiyan pride dictated his actions. He was going to wait. He would wait until Frieza laid all his cards on the table, until he reached his absolute, undisputed peak. And then, he would crush the Emperor of the Universe at his strongest point, breaking him entirely. Only by drowning Frieza in absolute despair could he appease Krillin’s soul.

"DIE, you Filthy Monkey!"

Having reached his 100% Full Power state, Frieza launched his assault. The ground beneath him detonated, leaving a massive crater as he transformed into a purple meteor, barreling toward Goku with world-ending momentum.

He threw both fists out simultaneously, unleashing a torrential downpour of afterimages. Every single strike broke the sound barrier, compressing the air into razor-sharp, high-pressure air blades that viciously carved through the surrounding landscape. The space between them was saturated with violent, omnidirectional attacks.

Had Kaido or Akainu been caught in that barrage, even a grazing blow would have shredded them to pieces.

Yet, Goku strolled casually through the storm of fists. He didn’t even raise his hands to counter. Using microscopic shifts in his posture—a slight tilt of his head, a pivot of his waist, a lean backward—he effortlessly evaded every single one of Frieza’s planet-shattering punches. The golden aura remained perfectly undisturbed.

"Too slow," Goku spoke, his voice so flat it was maddening. "Your Ki is a chaotic mess. This forced, stamina-draining transformation won’t last long. You can’t even control your own 100% power. It’s truly ugly."

The words were like a poisonous thorn, plunged viciously into Frieza’s heart. To be lectured by a Low-Class Warrior was a humiliation the Emperor could not abide.

Infuriated, Frieza halted his punches, contorting his body mid-air to an impossible angle. He lashed out with a devastating, purple-glowing whip kick aimed squarely at Goku’s ribs. The sheer force of the kick could have bisected a continent.

Goku didn’t even look. He casually raised his right knee.

Bang. A heavy, sickening thud rang out as Frieza’s shin slammed directly into Goku’s knee. The massive recoil shot back up Frieza’s leg, and a horrific snap echoed from his calf. Agony twisted his face into a grimace.

Before Frieza could retreat, Goku’s large hand shot out, clamping down on Frieza’s ankle like an industrial vice. The grip was so crushing it felt as though it would pulverize the bone.

Panic flared in Frieza’s chest. He desperately tried to pull free, but the hand was immovable.

Goku’s eyes darkened. Using Frieza’s ankle as a pivot, he swung his arm like a massive hammer, hurling the Emperor through the air. Frieza became a purple blur before slamming violently into the earth.

BOOM! Planet Namek let out a mournful wail. Frieza was driven deep into the crust, triggering a catastrophic earthquake that ripped a chasm thousands of meters deep across the hemisphere. Millions of tons of rock and dirt collapsed inward, burying the tyrant completely.

In the distant ruins, Doflamingo was wedged deep inside a narrow crevice. His pink feathered mantle was ruined, and his sunglasses were missing a lens. Through the remaining tinted glass, he stared unblinking at the golden man in the center of the battlefield, his body trembling uncontrollably. He swallowed hard.

He looked at his own String-String Fruit abilities, remembering the Cursed Energy he had spent a hundred million Beri to acquire back at Partys Bar. He had always believed himself a genius. He had awakened his Devil Fruit, mastered Conqueror’s Haki, and even perfectly synthesized otherworldly powers. He had genuinely thought he could dominate this high-tier dungeon.

But now, he felt like an absolute clown. The White-Skinned Runt could destroy planets with a finger, and the golden native was beating that runt like a dog. His vaunted God Thread would be utterly useless against either of them. The power he had spent a fortune on was garbage in the face of these monsters.

His worldview was crushed. In Dressrosa, in the Underworld, he was the untouchable Joker who manipulated everything. Here, he was a frog at the bottom of the well.

"Just what the hell kind of cursed world is this..." Doflamingo ground out, shrinking further into the shadows of the crevice. His only goal was to survive.

Down in his crater, Akainu wiped the blood from his face, staring at the snapped halves of Zanka no Tachi in his hands. Fifteen million degrees hadn’t even burned the White-Skinned Runt’s skin. Yet, the golden Saiyan was crushing the alien through pure, physical violence.

Akainu had always believed that Absolute Justice required absolute power. Today, he witnessed true absolute power. His prized Mag-Mag Fruit wasn’t even fit to light a cigarette for these entities. If monsters like this invaded the One Piece world, Marine Headquarters wouldn’t last a single second.

He clenched his fists. Even if it cost him his life, he had to secure a stronger power from this dungeon.

Kaido lay nearby, gasping for air. Most of his dragon scales were gone, and his wounds were still bleeding. Yet, he grinned, the motion pulling at his injuries and making him hiss in pain. He didn’t care. He had spent his life seeking the ultimate battle, seeking someone who could kill him. Today, he found it.

"I’m taking this fighting style back with me," Kaido spat bloody saliva. "This is a real battle. That bastard Blake actually hid something this fun."

The blonde monkey’s transformed state was absolute perfection. No flashy tricks. Just the absolute pinnacle of physical violence and Ki manipulation. This was the exact path Kaido needed to take. He resolved to push his Rayquaza template to its absolute limits upon his return. If that failed, he’d shamelessly beg Blake for guidance. After all, he was Security Guard No. 007. He’d wash dishes for a century if it meant obtaining that power.

In the center of the battlefield, Goku opened his hand, staring down into the bottomless chasm. The golden light didn’t dim; it surged even higher. He knew Frieza wasn’t dead. Monsters of that caliber didn’t die so easily.

Suddenly, a blinding red light erupted from the depths of the abyss. The temperature spiked drastically, instantly vaporizing the magma below into gas.

A roar of pure, venomous hatred tore from the earth.

"I’LL SLAUGHTER EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!"

BOOM! A purple streak rocketed into the sky. Frieza, covered in dirt and completely unhinged, hoisted both hands high above his head, supporting a colossal red energy sphere—a Death Ball exponentially larger than the one that had just ravaged Namek.

The terrifying aura of annihilation blanketed the crumbling planet once more.
