Chapter 538: Chapter 538: Legend Awakens! The Super Saiyan Descends

Gale-force winds whipped up, dispersing the lingering mist of blood.

A thick bolt of lightning abruptly tore through the crimson-stained sky. BOOM! The deafening crack of thunder sounded as though it meant to cleave the very planet in half.

Frieza frowned. He sensed something was deeply wrong.

The energy wavelengths in the atmosphere were undergoing an incredibly bizarre, erratic mutation. He turned his gaze toward the rubble.

Goku had stood up.

His head was bowed low, obscuring his face. His arms hung limply at his sides. Yet, the air around him was warping violently. A low, vibrating hum resonated from his body, like an active volcano on the verge of catastrophic eruption.

A golden aura began to violently flicker through his dark, spiky hair, flashing in and out of existence. With every flicker, the ground quaked heavily.

The surrounding debris defied the laws of gravity, slowly levitating into the air before being ground into fine powder by the sheer, invisible pressure of his aura.

Goku kept his head bowed, a low, feral growl tearing from his throat.

"Krillin..."

The blood of the warrior race was boiling.

Amidst the apocalyptic storms of Planet Namek, a true deity was about to descend.

Goku stood amidst the ruins. Lightning danced frantically in the clouds above. The golden aura erupted from beneath his feet. The levitating rocks were instantly reduced to dust by the crushing pressure of his Ki.

His jet-black hair began to shift color, flickering frantically between black and brilliant gold. His musculature was undergoing an incredibly violent, biological restructuring. His bones ground together with an agonizing, screeching friction.

This was an evolution that completely transcended common sense.

Frieza hovered in mid-air, staring down at Goku’s mutating form. A brief flash of astonishment crossed his eyes. He could feel the anomaly in the energy wavelengths. This Ki wasn’t just impossibly vast; it was saturated with an incredibly pure, concentrated rage.

Far away at the edge of the magma lake, Akainu struggled to his feet. His Justice coat had long been reduced to ash, stripping away all the dignity of an Admiral. He vomited a mouthful of black, organ-laced blood, leaning heavily on the fractured blade of Zanka no Tachi to stay upright.

He turned his head, locking eyes on the distant figure undergoing the explosive transformation. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

"What a joke," Akainu cursed viciously. "This guy can still power up?"

He was a dignified Admiral of Marine Headquarters. Just to block that red energy sphere, he had nearly thrown his life away. He had pushed the Mag-Mag Fruit to its absolute limit, and even Zanka no Tachi—his ultimate weapon from the Bleach dungeon—was on the verge of shattering. And yet, he had only barely managed to survive.

But this native named Son Goku... he had been beaten half to death moments ago. Now, he was not only standing back up, but his Ki was over ten times stronger than before.

Akainu felt his worldview completely collapsing. Just what kind of cursed dungeon was this? The combat scaling of these natives defied every basic law of reality.

In a deep crater not far from the Admiral, Kaido had reverted to his human form. He lay sprawled on his back, his prized Azure Dragon scales mostly burnt away. The immense recovery power of his Rayquaza template was running dry.

Gasping heavily, Kaido heard Akainu’s cursing. He rolled his eyes toward the distant Goku. The blinding golden light was almost searing his retinas.

"Damn it," Kaido swore aloud. "Is there no end to this kid?"

He, the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates, a top-tier Yonko powerhouse, and Security Guard No. 007 of Partys Bar, was actually being used as a punching bag in some otherworld dungeon. He had genuinely thought that teaming up with Akainu and this native Saiyan would at least allow them to fight the White-Skinned Runt to a standstill.

Instead, Frieza had wiped the floor with them using a single finger.

And now? Frieza was still here, and the native was undergoing a secondary mutation. Kaido felt incredibly stifled. He had spent a fortune on dungeon tickets just to come here and get beaten up while watching someone else show off?

"Hey, Akainu," Kaido spat out a wad of bloody saliva, not forgetting to mock his rival. "Don’t you Marines always brag that Justice always prevails? Why don’t you march up there and slice that White-Skinned Runt in half?"

Akainu snorted coldly. "Shut your mouth, pirate. Your precious dragon hide was just skinned alive. You have no right to make sarcastic remarks."

Despite trading insults, neither man took their eyes off Goku. They knew perfectly well that if this native couldn’t win, none of them were leaving Namek alive today.

Even further away, Doflamingo was huddled in a narrow crevice behind some rocks. He had used his String-String Fruit to hastily suture his wounds. His iconic pink feathered mantle was in tatters, and his sunglasses were cracked in half. He lay flat against the dirt, not even daring to breathe too loudly.

Watching the golden light in the distance, Doflamingo felt a deep wave of regret. He had thought he could make a killing in this dungeon and claim god-tier rewards to conquer the seas. Instead, he had been a punching bag from the start. First beaten by the Saiyan, then pinned to the dirt by Frieza’s mere presence. Now, the native was growing even stronger.

His only goal now was to survive. Just lay low until the dungeon ended.

On another side of the battlefield, Vegeta roused from his unconsciousness. The majority of his bones were broken. He could barely pry his eyes open, immediately sensing the world-shaking Ki resonating through the planet.

Vegeta painfully turned his head and saw Goku standing at the epicenter of the storm. The golden hair. The emerald-green eyes. That violently erupting golden aura.

Vegeta’s pupils contracted sharply. His heart hammered wildly against his ribs. An ancient, dusty legend from the royal history of the Saiyan race suddenly exploded in his mind.

"Impossible... that’s absolutely impossible..." Vegeta muttered, his voice trembling with sheer shock. "That’s the legendary warrior... the Super Saiyan that only appears once every thousand years!"

Tears streamed uncontrollably down his face. He didn’t know if he was crying from excitement or intense jealousy. He was the Prince of all Saiyans, possessing the noblest bloodline. He had always believed that he was the legendary warrior.

But now... a Low-Class Warrior raised on Earth had actually transformed into the Super Saiyan right before his eyes. His pride was utterly pulverized.

Yet, amidst the shattered remains of his ego, a frantic, desperate hope ignited. If he was the Super Saiyan... if he really was the strongest warrior in legend... maybe he could actually defeat Frieza and avenge their slaughtered race.

Goku’s transformation was finally complete. The golden aura stabilized around him in a blazing, constant flare.

He slowly raised his head. Those originally clear, black eyes were now a chilling, piercing shade of emerald green. They were completely devoid of emotion, harboring nothing but the purest, most concentrated killing intent.

Frieza looked down at Goku and suddenly burst into laughter.

"You just changed your hair color. Did you really think that would be enough to defeat me?"

Frieza extended his right hand, crimson light flaring brightly at his fingertips.

"Death Beam."

Ten consecutive red beams fired in an instant, each carrying enough concentrated power to pierce through a planet. They shot toward Goku at speeds surpassing light itself.

Goku didn’t dodge. He didn’t even raise his hands to defend himself.

The red beams struck him dead-on.

Boom! A massive series of explosions engulfed Goku, sending a towering pillar of smoke and debris into the air.

Frieza laughed triumphantly. "What a pathetic bluff. You couldn’t even take a single attack."

But his laughter choked in his throat. As the smoke cleared, Goku was still standing in the exact same spot. He hadn’t retreated a single millimeter. The golden aura had completely deflected every single beam. Not a single scratch marred his skin; even the frayed edges of his trousers were untouched.

Frieza’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "How is this possible?"
