Chapter 1054: Chapter 1052: Purpose and Progress (Part 2)

In that moment, Igor was awakened by the words of the Great Mentor; he suddenly realized how selfish he had been.

The enemy was hidden in the shadows, and they had few leads. Even his discoveries could only slightly illuminate the enemy’s mystery, yet these small revelations couldn’t lift the veil of the enemy, leaving everything unknown. Many people had disappeared while seeking the unknown enemy, and some had even lost their lives. Igor lamented that he hadn’t considered these people, being preoccupied with his own feelings.

Though Kadi wasn’t the enemy, he wasn’t one of them either. On this point, everyone would naturally suspect Kadi...

"What are you all talking about?" Kadi asked in confusion. He had no idea about the Agent of Destruction, and Igor never planned to tell him about it.

After Igor came to Guru Mountain for the second time, he naturally told the Great Mentor about many of his experiences, including matters regarding Kadi. However, they didn’t tell Kadi immediately. One reason was that Kadi was undergoing special training under Kevin’s guidance; another was that they thought it might be better to delay telling him about such matters.

But what needed to be known must eventually be revealed; one cannot hide the truth just because of their own feelings.

Igor glanced at the Great Mentor and then at the Sol Brothers; he was uncertain about what to do now.

"Why aren’t you saying anything?" Kadi said worriedly from the side.

"Little one, why are you so eager? Are you so quick to offer your strength?" Kevin said, breaking the silence. He knew Kadi the best, so he didn’t have Igor’s concerns. He had intended to tell Kadi about the Agent of Destruction early on, but remained silent due to the Great Mentor’s consideration. Now he felt it was time for the matter to be revealed.

Kevin’s words made everyone laugh, lightening the mood instantly.

Only Kadi looked around cluelessly, not understanding what everyone was up to.

"Kadi, if you knew where you came from, what would you do?" asked Igor, as he felt it was a question he cared about the most.

"I wouldn’t do anything!" Kadi replied straightforwardly.

Hahahaha, Kevin laughed even more exaggeratedly beside him, clearly satisfied—not just satisfied, he was ecstatic as he had expected this answer from Kadi all along.

Igor was bewildered by Kadi’s answer. What does ’not do anything’ mean?

Kadi clearly noticed Igor’s confusion: "Even though I’ve always wanted to know where I came from, I wouldn’t return there even if I knew. Because my home is here, I just want to know why I am different from everyone else."

Obviously, Kadi’s words came from the heart; the reason he wanted to know why he was different was because he wanted to better integrate with everyone; he wanted to be a part of this place.

"Igor, you can relax now, right?" Kevin patted Igor on the back forcefully, feeling quite proud inside.

"I..." Igor didn’t know what to say. Clearly, he didn’t understand Kadi as well as Kevin, who had watched Kadi grow up.

"All these days I’ve been pondering if what I did was right," the Great Mentor began to talk to himself, "Now I realize, our previous concealment was wrong; Kadi had the right to know this matter. We shouldn’t have hidden it; he has the right to make his own choices."

"The Great Mentor is right, everyone has their own choices, and no matter the path, we have known each other," Tobin Sol said, taking over the Great Mentor’s words.

"So Kadi, just listen quietly!" the Great Mentor gestured toward Kadi.

"Alright, let me tell Kadi then. I didn’t handle this well either," Igor scratched his head, feeling he should step forward.

"What are you trying to express, making it so mysterious?"

"It’s a long story but you need to listen through," Igor said.

"Stop blabbering!" Kadi was a bit impatient; Igor suddenly becoming talkative was quite irritating.

"Er..." Igor suddenly didn’t know how to articulate his thoughts.

"Can you sense this, Kadi?" At this moment, Tobin Sol suddenly opened his palm, a bolt of lightning danced incessantly within it.

"This is just lightning!" Kadi said dismissively, seeing nothing unusual.

"And can you sense it?" Sol continued asking.

"What do you mean?" Kadi was puzzled.

"In the process of capturing the lightning, I can sense you, Kadi!" Sol said truthfully, "It’s not just you, but also Guru Mountain!"

"Hm?" Kadi was quite surprised, "Do you mean to say you saw me through this lightning or something?"

"Yes, during the capture of lightning, the Lightning Spirit was right in front of me. They told me that you came to this world in the same way, and the entrance to this world is Guru Mountain!"

"What does that have to do with me?" Kadi was confused, as Sol’s words seemed to skirt around the main point.

"The Lightning Spirit said you come from the same world they do, you were transported here as a single individual!"

"I don’t understand." Kadi shook his head, much like a rattle.

"That world is the Spirit World, Kadi; now you should understand why it’s so easy for you to sense Spirit Power!" Kevin added; the Spirit World was now completely revealed to the Adventurers with Class, overturning many theories from the scholars.

"You mean I came from that Spirit World."

"Yes, Kadi, and you have another name called the Agent of Destruction!" Igor finally said those words, feeling a sudden unprecedented relief inside.

"Agent of Destruction?" Kadi was also quite curious about the name.

"Hahaha, which means you were sent to destroy us, Kadi," Kevin played the role of translator, simplifying Igor and others’ profound words.

"This..." Kadi scratched his head, "Are you joking with me?"

"No, no, I experienced it firsthand in the Border Realm because of the lingering Spirit Power you left on me, that bastard mistook me for you!" Igor hastily explained.

"Hm?" Kadi turned to Igor, "Is this true, did the Soul Devourer Master in the Border Realm really think so?"
