Chapter 1053: Chapter 1051: Purpose and Progress (Part 1)
"No, without the Great Mentor, Dastan wouldn’t resolve his heart’s knot. My understanding of the Sol people far surpasses that of the Great Mentor," Tobin Sol said. At this moment, he looked as if Dastan’s soul had possessed him, making anyone feel as if they were seeing Dastan on Guru Mountain in his prime.
"Your arrival makes me miss Dastan even more." The Great Mentor couldn’t help himself this time; indeed, there was a resemblance to Dastan. Even though Dastan looked like a big rabbit, the aura and feeling from the two Sol brothers was indistinguishable from Dastan’s.
Under the night sky, the arrival of an unexpected guest made people reminisce about old friends. Former companions, now lost. Everyone sighed deeply, their feelings for Dastan profound.
"Dastan was captured by Kuyi Tulan while trying to protect this place. This is Dastan’s second home. If one day I can bring back Dastan’s relics, I will certainly return them here." The Sol Brothers vowed under the night sky; it was their decision, a way to commemorate Dastan.
Through their conversation with Igor, the Sol Brothers realized that the only thing left of Dastan was the Spirit Core, which contained Dastan’s power, an elusive power. However, such power couldn’t accompany Dastan to the Eternal Tranquility Realm; it could only be used by Kuyi Tulan’s Alchemy Workshop, which was intolerable. The time wasn’t ripe; the Sol Brothers couldn’t reclaim Dastan’s Spirit Core from Kuyi Tulan, especially since they now shared a common enemy. Moreover, the Alchemy Workshop had collaboration with Luona.
Though Black Crow’s influence was diminishing, its core strength showed no signs of weakening. Even with the joint attack of the Dark Cabinet and the Alchemy Workshop, Black Crow’s leader Willem hadn’t shown any movement, and the purpose of their newfound power remained unknown.
Everything was shrouded in uncertainty, further fueled by rampant rumors. All over the world, organizations large and small began eyeing this power, making the world of Adventurers with Class a chaotic mess.
The people on Guru Mountain were deep in thought over the Sol Brothers’ words. They all wanted to avenge Dastan, but they couldn’t act recklessly now. Although Kuyi Tulan took Dastan away, he hadn’t reached the level of utter villainy. Furthermore, that guy was the Great Mentor’s pupil. No one would go after Kuyi Tulan recklessly, since the Alchemy Workshop and the Empire still needed this young chief. Everyone agreed with the Great Mentor that this genius chief had merely made a wrong choice, and once he realized his mistakes, everything would take a turn for the better.
As the night descended like water, everyone reflected deeply.
The Sol Brothers’ arrival added a sense of urgency to the evening, as if telling the creatures of Guru Mountain that the outside world was undergoing earth-shattering changes.
"The main reason for your visit here is for Dastan, right?" Grand Master Guzan continued, feeling a sense of regret towards the Sol Brothers for not taking better care of Dastan, leading the brothers to reminisce here.
"Partly, yes, but not entirely for that reason. Thanking the Great Mentor is significant; discussing future matters is what’s paramount!" Tobin Sol replied.
Igor pondered the meaning of future matters, finding it strange.
"The situation’s urgent; our youngsters here haven’t stopped for a moment. Today’s gathering to welcome you was the first time we’ve come together to eat and drink," Kevin replied to the Sol Brothers, implying they weren’t idle on Guru Mountain.
"This is Kadi!" Tobin Sol smiled at Kevin, then turned his attention to Kadi.
Having spent considerable time in the Border Realm, Tobin Sol was naturally intrigued by Kadi’s identity. Nevertheless, he trusted Igor’s judgment, convinced that Kadi wasn’t a villain. Still, Kadi surely held clues to understanding hidden enemies.
"Yes, he is Kadi," Igor answered Tobin directly.
Kadi looked at Sol, puzzled by why everyone’s gaze focused on him. Did he have a missing nose or eye? Oh, compared to others, he was missing an eye... but his eye was larger and more aesthetically pleasing!
"Kadi, hello, I’m Tobin Sol, a friend of Igor and Stan’s brother."
"I know you; Igor mentioned you before. Although we seldom met during training sessions, I’m aware of your formidable presence in the Border Realm. Leading the Resistors wasn’t just an empty title!" Kadi quickly flattered Sol, hoping it would shift everyone’s attention to Sol, as he was embarrassed by the intense focus on him.
"Did you come here just to see Kadi, to find out what’s special about him?" Igor’s words carried a tone of displeasure, suggesting he suspected Sol and the others had ulterior motives.
"Oh, Igor, calm down," Stan Sol quickly intervened. Indeed, they wanted to see if Kadi held any secrets, but it wasn’t as Igor imagined.
"You realize your actions show a lack of trust in me!" Igor ignored Stan Sol, articulating his feelings bluntly.
"We trust you, Igor!" Tobin Sol insisted.
"Trust me? Why then act this way? Kadi is one of us; he shouldn’t be under your scrutiny!" Igor remained irate, unfazed by Tobin Sol’s words.
"We leave no detail unexplored when assessing enemies," Tobin Sol asserted calmly.
"Kadi is not the enemy!" Igor nearly roared.
"Nor are we," Tobin Sol maintained composure in the face of Igor’s outburst.
"Is this the Lord Governor’s command?" Igor pressed on, unwilling to let the issue rest.
"Igor!" the Great Mentor finally spoke.
"Hmm? Great Mentor..." Seeing the Great Mentor’s imposing demeanor, Igor slowly restrained his temper.
"Sol is right; we can’t dismiss any detail that might reveal enemy insights. Kadi, who grew under our watchful eyes, isn’t the enemy. However, he can provide information that prevents needless sacrifices," the Great Mentor explained.
Igor lowered his head...
