Chapter 502: Plans To Become A Scavenger.
It was already a week since Sebastian’s Leviathon body departed.
Sebastian departed from the Raging Fire military base with 1 main motivation pushing him on which was the urge to join the war by all means as it would serve as the perfect platform for him to grow stronger faster.
In the end, the ultimate reason why Sebastian decided to join the war was to level up faster, increase his origin law comprehension faster, and get to the peak of the purple tier realm as fast as possible.
Fulfilling these goals was the only way for him to draw closer to his real goal of becoming the Ocean Master, and he was determined to fulfill them.
Because the more he evolved, the harder it was to level up, Sebastian was under a lot more pressure to level up faster.
The main advantage that he had was his strength.
While most purple tier predators could only think of leveling up mostly through weaker tiered predators, and occasionally through same-tiered predators, Sebastian had the qualifications to set his sights higher.
His sights despite being a purple tier predator were set on Red tier predators. His goals exhibited extreme arrogance, but it was normal for a Leviathon to be arrogant, they had the qualifications to be so and survive it in Oceania.
Sebastian started his journey in the Dungeon of Souls without having a specific direction in mind, he was led entirely by his intuition and experience.
From his knowledge and experience, Sebastian knew that the most resource-filled and rich parts of any Great Sea were concentrated at the center, and the same rule applied to the Dungeon of Souls.
The Necromancy Empire of the Necromancy King was located at the very center of the Dungeon of Souls, and this was the heart of the war.
This was where the main invasion forces of the Killer Whales attacked. Their best warships and their best predators were all concentrated here.
The war was not yet at its peak, but the effects were already tremendous.
The Killer Whales decided to attack 3 Great Seas at the same time for a reason. The motivation for the war was not entirely because of the magic domain of one of their leaders having an affinity with this Great Sea, it was to prove a point.
The Killer Whales wanted all of Oceania to see the current strength of their Empire, they wanted the whole world to know that they were now qualified to be the overlords of a Great Sea.
The Killer Whales could have decided to send all their war forces to the center of the Dungeon of Souls where they would fight a decisive battle against the Necromancy Empire but they didn’t do this.
The Killer Whale Empire was strong, but so also was the Necromancy Empire which had lorded over this Great Sea for centuries already.
The Killer Whales did not dare to underestimate their opponents, they had more confidence in emerging victorious if they fought a slow attrition war.
To the 2 Empires, the effects of a slow attrition war were not that much different from an all-out war but it was the commoner beasts who truly felt it.
This battle of attrition already plunged millions of mutated beasts into a never-ending circle of creation and destruction.
In this 1 week, as Sebastian traveled into the wilder parts of the Dungeon of Souls, he was able to get a good overall outlook about this Great Sea.
The war between these 2 massive Empires was so gigantic that every single other power in the Dungeon of Souls had no choice but to be drawn in also.
These other powers didn’t just include the various rural settlements that were in the Great Sea but the lesser Empires also.
A war involving multiple Beast and variant human Empires was no easy endeavor, and the outcome was the damage to the origin essence of the Great Sea.
For every power in the Dungeon of Souls that was not an Empire, alone, their chances of being annihilated were higher than 1% which was frightening.
During the 1 week of travel, Sebastian was a witness as numerous rural settlements were annihilated by the tyrannical hooves of more powerful beasts.
With the damage to the origin essence of the Great Sea, the augments of nature brought by it also died.
Natural magical resources became rarer, the chaos attribute of the origin essence affected predators in various ways, and all this only served to fan the flames of the conflict between the different beast groups.
In this chaotic sea, Sebastian found it hard to adapt at first but with time, he slowly learned the way of chaos and easily blended with the other beasts.
Leviathons were such tenacious beasts that they could literally adapt to anything in Oceania. Once Sebastian adapted, his rampage started.
He did not hold back, since one of his goals was to level up, he did his best to fulfill it as he started killing beasts rampantly.
Sebastian no longer looked at orange tier predators, his common targets were purple tier predators and his more daring targets were Red tier predators.
In the end, due to the occasional interference from other beasts, while he battled, he failed to kill any Red tier predators but he already killed a sizeable amount of purple tier predators which enabled him to level up twice.
The deeper Sebastian went though, the harder it became for him to kill as most of the predators here hunted in groups.
In danger, there were opportunities. Despite all the dangers that were associated with the ongoing war, the mighty Killer Whale Empire and the Necromancy Empire suffered causalities and losses every day.
The weaker predators could only look longingly at the scrap warships and technological devices abandoned by these 2 Empires daily, while the powerful predators took their fate into their own hands and started salvaging.
Most high-grade rural settlements and lesser Empires embraced the idea as they started creating rogue scavenger armies to participate in the great salvage.
Since they were already guaranteed to suffer splashing damage from the great war, then nothing prevented them from deciding to benefit from it also.
The main scavenging battlegrounds were closer to the center of the Dungeon of Souls. These battlegrounds had every type of variant human and beast group there as they tried their luck to try benefiting from the war.
One of these scavenging battlegrounds, the Blood Wreckage was Sebastian’s destination. He figured this to be the perfect leveling ground for his ultimate war vessel, and that was all that he needed to go with his plan.
In the Blood Wreckage, apart from taking advantage of the numerous beasts present to level up and fulfill his goal, he also had the ambition to be a scavenger.
One of the priorities in Sebastian’s book was to accelerate the growth of his army, and this wreckage had a lot of ways to make this a reality.
The Blood Wreckage was going to be his playground for the nearest future.
Before going there though, Sebastian had another plan. To make the best use of his time in the Blood Wreckage and maximize his benefits, he needed helpers, and he already had the perfect candidates in mind.
His targets were called the Dirans, a variant human race.
