Chapter 500: Joining The War!
Queen Heareth was the first to be slashed from Sebastian’s help book.
The legendary Veiled Healer was a powerful, well-known, and well-connected beast. Sebastian believed that under her care, Queen Heareth would be safe no matter how turbulent Oceania becomes in the near future.
How high she could rise in the hierarchy of the Veiled Healer’s clique now completely relied on the Queen. Her efforts would determine her gains.
Sebastian believed that Queen Heareth could succeed. Every purple tier predator had willpower that was stronger than every predator that was below the purple tier, but this was not the only boost that Queen Heareth had.
Queen Heareth’s life so far was one that was filled with rollercoasters.
She started her life as a relatively normal Great White Shark with not many exceptional traits. She was seen as your normal everyday average Great White Shark, but her elder’s perception of her changed after she got her magic domain.
Queen Heareth did not start her life in Old Mak’s clan, she started in a pilgrim Great White Shark group that constantly moved from one place to the other.
During one of their pilgrimages, they got stuck in the ocean volcano region. Here, they encountered one danger after the other until they all died, except Heareth. She was left alone to survive the perils of the volcano.
She suffered daily, both physically and psychologically, and in this stimulating condition, her abilities grew faster than ever before.
After she became an orange tier predator, she developed confidence and finally started a journey to search for other Great White Sharks but it was during one of these journeys that she encountered a near-death situation.
She was almost swallowed by the purple tier Devouring Snake before her prince in charming armor swam along, Old Mak.
Then, Old Mak was still a vigorous Great White Shark enjoying the joy of his youth. He saw the disaster and dived in, fighting a great battle, eliminating the Devouring Snake and saving the vulnerable Heareth.
Heareth developed the strange feeling called love that day. Old Mak being a smart shark took his chance and took Heareth into his growing harem.
After entering Old Mak’s clan, Heareth’s life changed for the better. She seemed to have entered the prime of her life, she became a queen, she became a purple tier predator, good things kept on happening in her life, and she was happy.
This was until the Sea King Inheritance. This encounter changed her life forever, Old Mak, her King, and a lot of others, most especially the elders that she was close with all died, and her life turned dark again.
The time of struggling came again. Despite the pain and suffering, she fought hard, motivated by the need to protect the young Great White Sharks that Old Mak sacrificed his life to protect.
She persevered through the struggling time and the Firelight Shark Clan was created. Her life finally seemed to start turning around again but this didn’t last long, the Orca Revolution started which brought a greater tragedy.
On the day that she thought she would finally leave the face of Oceania, help came again from someone she did not expect, Sebastian.
Sebastian changed her life including all of the Great White Sharks who survived the Orca rampage as they were escorted to the 1st Den of Anatomy.
From then on, she finally relaxed enough to drop the heavy load burdening her shoulders as Sebastian took a significant amount of this load.
Sebastian in the end did more than she expected, not only did he save the clan once, he changed the history of the clan as through his influence and help, the Firelight Shark Clan became the 1st sub-clan of the Great White Kingdom.
All the privileges that the clan currently enjoyed in their new region were mostly because of Sebastian, this was how important he was to them.
Though she was happy with it, she still felt forlorn as she hoped to do more. She longed to do more for the legacy that Old Mak left after his death.
In the end, she was not talented enough, she didn’t have enough knowledge so she became resigned to her fate. When she least expected a miracle though, Sebastian came again with the miracle that she badly craved.
Now, she was the student of a legendary Red tier healer. Queen Heareth could hardly believe her fortune; her life was indeed a huge rollercoaster.
Despite all the sufferings, despite all the tragedies, the fact that in some way life found a way for her to move on gave her the confidence that she needed to succeed under the tutelage of the legendary Veiled Healer.
There would definitely be challenges, but having been molded from the challenges of her relatively long life, she believed that she would overcome them all and come out victorious.
This was the reason why Sebastian also believed in her.
Apart from Queen Heareth, Sebastian also had other prime candidates in mind to help grow strong like Strong, Big Group, Tosh, Verni, and some other beasts that had special places in his heart.
Sebastian was now a cold-blooded predator, but the more he killed, the more he saw the importance of keeping his sanity.
He discovered that having friends and beasts that he cared for was a great way to keep his sanity which was one of the main motivations why he did all these.
After dropping Queen Heareth in the Fairy-Demon Rapids with her teacher, Sebastian didn’t go back to the Raging Fire military base. His senior simply sent Strong back as the both of them swam away.
After delaying it for Queen Heareth’s interview, now was the time that Trinidad saw as fit to start his immersion into the world of the Nature Tree’s leaf.
During the past day, while he helped Sebastian, he kept on calming and clearing his mind of all distractions all in preparation for this opportunity.
Now, he felt that he was ready.
Sebastian escorted his senior to the center of the Nightmare Forest where the Nightmare Tree stood and where the Thresher Whales lived, Big Daddy was already waiting for them.
"Are you ready?" Big Daddy asked solemnly once they arrived.
"Yes, I’m ready".
"Then, follow me".
The 2 mighty Leviathons followed the massive Thresher Whale as he led them back to the corner of the Nightmare Tree where he hid the Nature Leaf.
This time, once Trinidad basked in his presence, perhaps it was because of how much he had been thinking about it for the past day but he felt the leaf pulsate for a brief moment which resonated with him.
Trinidad felt dread for this moment, this was the moment of truth, it was now or never but this did not do enough to make him cower from the challenge.
This was like a race; all the athletes would give their all to win the race but, in the end, there would be only one winner. At this moment, he was an athlete about to enter the sacred race of Black tier evolution, nothing was certain.
Trinidad turned to face Sebastian. "Young Sebastian".
"Yes Master". For the first time, Sebastian referred to his senior as master. Trinidad already did so much for him that he earned receiving this title.
On hearing that, Trinidad smiled. "I have done the best that I can for you, the rest is completely on your hands, make the best use of your talent and fulfill your potential, I’m about the enter the race to fulfill mine".
Trinidad finally swam closer to the leaf but just a few inches away from it, he stopped. "Wish me luck".
"Master, I wish you the best of luck". At this moment, Sebastian felt emotional. "Will I ever see you again?"
"Yes, silly, I’ll just be off the radar for some time".
"Sebastian, do me a favor, before I wake up, take the Dungeon of Souls by storm". With that, Trinidad finally swam beside the leaf and closed his eyes.
Instantly, Trinidad was dragged into a deep slumber.
"Do not disturb him". Big Daddy whispered the next moment before dragging Sebastian away from this part of the Nightmare Tree.
When they were alone, Big Daddy spoke with him. "Take this, Trinidad said I should give it to you".
Sebastian looked only to see a red-colored crown like those of a cock. "What is this?"
"It is the crown of achievement of Leviathons, this is Trinidad’s crown".
"By getting to the peak of the purple tier realm, you’ll grow one, and you’ll grow another by getting to the peak of the Red tier realm".
"Trinidad decided to give you one to aid you in your journey to join the war".
"As a purple tier predator, you can only access its purple tier powers and it grants you roughly a 20% increase to your overall power".
"..." Now, Sebastian was speechless.
Even when facing the most impactful moment of his life, his master still thought of him. He took the crown solemnly and wore it on his head as the crown clicked in perfectly like it was made just for him.
"Thank you, master, I will remember your goodwill forever". Sebastian whispered into the empty water before turning to swim away.
"Goodbye, Ocean Master".
Sebastian only chuckled on hearing that. After all that he already revealed, he was not surprised to know that Big Daddy and his master already knew his real identity, he never planned to hide it, he was about to take the world by storm.
That day, Sebastian left to join the war.
