Chapter 488: 5 Battle Tests!
Without even needing to thoroughly look at the blood pool with his combined super sensing, Sebastian knew that it was special as a strange power awakened inside it after the Toad dived back inside it.
It was like, after staying dormant in hibernation for a long time, the blood pool finally surged back to life in an eerie and horrifying manner.
Despite this, Sebastian decided to go after the Toad.
He did this because of the arrogance that was in his head at the moment. While completing the swimming test, Sebastian felt on top of the world, but now, Sebastian felt like he was stamping on the world.

He swam with such speed that the Toad could barely blink before the massive Leviathon that dwarfed him arrived beside his blood pool.
The Toad was shocked and he panicked for a moment but he recovered the next as he finally activated the full power of his blood pool magic gadget.
"Blood Pool: Defense of Blood!"
Bam!
Even with activating his rupturing sonic ram skill, and with the incredible momentum that he gathered with his speed, the blood-red shield erected by the blood pool at the last second revealed no crack after the collision.
Sebastian was instead the one who bounced away like a rag doll as he felt the shock of the collision tearing through his body.
[You have suffered crippling shockwave damage!]
Sebastian coughed out blood as some of his organs were torn apart.
Before he could recover to focus on finding the Toad who already submerged back inside his blood pool, the Toad made use of his blood pool magic gadget again and it became clear in no time that the Toad was ready to use this forever.
"Blood Pool Attack: Blood Hail!"
"Blood Pool Attack: Blood Storm!"
Whoosh!
Sebastian could not react on time before he was swept by the blood storm which seemed to hide thousands of lethal weapons inside it.
His body was cut in different places as blood flowed out of his body like a river, the blood pool greedily drank his blood as it poured out.
In no time, Sebastian seemed to have become a sieve from all the cut attacks as the blood hail attack finally descended in the form of blood bullets.
Pu! Pu! Pu! Pu!
Sebastian felt like he was trapped in a rain, but instead of the normal rain, it was a lethal rain which every drop of water dealt damage like that of a bullet to him which was a horrifying scenario to face.
In no time, Sebastian went from the offensive to the defensive. The blood pool magic gadget was too full-proof, Sebastian found no loopholes to exploit.
The defense and attack of the magic gadget were exquisite, leaving no opportunity for him to resurge and go back on the offensive.
In no time, Sebastian’s horrifying health was chipped so much that it fell below 20%. During this time, Sebastian tried different techniques apart from using his unique skills or integrating with Goldie but none of them worked.
Another 2 minutes later, he was beaten to the point of death.
"Senior Trinidad". Sebastian whispered slightly but no one answered for a few minutes, he seemed to have been abandoned.
The silence continued as he was beaten to a point of death before a voice reverberated in his head. Only the advantage of his tyrannical healing skill, his HP recovery speed, and his Undying Zombie passive skill kept him alive.
Bzzz!
The next moment, Sebastian felt like his consciousness was pulled out of his body and he found himself in a white world alone with his senior the next moment.
Trinidad asked a question as soon as Sebastian saw him.
"Sebastian, what is the use of the arrogant belief that I emphasized?"
"The use of the arrogant belief used in the right way is harness it to get strength and willpower".
"Good, arrogance makes you super confident in yourself. This is a good trait of a Leviathon, but to fully make use of its power, we need to learn another trait to counter and balance it".
"The elders said that too much of everything is bad, even for arrogance".
"It is good to channel arrogance to get strength and willpower, but to really get the most use out of it, you need another trait, temperance".
"No matter how arrogant you become, you will never, I repeat, you will never acquire the strength as a purple tier predator to fight a Black tier predator, this is why there is a need for temperance".
"When you meet situations that arrogance alone cannot solve, you add temperance to the mix and change the nature of your arrogance".
"It takes arrogance for a proud Space Beast predator to escape from an opponent. It is not shamelessness, it is Leviathon arrogance!"
"Remember this lesson, it will save your life".
"When the going gets too tough, become arrogant and escape".
"Also, remember that Leviathons never hesitate, it’s either yes or no".

The next moment, Sebastian’s consciousness came back to his body.
[Warning! Your health points have gone below 10%!]
Immediately after he saw this, like an enlightened sage, Sebastian reacted instantly without any hesitation. His reply in this situation was no and nothing else, he was going to be even more arrogant and escape.

The Toad was flabbergasted!
Having been preoccupied with fighting the Leviathon and feeling his will to fight tangibly, the Toad never expected him to suddenly escape. The Toad was so caught off guard that he could only look, shocked as Sebastian escaped.
In no time, Sebastian escaped out of the hole.
The Toad was still shocked. "What in the bloody hell just happened?"

After escaping out of the hole, Sebastian swam far away to a location where he stopped to rest and recuperate from his injuries.
While recuperating, he thought back on his lessons so far.
It was after he started it that Sebastian really knew that this was a legit lecture. Most of the ideas seemed nonsensical, like escaping being an expression of arrogance, but once he did them, he understood the context behind them.
The Leviathon elders made these lessons to teach their generations faster how to adapt to life and make full use of their body and bloodline’s potential.
Sebastian completely agreed with all their thought processes as the more he followed them, the more he tapped into the hidden strength of his ultimate war vessel that he never knew was even there.
This was no time to rest though, once Sebastian finished recuperating and healing, he was transported away again without his consent.

This time, Sebastian was teleported into a vacant expanse of water where a lot of Blue Tang fish was swimming leisurely.
A school of Blue Tang fish swimming leisurely was not a rare sight, but through his senses, Sebastian discovered the anomaly here.
Hiding amid the Blue Tang fish was a rare predator that Sebastian had never seen before. This predator managed to divide his body into different fragments to hide among the Blue Tang fish.
It was only after Sebastian discovered her that she materialized in full. This beast was a gigantic version of an Ameoba, Sebastian was bamboozled by the sight.
A massive fight erupted immediately as Sebastian once again fought with another Red tier predator. The mode of fighting that was utilized by the Ameoba was so peculiar that Sebastian was trashed from beginning to end.
The Ameoba was stronger than the Toad and not by a small margin.
Once again, he lost but he was able to escape.
After escaping from the Ameoba and recuperating, he was teleported 2 times again as he fought subsequently with a Red tier King Cobra and a Red tier Death Dragon.
Against the King Cobra, Sebastian put on an admirable fight but still lost. The same for the Death Dragon too but he still lost again.
Despite all 4 losses, Sebastian was as motivated as ever as he could notice himself improving tangibly each time.
At this moment, he felt that he could use 90% of his body’s overall strength already. After the 4th battle lesson though came the 5th which was the last.
This was Sebastian’s last chance to try and prove himself as a Leviathon.

He was teleported away again.
