The deadly rows of teeth that formed the lineup of the strange fish’s oversized jaws kept on clapping together in an intimidating manner as they pursued their prey like there was no tomorrow.
The Thresher Shark put up an admirable struggle, fighting back hard and killing a lot of them in the process, but the shark was but just one predator.
Against an uncountable of less strong predators, even a Black tier predator could die since he does not have unlimited mana and stamina.
Despite the casualties that they suffered, the fish were intelligent and they recognized their advantage of numbers which was why they persevered.
Each one of them that died now was a sacrifice for the feast that would soon be for those who survived, so none of them regretted their actions.
After fighting for so long, the Thresher Shark was tired. This predator felt indignant as his injuries kept on increasing at a speed faster than before.
It all started months ago when the Orca Revolution started.
Like usual, Thong lived harmoniously with his clan, living that same boring life of keeping their existence while engaging in small-scale hunts to feed the family and keep the bloodline alive.
As one of the few Mystery Pryer predators of his clan, he was protected and had a high status that kept him from doing most of the grunt work.
All that was needed from him was to eat, level up, train, and evolve. He fulfilled what was needed of him admirably as he became a purple-tier predator.
His life was set, all that he needed to do now was to get a beautiful Thresher Shark, settle down, and proliferate happily.
All these ambitions came to an abrupt end though after the Orca Revolution.
He heard that the invasion was in 3 Great Seas simultaneously, Thong didn’t know how it was in the other 2 Great Seas, but in here, it was hell!
One day, life was going on like normal but the next, teleportation portals were opening everywhere as numerous warships of the mighty Killer Whale Empire invaded with their full strength on display.
Despite how strong Thong’s clan was, they stood no chance before the full-scale invasion of the mighty Killer Whales, they were swept away by the storm.
Thong’s clan lasted only minutes before it was annihilated.
Seeing the destruction of their clan, their home, and their family, the few lucky Thresher Sharks like Thong who escaped were traumatized.
Being traumatized, they lost all confidence to avenge their family. The Orcas were so powerful that the mere thought of thinking of fighting against them was enough to send them into a concussion.
Devastated, Thong escaped with the few of his brothers that survived.
It was after escaping that they knew that their home Great Sea as they knew it was no longer the same. They were not the only ones affected; the Orca Revolution affected every single part of the Dungeon of Souls.
With thousands of clans being annihilated in just a few days, the Great Sea was thrown into chaos as every beast entered survival mode.
Thong and his brothers entered survival mode also as they sought to preserve their life. As powerful Thresher Sharks, they tried and survived for some time but with time, more and more of them died.
His brothers died and sacrificed so much, now he was the only survivor.
After all those near-death experiences, Thong was now a veteran survivor. Alone, he survived for almost 3 weeks which was admirable till one of his cave expeditions made him meet this group of Sabertooth Fish.
This group of fish due to the Orca Revolution holed themselves in this hole with no intention to come out.
Most of them died due to starvation, but they remained true to the plan of their clan head which was to eat only when a predator opportune into the cave.
After almost a week of starvation, these patient and tenacious fish finally found new prey. They didn’t give a damn that this was a purple tier Thresher Shark, they all pounced on Thong with such frightening ferocity that he was horrified.
Thong still didn’t know how he escaped from the cage.
Despite all the measures and tricks that he had up his sleeves, it took his all to escape the cave and with a lot of injuries following.
The Sabertooth fish did not relent though, they all went after him in pursuit.
Thong experienced the worst nightmare of his life. While in pain, while bleeding severely, he persevered as the need for survival kept him going.
During their great chase, they met 2 other chaotic battles that resulted in both sides suffering even more injuries and casualties. For over an hour, Thong escaped without the Sabertooth ever getting tired, now he was tired.
Thong did not feel much regret even when looking directly at death.
What mattered was that he gave his best to survive, he just felt a little regret for not being tenacious enough to survive, grow strong and avenge his clan.
"Even if I can’t avenge in this world, I’ll avenge in the next world".
Thong closed his eyes and accepted his death; he had already given up.
Ptui! Ptui!
The starving Sabertooth fish were ecstatic on seeing this as they ruthlessly sank their saber sharp teeth into the flesh of their prey.
They almost tore Thong apart till a powerful canon shot through them.
Boom!
The powerful cannon shot from the Annihilator warship tore through the group of Sabertooth fish like a hot knife cutting through butter.
The Sabertooth fish were confused, and so also did Thong who just opened his eyes again to see what exactly happened.
Despite looking and not seeing anything, the powerful canon shot left a deep impression on them. Neither of them wanted to face this powerful enemy in the dark, their survival instincts finally kicked in as they tried to run for their lives.
Unfortunately for them though, it was a little too late already.
Following Sebastian’s commands, all the warships came out of stealth at the same time as their primary gun ports were already aimed at the ravaging fish.
"Aim steady..., shoot!"
Tutututututu!
The Sabertooth fish stood no chance. Their sturdy scaled skin worked most of the time against small impact splashing damage, but the machine guns of Sebastian’s 12 warships were all state of the art and extremely lethal.
The positron beams, kinetic beams, and laser beams raked through the scaled skin of the Sabertooth fish with impunity.
They started dropping dead like manna dropping from heaven.
In just a few minutes, the Sebastian Warriors Army was already bringing about the annihilation of this beast clan.
Having not sustained a single attack from these new intruders, Thong as a clever survivor Thresher Shark already understood what was happening.
He felt sad, slightly relieved but he was also now panicking. He turned towards the direction of the Annihilation warship which already established itself as the strongest of the 12 and yelled.
"You have to leave now; it’ll soon get dangerous!"
Thong’s yells echoed in the direction of the warship.
"What is he saying?" Captain Omega asked the soldiers on his warship.
"He said we should leave that it’ll get dangerous".
"Dangerous?"
Boom!
They finally arrived!
Attracted by the sound of warship cannons and machine guns, the greedy opportunistic predators in the dark finally showed up for the goods.
Due to the muddy green covering the water and obstructing his senses, Sebastian was unable to detect the intruders before they came too close.
Before he could turn to face them and access their danger, he received a system notification that attracted his attention.
