Chapter 475: First Battle! [1]
"So, this is the Dungeon of Souls!"
Sebastian was awed and fascinated by what he saw.
The difference between the 2 Great Seas that he had been to were so glaring that he was speechless. Whereas the Green Mist Sea felt like a tame obedient dog, the Dungeon of Souls felt like a wild predatory dog.
From the primordial origin glow of the Dungeon of Souls to the tiniest of details, Sebastian confirmed that this was a wild Great Sea.
The cracks in the water sky, the leaking primordial origin essence that made the water feel muddy and obstructive to sight, and a lot of other tiny details portrayed this Great Sea as one that had gone through a significant number of wars.
This was not just being said in a past tense perspective since the Dungeon of Souls was perhaps witnessing the fiercest war of its long history.
Due to the leaking primordial origin essence, the muddy feel to the water that obstructed sight obstructed more than that.
This obstruction was so strong that it even obstructed Sebastian’s Combined Super Sensing a bit while scrambling most of the effects of the warship’s detectors.
They were just arriving at this Great Sea, but Sebastian and his subordinates already experienced so many things that gave them a vague idea of this new region.
All of them were filled with curiosity, observing everything that was before them casually till the lights erupting in the distance were suddenly followed by a loud explosion and a powerful shockwave.
BOOM!
The shockwave was powerful as the energy shields of the warships were rattled by its might. Instantly, the alarms of the warships rang.
Wom! Wom! Wom!
This shockwave and explosion were the wake-up call that the Sebastian Warriors Army needed to remember that they were currently in a hostile region.
They were in a Great Sea that was currently embroiled in a fierce war between 2 mighty Beast Empires, the Dungeon of Souls was not safe.
"Enter Defensive Formation!"
While giving orders to his soldiers, Sebastian already swam to the front of his army as he stood firm as the leader of the herd.
While Sebastian swam to the front of the army, all the warships moved as they entered the basic circular defensive formation of the army.
With the formation of the army, Sebastian implemented some basic military knowledge from his previous life like basic reactions to danger, formations, and strategies that the army would use to react in different scenarios.
At this moment, following Sebastian’s commands, the 12 warships entered the basic circular defense formation where they could react on time and defend against attacks from every direction.
Once they entered their defensive formation, the explosion sounded again followed by the familiar shockwave but they were ready this time.

Sebastian erected a shield so big that he was able to block the shockwave completely, and this act made him determine the strength of those that were currently battling to induce the shockwaves.
"Captain, lie low and maintain defensive formation".
"Wait for me!"

In no time, Sebastian’s skin turned into a dark gloomy green color as he blended into the surrounding water like a chameleon before swimming away straight in the direction of the ongoing battle.
It took just a few seconds before Sebastian swam close enough to the battlefield to observe what was going on.
In his camouflaged state, he was supposed to be invisible but once he arrived, one of the battling predators turned to look in his direction.
He saw nothing though.

This keen sense of danger displayed by the Thresher Shark attracted Sebastian’s attention immediately as he became a lot more curious about this battle and why it started.
Sebastian only needed to look for 5 seconds before he understood.
From what he could see, the Thresher Shark was the one on the receiving end of this attack. He was escaping while retaliating, and his enemies were a group of strange mutated fish that Sebastian didn’t know of before now.
These fish were shaped like a grouper fish but with a far more exaggeratedly big mouth. Their mouth almost made up 50% of their bodies which was terrifying, and their teeth were as long as sharp daggers.
As they pursued their prey, they kept on clapping their teeth together which never failed to make this spooky crackling sound.
At this moment, over 50 of these strange fish were after this lone Thresher Shark. Though a trail of these fish dead was left in their wake, the fish were relentless and the Thresher Shark was already terribly injured.
A few minutes from now, it would surely perish.
This was not Sebastian’s first time seeing a Thresher Shark. What really attracted him to this shark was the fact that after months of encountering one of them last, he was finally meeting another Mystery Pryer predator.
This Thresher Shark was a purple-tier Mystery Pryer predator.
Putting aside the astonishing speed that he used to evade the deadly fish for so long and safeguard his life, his Mystery Pryer powers were the real game changer as he fought intelligently to injure the fish using the least amount of power.
Though he was already so injured, he never gave up, his eyes were clear and focused as he dealt constant damage to his enemies.
Occasionally, he would release a big attack to kill multiple fish at once which would induce the explosion that attracted Sebastian and his army’s attention.
Despite his efforts, the Thresher Shark was fighting a losing battle.
Seeing this, Sebastian’s eyes gleamed sharply.
At first, he wanted to ignore this battle to avoid drawing unnecessary trouble to his army but he immediately changed his mind when he remembered that his army was suffering from a lack of soldiers to man all the warships.
A purple tier predator was a welcome addition, and it being a Mystery Pryer predator was another point in his opinion.
Considering the current desperate situation of the Thresher Shark, if he saved it, Sebastian believed that his chances of recruiting it would be high.
He didn’t go in alone though, as the boss looking to recruit a subordinate here, he needed to act the part of a boss and mobilize his army.
"Captain, this is my order!"
"Invade the battlefield, kill all the oversized-mouth fish and rescue the Thresher Shark".
"Remember that the goal is to show our might before this predator".
"Yes, boss!"
