Chapter 870: Chapter 870 Only These_1

Jimmy Simmons frowned, "Is that all?"

Hank Ward lowered his head, "Yes, that’s all we’ve found for now."

Jimmy flipped through several documents in his hand, his gaze finally resting on a photograph.

It was a recent shot, with the backdrop of an endless sea, where far off on the surface, the setting sun’s afterglow rolled with the waves, crashing ashore at the girl’s feet.

She, in a bright red long dress, appeared to be the only splash of color between heaven and earth, ethereal and pure, as if she belonged in a painting, her fluttering black hair adding to her beauty.

This photo, if it weren’t for the angle, wouldn’t seem like a candid shot at all. It looked more like it was taken by a professional for a major feature.

Jimmy knew for the first time that someone could indeed look stunningly beautiful in a blurry photograph.

Back then, he had only gotten a glimpse from afar, enough to discern the contours, aware she was a beauty, but now, upon closer inspection...

The feeling was, perhaps, akin to embodying the infamous beauty described in ancient texts.

No wonder she had so many men fighting over her with jealousy, even his former good brother had fallen for her.

Jimmy stared at the photo somewhat entranced, and Tiffany Lynch, glancing at it inadvertently, nearly screamed in fright.

Why did Jimmy have a photo of Hannah Winter?

That was Tiffany’s first thought, followed shortly by the realization that Jimmy was investigating Hannah.

For what reason?

Was it because of the things she had said before, or... 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Seeing Jimmy lost in thought as he looked at the photo, Tiffany suddenly felt a wave of panic and interrupted him, "Jimmy, what are you looking at?"

She knew Jimmy didn’t like others prying into his affairs, so she always behaved as men preferred, gentle and elegant, considerate and caring.

But the scene before her wouldn’t allow her to stay calm.

As expected, Jimmy glanced over, unconsciously slipping the photo into the folder beneath, "Nothing much, just had someone dig up some information. Didn’t you always say that Hannah was targeting you?"

The implication in the man’s words was still in her favor.

This made Tiffany relax slightly, but the boulder in her heart would not budge. If he truly wanted revenge for her, why would he need to investigate so thoroughly?

With Jimmy’s current status and capabilities, wouldn’t it be simple to ruin someone like Hannah Winter?

Yet Tiffany didn’t voice these thoughts, softly showing a smile instead, "Indeed, there have been some conflicts between her and me."

Jimmy nodded, seemingly uninterested in hearing more, his fingertips caressing the edge of the photograph.

After a moment, his gaze fell on Tiffany’s face, his lips curving slightly in an unforced smile, "Tiffany, what happened to your former assistant?"

Tiffany was taken aback, her heart fluttering, but her expression remained steady, her response flawless, "The company had other plans for her, so she was transferred."

She surreptitiously checked Jimmy’s expression.

Jimmy seemed to have asked only casually and quickly changed the subject, "You’re still signed with George River’s company, but after a while, I will help you break the contract and set up a studio just for you."

Tiffany was delighted, yet she showed a worried expression, "But about George..."

Jimmy frowned, an edge creeping into his expression, "Since he let you down, he should no longer hold you back. I will talk to him about this."

Tiffany breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, Jimmy."

Jimmy’s features softened, his tone becoming gentle, "Between us, there’s no need for that word ’thank you’."
