Chapter 871: Chapter 871 This Time It’s Serious_1
After Tiffany Lynch left, Hank Ward cautiously spoke again, "Does Mr. Simmons really not suspect Miss Lynch at all?"
Jimmy turned his wheelchair, picked up the photo he had just put away, and looked at it intently. His tone was casual but carried a cold sharpness, "Tiffany is my life-saver, you shouldn’t doubt her."
Hank Ward quickly bowed his head, and though he had a thousand things he wanted to say, in the end, he could only hold back.
When he had seen Tiffany off just now, he made an excuse to ask once more about her assistant.
Even though she responded fluently and consistently with her earlier statements, Hank still found it odd.
However, seeing how much Mr. Simmons seemed to trust Miss Lynch, Hank thought it best not to dwell on the issue anymore.

George River was hell-bent on going against Jackie Qualls, so much so that he neglected the company’s affairs and plunged back into Prideful Entertainment to resume his former career.
It was for revenge, and also for Hannah.
When Old Sir River learned of this, he was so angry he nearly passed out on the spot, banging his cane heavily on the ground, pointing at George and cursing loudly, "How could I have such a grandson? Entrusted with the great River Clan, and you? You dive into the entertainment industry every day. Wasn’t what happened before enough for you to learn your lesson?"
Facing his grandfather, George stood his ground for once, "Grandfather, as you said, that was before. This time it’s different."
"How is it different?" Old Sir River gasped with anger in his chest, "Before, you dragged the River Clan down for the daughter of the Lynch Family, and now you’re going after some movie star. Do you really wish the whole world to know our River Family uses its power to oppress others?"
George fell silent.
Days passed, and the wound on his face was still not fully healed. Not just on his face, his body was also badly injured.
On that day, neither of them held back.
George had only ever been the one to hit others; when had he ever been hit by someone?
After inheriting the River Clan, Old Sir River had made him learn restraint, and to the outside world, he did appear aloof, but deep down he was as rebellious as Jimmy.
Otherwise, he and Jimmy wouldn’t have gotten along so notoriously in the past.
The only difference was the attitude of his family. Old Sir River had high expectations, and George had to comply, trying hard to be the child from another family, suppressing the rebellion and violence inside him, and putting on a perfect mask.
But all of that went up in smoke after he met Hannah. He couldn’t tolerate anyone coveting his things.
Whether it was Arnold Simmons or Jackie Qualls or even that youth, Hannah Winter would only be his.
Old Sir River looked at George’s demeanor, his anger simmering as if locked in a dark box, his eyes filled with helplessness, "Which woman is this for this time? You don’t want the Lynch girl anymore?"
He knew his grandson too well. Like him and like his father—stubborn, willful, unruly, yet always stumbling over emotions.
Initially, he thought keeping him close would slowly set him straight, but now it seemed... this child had only inherited the flaws.
George straightened his expression and raised his head, earnestly stating, "I didn’t see clearly before, but I won’t make that mistake this time. I’m serious."
His gaze was resolute, this was no joke.
The butler helped Old Sir River to sit down, and he tapped his own leg, "Are you wanting to marry her or just for fun?"
George was stunned, silent for a long time, his determined gaze now mixed with another emotion, "I want to marry her."
Old Sir River let out a heavy sigh, as if he had aged considerably in a moment.
