Chapter 866: Chapter 866: Three Against One

Even with his face marred by wounds and dishevelment, his refined demeanor did not diminish in the slightest, calm and detached as a hermit.

Facing George River’s threat, he merely responded with an indifferent smile, "You’re more than welcome to try, but I will never let go of Hannah."

The two of them exchanged domineering declarations, each seeing the other as a thorn in their side that they were determined to pluck out to feel satisfied.

This was treatment that Tiffany Lynch in the original plot had never experienced.

Having said that, they both subconsciously glanced toward Hannah, but this time, before either of them could make a move, a thunderous noise came from the firmly closed wooden door behind them.

After two consecutive bangs, the wooden door finally could not withstand the force and was violently broken open from the outside.

The door opened.

The harsh light from the corridor lamps poured in, instantly illuminating the chaos within the room. Louis Snyder didn’t hesitate for a moment and barged in.

His gaze lingered on the two disheveled men for only a second before he began searching the room for Hannah.

Finally, his eyes settled on her sitting on the couch.

She was wearing the same vintage blue dress, her long hair slightly curled and draping over her shoulders, the corners of her eyes subtly upturned with a blush, those pure black eyes shimmering, veiled with a mist that seemed to hide the softness of spring rain.

Louis Snyder’s thoughts involuntarily drifted to the content of Hannah’s photoshoot, the ever-lost mermaid, frail and delicate, just one glance could provoke the darkest possessiveness from within someone.

In fact, that’s just who Hannah was.

Finally, he couldn’t contain himself. He walked over, took off his jacket and draped it over Hannah, knelt at her feet, and looked up at her with a gentle voice and a tender gaze, "Sister, I’ve come to take you away."

His words had the air of a knight rescuing the princess from a dragon’s clutches, his eyes filled with unabashed love and yearning.

Hannah looked down at him, her long eyelashes fluttering, her soft fingertips gently touching his forehead with a coy smile, "Sister doesn’t need your meddling, I haven’t seen enough yet."

Her fingertips were cool to the touch, but after a while began to burn. Sensing Hannah’s intention, Louis Snyder willingly pushed his chin forward.

He allowed Hannah’s fingertips to gently graze his chin, as if she was playing with a beloved pet.

Such humble grovelling was something the young man had never shown before.

Although he always preferred to appear harmless and benign, he regarded his pride as far more important than anything else; those who tried to lay hands on him usually ended up hurt or crippled.

But today was different.

He panicked upon breaking through the door and seeing two men fighting over Hannah.

Because he knew that compared to these two men, whether in terms of wealth or fame, he was far behind. He didn’t think he was worse than anyone else, but he just needed more time to grow.

But now it seemed, without Hannah’s love, he didn’t even have that time.

So his gaze towards Hannah became more urgent, eager to show his compliance and obedience.

He was aware, Hannah didn’t love him, but she didn’t love these two men either, so he still had a chance.

Louis Snyder held on to Hannah’s hand tightly, as if clinging to his only lifeline, leaning his whole being towards her.

George River furrowed his brow and stepped forward to pull him away.

But Hannah simply looked up at him, and with a soft and gentle utterance, she immobilized him in place, "Director River, do you feel that you haven’t had enough earlier, and want to continue?"

George River did not know Louis Snyder and felt a sudden animosity towards this young man, who seemed not that much older than himself.
