Chapter 698: Chapter 698: For What
Otherwise, the original host wouldn’t go so far as to bring someone home after only seeing them twice.
But now, Hannah could no longer let loose in front of all these things.
Seeing that Louis Snyder did not speak, Hannah answered for him: "You are always so suspicious, other than those you recognize in your heart, you always think others’ kindness has ulterior motives. But when one day, others get it and don’t want to put themselves through the wringer anymore, you will desperately rush up to them. If this isn’t being a masochist, I don’t know what is."
She spoke harshly, but her face still wore a smile. Her voice, cloaked in the darkness of the night, didn’t seem cold, but rather carried a hint of tenderness, soft and gentle like trickling creek water.
The creek water flowed, slowly fills the heart. At first, you would think the creek water is gentle, but when you come to your senses, you’d be alarmed to find that you’ve been chilled to the bone, your heart soaking in cold water.
A bone-chilling coldness that can’t be escaped, and doesn’t wish to be escaped.
Because it’s hard to let go.
He resembled a lost lamb, helpless and confused. Lowering his head, he rested it on Hannah’s shoulder and the aroma he could sniff at the tip of his nose was cold yet alluring.
His voice was muffled and carried a hint of pleading and compromise,"Yes, I am a masochist, a masochist only for you."
Falling in love with someone he once hurt.
A man as self-interested and dark-hearted as him shouldn’t have such feelings, but even if he did, he shouldn’t let these emotions run wild and grow uncontrollably.
But he just couldn’t help it.
Just seeing her name and another person’s name together made him jealous enough to want to do everything to destroy all things related to her.
Leaning on Hannah, it was like he was a man running in the rain who finally found his warmth, yet before he could truly feel it, he was abruptly pushed away.
Hannah used quite a bit of strength while Louis was not prepared for it. He could’ve balanced himself, but upon seeing her eyes, which held a laughter but were incredibly cold, he changed his mind.
So he went along with the not so strong shove and fell straight onto the ground. His wasn’t too graceful, but he pretended to be aggrieved, looking at her with eyes full of resentment.
He extended a hand towards Hannah.
"If you want to be a masochist, that’s your business, I don’t want a part in it." Hannah didn’t move, not even giving him a look, just soberly watched the boy’s disguise, like an outsider.
"Louis Snyder, do you remember why you entered the entertainment industry in the first place?"
Why did he?
What could make Louis, who’s so selfish, strive so hard for, other than his first love, the top female lead, Tiffany Lynch.
This is also where everything started.
The original host’s hardship began.
Louis suddenly froze, the upward curve at the corners of his mouth slowly fell. He pursed his lips and didn’t say a word for a long time.
He no longer cared about acting pitiful, got back up from the ground intending to grab Hannah’s hand, only to have her dodge.
Hannah opened her mouth, spoke slowly, not even trying to sound convincing, "Don’t talk to me about dreams. Someone else said that today, and even a seven-year-old didn’t believe it."
Louis smiled, his messy black hair obscured the gloom in his eyes, his voice unusually soft and obedient, "I just wanted to make money, so that my sister could live a better life."
Lies.
Hannah didn’t rush to refute, she just looked into Louis’s jet-black eyes. They no longer had that sparkling light, it couldn’t cover up his true nature no matter how he tried to disguise it.
After a while, she shook her head, her voice softer. Her eyes bore a hint of fatigue, "No matter how you explain it, I won’t believe it."
