Chapter 699: Chapter 699 He Shouldn’t Have
The smile on her face was particularly radiant, like the bright moon above the night sky, shining directly into people’s hearts, leaving no dark corner untouched.
Louis Snyder bowed his head in silence, using quietness to mask the chaos in his heart.
No matter how much he denied it, the truth remained that he had used Hannah to get close to Tiffany Lynch.
Louis truly had plans to send Hannah to George River’s bed and had indeed thought of using Hannah to create rifts in their relationship.
He knew the consequences of such actions — Hannah would definitely not have a good end. But once upon a time, he didn’t care.
He was just a nineteen-year-old boy, maybe due to his past, he was incredibly cunning and scheming, employing any means necessary to achieve his goals.
But, he hid these intentions very well.
Except when he stood in front of Hannah.
The lad remained silent. Voices could be faintly heard from outside the courtyard.
Those who had gone to participate in the event were returning.
Louis touched his lips, following closely behind Hannah, they entered the room together.
No one brought up the topic from earlier. Hannah turned around. Seeing Louis still in the room, she asked about another matter, "Did you have anything to do with what happened to Owen Hanson?"
Louis looked up, a youthful innocence on his face but stubbornness present in his voice, "He shouldn’t have coveted my sister."
That in itself was an admission.
Hannah did not ask further.

The next day, during a mission, Louis still followed behind Hannah.
A group of people were walking together, nothing seemed amiss from the camera perspective. Only George Quach had furrowed brows, his face wearing a weary but vigilant expression.
Owen Hanson, having been injured last night, was resting in his room and would not participate in the event for the day.
Thus, Hilary Quin, who had originally planned to team up with Owen, naturally set her sights on Louis.
With Louis’s handsome appearance and his gentle and harmless vibe, it was easy for people to let down their guard and genuinely like him. More importantly, in Hilary’s eyes, both she and Louis had acting backgrounds, shared common topics, and hence, had much more in common.
Teaming up with him was significantly better than being with Owen, who only had an idol background.
As they climbed the bluestone steps, James Landon habitually offered his hand to Hannah.
Hannah, seeing it, naturally placed her hand on his.
Their familiarity was evident to anyone who saw them.
Watching the two figures in front of him, Louis’s extended hand froze mid-air before he silently retracted it.
He hid his mischievous smile immediately, his gaze set silently on James Landon, tinged with a touch of melancholy.
Hilary, who had caught up, didn’t notice the change in Louis. She showed a sweet smile and initiated a conversation, "Your name is Louis Snyder, right? We met in a rush yesterday. I didn’t have time for a proper conversation. I’m Hilary Quin."
Louis averted his gaze, looking down, preoccupied with the path under his feet. He responded to Hilary’s attempt at striking up a conversation with a particularly cold, "Hmm."
Hilary took his silence as shyness. She neither appeared irritated, nor less enthusiastic. Instead, she continued, "I’m a few years older than you, which makes me your senior. If you don’t mind, you can call me Sister Hilary Quin."
As she turned her head to face him, she saw the boy’s fair side profile. His lashes cast a tiny shadow beneath his eyes, closed tightly which probably indicated his nervousness. With his air of innocence, he looked like any pure boy seen in the school campuses, untouched by the worldly dust.
Even Hilary, who was used to seeing all kinds of handsome men and beautiful women in the entertainment industry, couldn’t help but be moved somewhat.
