Chapter 663: Chapter 663: Not Bothered Again

Her voice had softened considerably, "You should have played rock."

She had told him that she would play scissors, which meant that if Brother Matthew Quach wanted to win, he would definitely play rock. She had calculated everything. As long as Brother Matthew Quach played rock, she would win by playing paper.

This was one of the few times Phoebe used her brain diligently, but she didn’t anticipate running into Matthew Quach.

She thought losing at rock-paper-scissors was heartbreaking enough, but what saddened Phoebe even more was that Matthew Quach actually chose her prettier sister.

Her crying became even more intense. The production crew obviously wouldn’t help console the child, leaving Owen Hanson alone and helpless. No matter how much he tried to soothe her, he couldn’t stop Phoebe’s tears.

It was extremely awkward.

And the expressions on their faces had become somewhat ashen.

What was worse was that Phoebe ran directly to Hannah, looked up with her tear-stained face and said, "Pretty sister, wait for me. I will definitely snatch you back from Brother Matthew Quach."

It sounded as if she was making a bold declaration like a knight determined to rescue a princess from a dragon’s grasp.

After saying this, Phoebe didn’t care about Matthew’s cold expression and ran off.

This made Hannah laugh.

Even after they returned to the room, Hannah was still joking with Matthew Quach, "You’re so cold to girls, you won’t be able to find a girlfriend in the future."

Matthew remained stoic, following Hannah step by step, his voice awkward as he forced out, "I don’t care."

The rooms of the three children were separate from those of the three guests. They would only come together as a group during the day to complete tasks. This arrangement was designed to avoid any unnecessary trouble.

Hannah was making the bed but, probably not being very good at it, she struggled for a while and still didn’t succeed, leaving the bed a mess.

Feeling lazy after failing once, she simply threw everything aside, fanning herself and complaining, "This is such a hassle."

At the villa, Arnold Simmons would take care of everything for her. She had never had to do these tedious tasks.

Jack Stewart was even more meticulous than a woman. Even though he would nag, he never allowed Hannah to lift a finger.

Matthew walked up and snatched the bedsheet from Hannah’s hands.

Although he wasn’t particularly tall, he was surprisingly adept at these tasks. "If I’d known you were this useless, I wouldn’t have partnered with you," he complained.

Despite complaining, his movements were swift and skilled.

When he left, Hannah escorted him to the door.

She was considerably taller than Matthew. The young boy, who would grow to well over six feet tall, now had to tilt his head up to look at her.

In over half a year, it seemed his face hadn’t changed much. Even when compared to his appearance on screen, his movements and expressions were exactly the same.

"Matthew, good night," she said, her face lit up with a sweet smile. Her eyes softened as she reached out to tousle his hair.

Matthew flicked her hand away, pressing his lips together, "Don’t pat my head. I won’t grow tall."

He said this and then turned to leave.

The ferocity and ruthlessness he had exhibited upon first meeting were gone. The little wolf cub had been defanged, likely because those around him treated him exceptionally well.

He had just developed one bad habit.

Pretending to be more mature and acting coldly.

Hannah crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe, looking up at the waxing moon. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

The pale moonlight lightly touched her face, making it look even more ethereal, as if dusted with frost.

Golden Lotus was nestling in Hannah’s pocket, poking its head out to breathe.

The small village nestled in the mountains had neither tall buildings nor pollution. The moonlight was serene and beautiful, and the air was filled with a faint scent of earth.

The production crew had rented several houses.
