Chapter 412: Chapter 412: Persuading Her

George River seemed to be somewhat distracted while listening, his mind filled with the phrase "selling herself".

He was not entirely in the dark about it.

The only man around Hannah who could help her get such resources was Arnold Simmons.

If it was about selling herself, who else could Hannah be selling herself to, if not to Arnold?

This realization engulfed George in rage.

He had just terminated Hannah’s endorsement and Arnold immediately splurged money to secure an endorsement deal for Hannah which was a hundred times better. This was clearly a provoke.

He didn’t believe that Arnold did it for Hannah. Instead, he thought Arnold was just doing it to spite him.

After all, Arnold could never forget what happened in the past, or else Jimmy wouldn’t have disappeared, and the Simmons family wouldn’t have fallen into his hands, the hands of his illegitimate child.

As for Hannah, she was used by Arnold as a weapon for retaliation against him.

On the other end of the phone, Tiffany Lynch was expressing her concern, but George was distracted and simply offered a perfunctory reassurance, "Tiffany, don’t overthink it. You haven’t wronged anyone."

Tiffany shook her head, "George, if there’s anything, I want to bear it with you. Don’t blame yourself, okay?"

His soft inquiry left no room for the man to refute.

Getting an answer that satisfied her, Tiffany hesitated for a long time before she spoke again, "George, Hannah seems to have always misunderstood me. If possible, could you try to persuade her? At least, don’t let her so easily give up on herself and not jump into the fire pit, okay?"

After a long silence, the man pinched the bridge of his nose, "Tiffany, you are too kind. If I get the chance I will talk to her, after all, she is innocent."

His last sentence was spoken very lightly.

This was his feud with Arnold and Hannah was dragged into this because of him. He might not love Hannah, but he couldn’t bear to see her deceived by Arnold.

Compared to George’s loss of control and domineering boss mentality, Jackie Qualls remained composed when he heard the news of Hannah’s endorsement.

However, if you look closely, you could still sense some unrest behind the man’s eyes.

His assistant, who had been with Jackie for several years, was especially perceptive, "Hannah Winter must have been kept by someone, right?"

The assistant blurted out what he was thinking when he saw this trending topic, only to cover his mouth afterward, stealing a glance at Jackie.

Jackie remained emotionless, showing no anomaly, but his hand holding onto the handrail had turned white, "When is the next recording for ’Shining Star Journey 2’?"

The assistant quickly replied: "Tomorrow afternoon." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

The man nodded his head and returned his attention to the script in his hand.

Despite the dense text in front of him, he couldn’t read a single word. There was a buzzing sound in his head that drowned out the surrounding noises.

He sat like this until late at night.

Only when the room darkened did he snap back to reality.

He was not a fool. Counting his previous life, he had been in this circle for almost forty years. He understood the darkness that lurked within this industry too well.

He had thought that with his current status, he could provide sufficient protection for Hannah. Even if he couldn’t push her into the limelight, at least he could prevent her from suffering like she did in her past life.

They were supposed to be two mutually understanding individuals. Perhaps when the time was right, they would get married, have children, and live a simple life.
