Chapter 413: Chapter 413: Should I Know You?

He had already seen the darkness of this world, had witnessed the hearts of people, as if looking at the entire story from God’s perspective; he knew that only Hannah truly cared for him.

He would no longer demand things that did not belong to him like in his past life, loving people who did not love him in return; he only wanted to keep Hannah by his side.

But why did everything change?

Before he returned, it seemed like there was already someone else by Hannah’s side.

But he did not even know who that person was.

Hannah was too naive, hence her tragic fate in the previous life. In this world, no one but him would truly care for her, but Hannah did not believe him.

This was the punishment he deserved, but he would not allow anyone else to harm Hannah.

Absolutely not.

In the darkness, the man seemed to have shed his gentle façade of the past, immersing himself in the memories of his previous life.

Such shattered memories, the teary eyes that haunt his dreams, filled with sorrow, were his demons.

Likewise, it was the light he wanted to protect.

After the first public performance came the second; the continuous performances were putting a lot of pressure on everyone.

But now that they had come this far, nobody was willing to give up.

However, everyone’s enthusiasm towards Hannah from before seemed to have cooled down.

Perhaps it was because while everyone was still struggling for tomorrow, someone had made it early. And not only that, this person had gone straight to the top.

Hannah did not mind the alienation of others. On the other hand, Sunny Lee was still sticking to Hannah as always, with a somewhat introverted and well-behaved appearance.

Her admiring gaze at Hannah was akin to looking at her own idol, "Hannah, Hannah, you must try this, it’s delicious."

"Hannah, Hannah, are you tired from dancing recently? For the second performance, are you planning to sing or to dance? Can we be in the same group?"

"Hannah, Hannah, where are you going?"

Her constant chatter made her seem like a little tag-along.

Hannah looked helpless, turned her head to look at her, "If I am going to the restroom, would you follow me?"

Sunny Lee was astonished at first, then blushed and giggled, "I don’t mind."

Hannah fell silent.

The next day at the venue for the second performance’s song selection.

Jackie Qualls arrived earlier than usual, according to the show’s schedule, a special instructor will be participating in today’s recording. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

After listening to today’s recording process, Jackie started looking for Hannah everywhere.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t find her anywhere, even the staff did not know where she was. One of them even wondered, "What’s taken Hayes Edwards so long to arrive?"

The restroom had run out of paper towels. Hannah came out, shook off the water droplets from her hands, and walked without paying attention to her surroundings.

After a few steps, she crashed directly into someone’s arms.

It was a man.

"Miss, don’t you look where you’re going?"

An affectionate male voice came from above, deliberately lowered, sounding somewhat strange.

The man was wearing a peaked cap and a mask, only revealing a pair of shimmering eyes, twinkling with a touch of mischief.

Hannah frowned and stepped aside, "You go first."

The man seemed somewhat surprised. He bent over, leaned into Hannah, and asked in confusion, "Don’t you recognize me?"

"Should I?" Hannah leaned back, "Please step back a little, I’m spoken for."

The man flickered a momentary surprise in his eyes, and very cooperatively took a small step back, smiled and said, "Even though you don’t recognize me, but I recognize you - Hannah Winter."
