Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Always Waiting

Men are known for their attraction to women, but what’s often overlooked is that women, too, can be attracted to men.

Especially someone like Arnold Simmons.

As Arnold strode into the restaurant hand in hand with Hannah, he simply uttered, "Superficial."

"How is it superficial?" Hannah replied, "Didn’t Mr. Simmons strike up a conversation with me because he was drawn to my enchanting beauty?"

Having said that, she nestled her soft face into his shoulder, like an obedient kitten.

Arnold nudged her away slightly, "Narcissistic."

Hannah, far from annoyed, displayed an air of aloof pride as she snuggled up to him again, "Yes, I am quite narcissistic."

This time, Arnold didn’t push her away. Their intimate interaction drew a pleasing picture.

Even from a distance, their silhouettes were picture perfect.

Meanwhile, Jackie Qualls had been waiting alone outside the building for a long time, sitting in his car.

He remained silent, and his driver didn’t dare to drive off. Ironically, his agent was busy negotiating some collaborations and couldn’t stay by his side.

It was nearing midnight.

Once the clock struck twelve, the building would be under curfew. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

The production team had zero tolerance for trainees sneaking out. If caught, the offender could face expulsion from the competition.

The moon hung over the willow tree.

Lost in the endless moonlight, Jackie gently caressed a white silk bow tie he held, deep in thought.

Upon seeing a familiar figure appear in the distance, he clutched the bow tie tight in hand.

As the car door opened, before the driver could even ask "where to," Jackie had already stepped out and walked away.

Hannah didn’t let Arnold drop her off at the building; she walked back herself. It wasn’t too far of a walk.

As Hannah was walking, a figure abruptly appeared, obstructing her path.

"Mr. Qualls, do you need anything?" Hannah asked, noticing the figure in front of her.

Upon her exit from the building, Jackie had been glaring at Hannah from outside for nearly two hours, not leaving even after all the fans had left.

Regardless, he still tried to maintain a soft tone, looking into Hannah’s eyes, "Where have you been?"

Hannah slightly relaxed her furrowed brows while maintaining a neutral expression, "It doesn’t seem like it’s any of Mr. Qualls’ business where I’ve been, does it?"

The distance in Hannah’s eyes only made Jackie feel a chill, causing his smile to become strained. "There are rules from the production team about going out without permission..."

"You may be disqualified." He paused, looking straight into Hannah’s eyes.

It was as though a person wearing thin clothes was walking through a snowstorm. The wind was bone-chilling.

"You’re welcome to report me, Mr. Qualls." Hannah folded her arms and smirked slightly, "You can wait and see if I get disqualified."

Having a backer really felt good.

Disqualification?

Unless Arnold objected, no one would dare to overlook her.

Hannah showed no signs of humility or restraint. Her words were audacious, her whole demeanor exuding a playful pride. Yet she managed not to be off-putting.

Her beauty, porcelain skin, and lively eyes made her even more endearing, even when she was a little capricious.

However, Hannah’s words seemed to validate Jackie’s suspicions.

Recalling the inconsistent statements from the crew, a sinking feeling settled in his heart. A cold sensation spread from his heart to his limbs, finally gathering at his fingertips.

Relaxing his fingers, the item he had been gripping tightly fell from his hand.

The white silk bow tie hair accessory, embellished with fringe and crystals, reflected a faint light under the moon’s glow.
