Chapter 1101: Chapter 1101: But I’m Not Afraid
Tiffany Lynch had narrowly escaped a disaster.
Arnold Simmons placed it on the bedside table and then turned around to find clothing for Hannah.
Tiffany Lynch sighed in relief, meeting the laugher-in-disguise look of its owner, and its legs went soft, tumbling down from the bedside table again.
It caved in.
Truly caved in.
After Hannah had finished her breakfast, just on time, the crew from "Adventure" came knocking at the door.
Previously, due to Tiffany Lynch, the roadshow had been forced into interruption.
The crew’s intention was to postpone the roadshow, considering Hannah had been scared, original plans were to let her rest.
But Hannah refused.
It wasn’t her who had been scared, it was Tiffany Lynch.
The director was hesitant at first, but seeing that Hannah was adamant, he agreed. He just admonished her to rest well and let her decide that evening whether she wanted to perform or not.
Shaw knocked on the door to notify about the performance time that night, holding a schedule in his hand.
The door opened.
"Hannah, the time for tonight’s performance has been set, seven in the evening, Riverside Road... road..."
Shaw continued speaking and lifted his head, seeing Arnold Simmons standing in front of him, he was momentarily lost for words.
Arnold Simmons had changed into different clothes, a white shirt paired with trousers; he hadn’t worn a tie, and the first thing that caught people’s attention was his exceptionally charming face, followed by his somewhat indifferent eyes and brows.
Even with peach blossom eyes, they carried an aura of ’keep away’ on him.
One couldn’t look directly.
If this had been before, not many would have known Arnold Simmons, but ever since Hannah and Arnold Simmons’ romance went public, Arnold Simmons became somewhat of a public figure.
Even though they recognized the face, at most what they knew was that he was the current head of the Simmons family.
As for the rest...
Better not pry into the affairs of a big shot; it could be dangerous for one’s own life.
Shaw wanted to cry, shaking hands, "Big shot, no, I mean, President Simmons, I... I’m looking for Hannah."
Arnold Simmons then stepped aside, revealing Hannah who was nestled on the couch, playing video games.
Hearing the noise, Hannah lifted her head and waved at Shaw, "Come in."
Shaw didn’t dare to move; he just wanted to run.
The aura of the big shot was too oppressive.
Arnold Simmons extended his hand, "Give it to me."
Shaw nodded, placed the schedule in Arnold Simmons’ hand, and ran off.
Arnold Simmons closed the door and walked back with the schedule. Hannah was peeking over the back of the couch at him, having thrown her gaming device aside, her small feet swinging lightly, her mood cheery, "He’s very scared of you."
He walked over, turned off the gaming device, and placed it to one side, "Many people are scared of me."
Hannah turned to look at him, affectionately linking her arms around his, and leaned her head on his shoulder, her warm and soft breath close to his ear, "But I’m not scared of you."
She smiled, her eyes curving like the crescent moon.
Arnold Simmons raised his hand, pinching her cheek gently, "That’s because I dote on you, which makes you lawless."
Hannah nodded with casual honesty, "Indeed, ’spoiled by favor and bred to be capricious’ describes me perfectly."
Arnold Simmons felt a headache coming on again.
Hannah just leaned against his shoulder, looking up at him. Extending a hand, she traced her fingertips from his forehead down, mimicking his earlier action as she pinched his cheek.
The touch was also very pleasant.
"Arnold Simmons, do you like me?"
Arnold Simmons caught her playful hand, "I do."
She asked again, "Just like me?"
Arnold Simmons looked at her, "What else then?"
Hannah frowned, sitting upright, "I think it should be more than just liking."
She met his gaze head-on, seeing the profound darkness within, as deep as a pool settled in the night, with the bright moonlight falling into it.
In the moonlight... was the reflection of her smiling face.
