SCREEEECH—!
The punch that landed on the Spider Queen was enough to bring back the anger that had been flowing through her when Ray killed her children.
And somehow, that was enough to send Nebula into a rage.
Spinning around with such fury, and at the same time moving too fast for Bruce to find a place to latch onto, she sent the werewolf hurtling into the air for a second.
Just enough for her to send her colossal legs shooting towards the werewolf like gigantic pillars.
Vaulting forward, Kai could be seen with his hands crossed in front of the approaching legs.
Crystals rapidly formed a small wall before him.
BOOOOM!
The crystal wall did next to nothing to stop, talk more of holding, the strike back.
It crumbled like a stack of cards.
However, it did its job.
Bruce had already grabbed Kai by the back of his collar and darted away just in time as the leg smashed through the air.
Somehow, it detonated the atmosphere with such fierce force that the ground two metres ahead turned into craters.
For goodness’ sake, the legs didn’t even touch the ground.
Sliding across the ice, Trisha could be seen rushing forward—her eyes fixed on a single point.
The small gap between Nebula’s legs that seemed to be holding the limbs together.
Her cold eyes saw no better place to attack than that.
Chloe was ready to help as her hands were held out.
Even though she had been supporting the group for a while, there was still something important she had been doing on the side.
Due to the fact that the Spider Queen’s attention was fixed on them despite her numerous eyes, she didn’t notice the girl gently lowering the cocoons containing humans.
Before they had rushed into battle, Kai had informed her about the humans trapped inside the cocoons above them.
Felix calmly pointed out the ones who were still alive, making sure she didn’t make a mistake since she didn’t possess hearing as sharp as his.
For the past three minutes that the fight had been going on, about ten cocoons had landed safely beside her.
Ninety more to go.

A leg shot towards the Ice Queen.
But sliding beneath it, she didn’t break stride as she bolted towards one of the limbs.
Another came for her from behind, but Felix was there to cover for her with a swing of his claws.
CLANG!
Claw met chitin-covered leg in a shower of sparks as the werewolf was pushed backward by the impact.
His teeth gnashed together.
Trisha sprang off the ground, her sword flashing towards the narrow gap she had spotted.
Before she could even reach the tendons, the air vibrated around her, and the leg she was aiming for suddenly moved out of view.
’Huh?’
"TRISHA!" Chloe screamed loudly as fear coursed through her voice.
"...."
Being farther back and away from the main battlefield, Chloe was the first to notice what was about to happen.
Spinning around in panic, Trisha was met with Nebula’s horrifying face as her mandibles shot towards her.
Ready to tear her in two.
Numerous eyes locked onto her like prey.
The mandibles eager to taste her flesh.
And Trisha?
The girl was too slow to even think, talk more of moving.
An Emperor-rank beast was no joke.
Its speed was on an entirely different level compared to anything they had ever faced.
At the last second...
At the very last second, before the mandibles could close around her—
Bruce barged into the girl with his shoulder, sending her flying out of harm’s way.
And now, he was left to face the mandible that was almost upon him.
However,
Clap!
Suddenly, Bruce vanished from view and instead, the body of one of the dead spiders appeared in his spot.
CLACK!
Nebula’s powerful mandibles smashed into the corpse, shattering the whole thing regardless of the fact that it was covered in thick chitin and armour.
Bruce landed a few metres away with a slight huff of air.
Nebula paused.
The pause was all the two werewolves needed as they leaned forward.
Their calves bulged incredibly with power; they bent slightly at the knees, muscles coiling tight, then released like springs unbound, launching into the air with explosive grace.
The air shuddered as the two werewolves suddenly shot forward.
Alas! Bruce was much faster.
He appeared before the Spider Queen in no less than a split second.
Unhesitatingly, he bashed his fist into her face with bone-rattling force.
The ground beneath the Spider Queen shattered in a split second as Nebula’s head was knocked to the side.
"AWHOOOO!"
Felix howled while descending from above with his hands clamped together, and then,
WAM!
He bashed his fists into the Queen’s head with concussive force that made the already shattered ground crater even further.
Dust billowed into the air.
Kai pointed his hands forward—sending a dozen crystal spikes launching into the cloud of dust, hoping to catch the spider.
Even though he knew it was totally futile.
SCREEEECH—!
Suddenly, Felix erupted from the heart of the dust like a sniper’s bullet—heavy, deadly, unstoppable. His form was a flash of mass hurtling backward with astonishing speed.
WAM!
The werewolf crashed into one of the chamber’s pillars.
His whole body tore straight through the pillar before ricocheting across the ground.
"Ugh....kuk...."
As he bounced across the ground, blood could be seen dribbling down his chin.
The dust cleared the moment his body was sent hurtling away.
And in the process, they saw Bruce weaving between Nebula’s legs with intense focus and astonishing speed.
He remained completely focused, knowing that a single mistake could cost him dearly.
Dashing from left to right, he dodged everything the spider threw at him.
Springing off the ground, his fist clenched tightly as he prepared to drive a punch into Nebula.
But then,
To his utter horror, he had thought he finally had a grasp of the beast’s speed.
But alas!
One leg shot forward faster than a sniper’s bullet.
He couldn’t dodge it. He knew that.
Hence, he whirled around with his arms crossing in front of his face.
The leg smashed into his guard with bone-rattling force before continuing its momentum and hammering him into the ground with resounding strength.
The earth shattered apart as a blanket of dust billowed into the air.
Ray’s eyes darted to the system screen in fright.
"Ba....thump...."
