Chapter 700: *Acting like a cunning fox*

Once the army of Skeletons was ready and the General Wizard had summoned Dead Knights, Dead Wizards, Dead Cyclops, and Dead Giants, Kevin ordered his three Shadows to go fight with Axel against these Gods of God level 7 while he took care of this army with Willow.

He had to drink three Legendary-grade healing potions to replenish his energy reserve while first summoning his three Shadows and then their armies, but now the Skeletons had their own source of energy like the Dead creatures summoned by the General Wizard, so they wouldn’t need to use his energy reserve anymore.

Before letting them go to fight the holographic Gods of God level 7, Kevin wrapped a piece of his Chains of Restraint around each of them and said to Axel, "Even with the support of my Shadows, be careful, and don’t forget, we just have to endure it for 3 hours, so even if you can’t kill them all, it’s not a problem."

Axel then took them in his arms and said, "Call me if you need reinforcements, and protect our daughter... If I had known that this last trial would be to face an army, I wouldn’t have let Willow come with us."

Willow protested right away and pouted, but Kevin then smiled, seeing his daughter acting for once like a normal child, and said to her, "Smile for your Dad, baby girl; he is just worried about you. And it is a good opportunity to show him that you can help me take care of this army, don’t you think so?"

Willow then nodded and smiled at Axel while clinging onto his neck, saying to him while still hugging him, "Don’t worry Dad, I’m safe thanks to Daddy’s Chains of Restraint. The only threat to them is the attacks made of black particles, and these holographic Gods can’t reproduce this kind of attack, so I won’t be in danger."

Axel then caressed her hair, and he could only acknowledge that his daughter was right and that they wouldn’t have any bad surprises while fighting them.

Kevin hugged the both of them too and said to Axel, "Don’t forget to drink Legendary-grade healing potions from time to time; it will help you recover faster."

Axel then told him, smiling at him, "This time, don’t shout, babe; use our link to communicate instead."

Kevin then kissed him a few more times, and when the countdown was coming to an end, he took Willow back in his arms and said, "Everyone, get ready!"

Axel then joined Kevin’s Shadows, who bowed to him since Kevin already ordered them to follow Axel’s commands, and Kevin used his Chains of Restraint to build a powerful force field that would keep him and Willow safe during this battle.

This time, he said to Willow, "Contrary to the last battle, we need to use long range spells that can make maximum of damage right at the beginning of the battle. But as soon as our army clashes with the opponent’s army, we will have to use spells more like the last time since we will need to be careful not to kill our soldiers. It is a good opportunity to practice because even if our soldiers are summoned creatures, during the War, it will be our friends that will be fighting against the Titans and the Demon’s army, so use this battle to learn how to attack our opponents while protecting our soldiers."

Willow nodded with a grave face and said, "I understand, Daddy; I will do my best."

Kevin smiled, and he conjured up, thanks to his System, 8 small balls of Sacred Fire energy. He looked at Willow, who smiled at him, and she also conjured up 8 small balls of Sacred Fire energy.

Axel then turned toward them, feeling the pressure that these small balls were giving off, and he couldn’t help but feel sorry for their opponents.

With this attack alone, most of the holographic army would be destroyed, but Axel had a bad feeling about this trial... Why would it be a test of survival when they could obviously annihilate their opponents?

But he didn’t have time to think about it anymore as the countdown ended, and so he dashed toward the holographic Gods with Kevin’s Shadows trying to follow him.

Before he reached these holographic Gods, he launched his Divine storm thanks to his Divine sword, and while the holographic Gods were attacked by Axel’s Divine storm, the rest of the holographic army was attacked by the energy balls made of Sacred Fire energy, and 80% of the holographic army was wiped out just with this attack.

However, the battle was far from over, as the holographic Necromancer and General Wizard began summoning additional creatures to replace those that had just been defeated.

Of course, the holographic Necromancer and General Wizard weren’t as powerful as Kevin’s Shadows, so the creatures they could summon were less numerous and less powerful.

Still, the holographic army that was almost wiped out just a few seconds earlier was coming back to life, and that wasn’t all. In addition to these summoned creatures that were completing the holographic army, another army showed up, and this time it was a Zombie holographic army.

"Damn it," thought Kevin. If every time they killed almost all the holographic army, another one showed up, then they couldn’t win... They could only survive!

He finally understood the concept of the last trial, and so he said to Willow, "As you can see, the more holographic creatures we kill, the more appear right after, so let’s forget about large-scale attacks and instead we should focus on supporting our soldiers."

Willow nodded and said to Kevin, "Don’t worry, Daddy; I know what I have to do."

Just after she said that, Willow shaped the golden particles that were above the battlefield into blades and pierced the green flames of the stronger Skeletons that were waiting quietly in the back of the holographic army.

Kevin smiled, seeing that; his daughter was like a cunning fox, and he liked that a lot, so he encouraged her, saying, "Great move, my little princess; keep going on like this."

Kevin then teleported outside the Chains of Restraint, and since Willow, thanks to the last trial, had learned how to fight while resting safely under the protection of his Chains of Restraint, he could now enjoy killing as many holographic creatures as he wanted.

He dashed toward the few Necromancers and General Wizards that were at the back of the holographic army and again used the energy balls made of Sacred Fire energy to kill them all.

Then he teleported in front of the holographic Zombie army and used the blessing magic to kill them all in one go...

That was almost too easy, thought Kevin.

While the three of them were fighting these holographic creatures, outside the towers, everyone was looking at the top of the tower where the 10th floor was located, and from time to time, they could see an orange light with golden glitter on it, as well as golden light and white light coming out of its walls.

Peter couldn’t help but ask, "What the hell is happening on this floor?"

Solomon then said, "I don’t know, but for Kevin to use Willow’s Sacred Fire energy and the Blessing magic of the Angel, their opponents have to be extremely powerful."

They were all looking at the last floor, hoping that everything would be alright for them, and they could only wait to know what exactly was happening in there.

Kevin was really enjoying himself, and as he had already destroyed the equivalent of 3 holographic armies, the 4th one was already appearing, and this time it was commanded by three holographic Gods of God level 6.

So the more he killed creatures, the stronger the next army would be... "Perfect!" thought Kevin.

This trial was really challenging him, and he could finally use all of his powers. Willow was still taking care of their soldiers while killing the most holographic creatures possible, and so he flew thanks to the golden wings he created with the golden particles, and the holographic Gods immediately went after him.

Kevin used his Chains of Restraint to separate them, and he made two golden short swords appear to fight against them.

On another side of the 10th floor, Axel had also killed 5 Gods of God level 7 already, and Kevin’s Shadows had killed 3 of them. The holographic Gods kept appearing like the holographic army, and Axel was now fighting against 5 holographic Gods of God level 8.

Right now, thanks to the support of Kevin’s Shadows, he could still manage to deal with them, but this trial was really there to test their limits.

Axel smiled then as he was more determined than ever to kill the most holographic Gods possible to see where his limit was, and so he gave it his all while fighting against them.
