Chapter 699: *Last trial*
The trial was over, and a silver light then enveloped their bodies. Kevin then unexpectedly received a notification from his System.
[Energy source unknown; your energy reserve has just been replenished, and all your basic Stats increased by 20 points.]
Kevin, who had joined Axel and was supporting him, then saw that this silver light was healing all the wounds on Axel’s body, and Axel finally calmed down, feeling suddenly completely refreshed.
He looked at his hands as the wounds on them disappeared, and he could feel that this silver light was helping him to feel better.
He also saw what Kevin’s System told them, and he said to Kevin, "Now, there is no more doubt; as soon as we leave this tower, we have to call Miguel and Elias to send us Connor and Derek. This ore is truly extraordinary."
Kevin nodded, and he told Axel, "Right now, if I had to compare these Towers to our Dungeons, I would say that they are a little harder than our purple dungeons, but they are still far from the level of our red dungeons."
Axel nodded; Kevin was right, and so he said, "There are advantages and disadvantages to each of them. The dungeons will still be better for undergoing training for our teamwork, and these towers can help better for individual training."
Kevin smiled and said, "Usually, you end up in this state only when the Warrior Spirits are training you. At least, this is better training for you than the purple dungeons."
Axel smiled too and asked Kevin, "For the next level, will you be able to protect Willow like this one?"
Willow then looked at Kevin because she knew that if her Daddy said no, she would have to go down to the third level because her Dad would never go against him. But Kevin then said, taking her in his arms and helping Axel to get up, "I still didn’t use my Stage 3, so I’m still confident that I can protect our daughter. The Chains of Restraint will be almost unbreakable after I use my Stage 3, and your powers will also receive a great boost."
Kevin then walked to the last silver stone, and while the silver light was healing them, helping them to get back to their peak condition, all three of them received a message telling them that they could enter the 10th floor, the last one, if they possessed an energy reserve of 80,000 points.
Kevin and Axel couldn’t help but be thrilled by this 10th level. Kevin still rarely used his Stage 3, and when he did, it was because he was cornered and didn’t have any other options left, so they really hoped that they could train against opponents who would force him to use it this time.
Outside the tower, almost all the Black Elves had gathered to watch Axel, Kevin, and Willow progress, and they were now respectively in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on the honor board.
Atlas and Lena had finally joined the others after having been kicked out of the tower while facing their opponents on the 9th floor, and so Atlas was 5th on the honor board, while Lena was in 7th place, with the 4th and 6th places being taken by Maya and Peter.
Everyone was silent when they saw the 10th floor appearing next to their names, meaning that the last trial had begun, and they all looked up, even though they couldn’t see anything that was happening inside the tower.
Maya looked at Peter, and they realized how lucky they were that Axel and Kevin were the ones who came to save them, and they also knew that their daughter’s safety wasn’t a problem anymore.
Lena had even been able to go as far as the 9th floor thanks to her future husband, and it was only their first attempt; they were already stronger than them.
As for Sora and Solomon, they were a little less powerful than the others, but their performance in the arena when they came to save them was still amazing, and with a good training plan, they would be able to become much more powerful.
After all these years, Maya finally felt at ease now that she knew that her girls could defend themselves properly and that they had both found life partners who would protect and love them for the rest of their lives.
She took Peter’s hand in hers and caressed Lena’s hair as she was next to her. She had dreamt so much about this day, but the reality was even better than her dreams.
While Maya and Peter were enjoying their family time, Axel, Kevin, and Willow still chose to fight as a group, and as soon as they chose their options, a timer was displayed, like the last time, with a countdown, and they had 3 hours not to beat their opponents, but to survive this trial.
This time, if they weren’t kicked out of the tower when the 3 hours ended, it would mean that they had passed it, even if they couldn’t kill all their opponents. They had 2 minutes to prepare themselves, and in front of them, suddenly, an army emerged out of nowhere.
Axel then looked at Kevin, and there were already 6 holographic Gods of God level 7. Moreover, there were a lot of different creatures, all from the evil beings that were in this world.
Kevin then conjured up his 3 Shadows and ordered his Necromancer and his General Wizard to summon their most powerful army.
If they were going to face an army, then they would use one too to defend themselves. It was such a shame that his Swallower of Shadows didn’t have any more Shadows under his command.
As this thought crossed his mind, as soon as they would be back in their world, he would make a priority to recruit new Shadows thanks to the purple dungeons for himself and for his Swallower of Shadows.
