Chapter 680: *The nature’s energy*

As for Kevin, Axel, Willow, as well as Solomon, Sora, who was still unconscious, Atlas, and Lena, they had all followed Peter to get some good rest after having such intense battles.

Peter didn’t lead them into the capital, where people would surely be celebrating the victory tonight; he preferred to lead them to where Maya’s clan had established themselves once they had gotten the approval of the Humans to live with them.

It was a secluded place in the biggest forest in the human territory, and Peter was right; it was a perfect place to rest.

When Peter had introduced Lena and Sora to the Black Elves, their best healer, second only to Maya in their clan, told them that Sora could recover faster if she was in a place where the nature’s energy was the strongest, and this was also why they had chosen to follow them.

Even Willow’s psychic power couldn’t help Sora this time, and since she was unconscious because she had used the techniques of the Black Elves, they could only trust them and hope that they could really help Sora feel better.

Kevin immediately felt the difference when they entered the territory of the Black Elves; he could feel a benevolent force all around them.

The healer then told him, when he saw Kevin frowning and looking around him, "What you feel is the concentration of the nature’s energy. It is rare for a human to be able to sense it, but as your aura is similar to that of the Priests, even though it is not as strong as Miguel’s, it is no wonder that you can feel this energy."

The healer then explained to him, "Black Elves can cultivate this energy, but we can’t use spiritual energy like Humans. However, since we can connect to the nature’s energy, it is as if we can use the light, earth, water, and even lightning elements for the most powerful of us."

Kevin then said after hearing that, "I see. After all, the nature provides us with medicinal and magic herbs. Some plants can store water, and I guess that with that strong concentration of the nature’s energy, the vegetation in this area has to use the lightning particles in the spiritual energy to communicate with each other. It is like a huge network and it can be use to send signals. And since you are all connected with this energy, it provides you with a strong protection, am I right?"

The healer then bowed his head and said, "You are right. This nature’s energy has protected our clan since the dawn of time. We can all use the vines to fight and protect ourselves, but few of us can cultivate its healing power. Maya is the only one who can add lightning to her vines, which considerably increases the power of her attacks."

Lena then said, mesmerized by this energy, "I can feel it too..."

Lena then moved aside, and since she didn’t want to hurt anyone, she signaled to the others not to follow her. When she was about 50 meters away from them, she opened her arms, letting her white light spread all over the place.

Atlas couldn’t feel this nature’s energy, and he guessed that Kevin could feel it only because he could use all the elements of the spiritual energy.

So, as Kevin could probably sense his frustration, he told him that Lena was strengthening this nature energy that was surrounding them with her light and that it was spreading over a radius of 50 km.

All the Black Elves accompanying them then widened their eyes as they looked at their bodies. They had all been treated by Kevin, Lena, and their friends, but they were still exhausted after having fought for so long.

Suddenly, they felt a surge of energy coming from the nature energy they were connected to, and they all felt energized; their fatigue was finally gone.

Lena then stopped when she felt that she couldn’t improve the energy of this nature anymore, and she looked at Sora, wondering if she could focus her healing powers on the part of the Black Elves that they both seemed to possess and that was connected to this nature energy.

But when she was about to reach her sister, the healer from the Black Elves then stopped her and said, "No need. Look, Sora is already connected to the nature energy, so she also received this surge of energy like us."

Sora then moaned, and Solomon immediately called her name as Sora was finally opening her eyes. She put her hand gently on his cheek to reassure him and said to him, as she could see that they seemed to be safe now, "Put me down; I’m alright, I promise."

Peter then asked the healer of the Black Elves, since he didn’t understand what happened, "What did Lena do exactly? Her light couldn’t wake up Sora earlier... And you talked about a surge of energy, but I didn’t feel anything when Lena’s light enveloped us. I don’t understand."

The healer then told him, "Lena has just strengthened with her light the power of the nature energy that is surrounding us. Her aim wasn’t to use her light on us but on the nature energy; that’s why you didn’t feel any change, because you are not connected to it. But we have all felt it; it was like a surge of power running through our veins. I have never felt anything like that before. And as Sora is also connected to this nature energy, this flow of energy was enough to wake her up."

Sora then smiled at her sister and then asked Peter, "Uncle, where is our mother? What happened?"

All the Black Elves then looked at Peter, and Peter told them immediately, "It’s a long story, but to be able to part with my girls, I preferred to lie to them, and they always thought that I was their uncle... I didn’t have much choice. Maya was still there, and I couldn’t abandon all of you. I had to come back, hoping that one day we would be able to join our girls again or that Sora would become powerful enough to open a transdimensional portal to find us."

Sora then widened her eyes, and Kevin told her, "He is your father, and Maya, your mother, is safe. Do not worry."

Solomon then told her, "She is with Elias, Miguel, and the others. Everything is fine now; the war has just ended. We are in the territory of your mother’s Clan, and it was the right decision, as you have finally woken up."

Peter then told her gently, caressing her head, "I will explain everything to you and answer all of your questions later, but right now, let’s continue. We are almost there; we will all be able to rest once we reach the kingdom of the Black Elves."

Atlas then frowned and repeated, "Kingdom? Are the Black Elves so powerful?"

Peter then told them, "The Black Elves are the most ancient creatures of our World, and even the Humans who have finally chosen to accept them in their territory didn’t know about the existence of their Kingdom."

The healer then told them, "We used to live in the evil beings’ territory since the Humans didn’t accept our differences at first, but we never sided with the evil beings. Actually, we are a peaceful race, and we fight only when we are threatened. Peter and his Master are the only Humans allowed there; otherwise, the nature energy prevents the other Humans from finding us."

Kevin then asked them, "Is it because of Sliman that you had to move to the Human territory?"

The healer then smiled at him and said, "The Humans accepted us after Elias and Miguel helped us fight this God 3,000 years ago. Since then, we have moved there, and our Kingdom has grown a lot thanks to the strong spiritual energy here."

Kevin and the others then saw the Black Elves that were leading the way disappear one after another, and Peter then told them, "Remember, we told you that the nature energy prevents the Humans from finding them... But as you are their guests, you will be able to pass this invisible barrier and enter the kingdom of the Black Elves."

The healer then told them, bowing his head in respect and showing them the way to follow with his hand, "You will always be welcomed in our Kingdom; this way, please."

Axel then put his arms around Kevin’s shoulders and smiled at their daughter, who had remained quiet since the battle was over. He then said, "Sweetie, maybe you will be able to play with some kids here and make friends; the Black Elves seem quite strong; they will be good playmates for you."

Willow then looked at him, and as she hadn’t thought of this possibility, she did not know what to expect at all.
