Chapter 679: *Negociation*
Miguel then used his ultra-high perception to separate everyone with the help of the spiritual energy, and he also used it to block the attacks or make the spells of those who had launched them disappear.
His range of action was so large, and he had done this so quickly that Peter couldn’t help but say, not believing his eyes, "Impossible..."
Maya, as for her, was completely speechless. Miguel was using the spiritual energy in such a way and in such a large quantity to be able to separate them all and conceal all their attacks that it was truly spectacular and also terrifying.
But he hadn’t finished yet; Miguel then pointed his hands towards the ground and finally released a wave of energy, the one that Elias had told them about.
Like a powerful shockwave made only from the spiritual energy, Miguel created a clear separation between the evil beings and the Humans that was 10 meters wide and spread over a 50 km distance across the battlefield.
Miguel then landed right in the middle of the separation he had just made, and Elias told Maya and Peter to join him.
Maya and Peter nodded, and they both landed to the right of Miguel while Elias landed on his left.
They faced the evil beings, showing them that they were there to support the Humans of this world, and Miguel then called everyone.
They all appeared one after another, releasing their powerful auras as soon as they materialized like planned. The pressure of their auras, which were directed only towards the evil beings, made them all fall to their knees, and some even collapsed, losing consciousness.
Elias then said to Kevin, who had appeared next to him, "Son, it is time to show them that the war is over and that they have already lost."
Kevin just nodded, and he asked his System how to conjure up the three Shadows he had just absorbed. A message then appeared explaining to him:
[To conjure up all the Shadows that you have stored, you will need 50,000 Soul force points. The more Shadows you summon, the more Soul force points you will need to conjure them all. Otherwise, you can select the Shadows you want directly by checking the level 10 spell that uses the Swallower of Shadows’ unique magic. You just have to click on the number of Shadows available, and all the Shadows that you have stored will appear, and you will be able to choose them one by one. Do you want to release all your Shadows? Yes/No]
Kevin was glad that there was a way for him to choose which Shadows he wanted to conjure up, but right now he didn’t need this option so he simply chose Yes.
Then the former master of the evil beings appeared, followed by the Necromancer and then the General Wizard. The black mist around them could be seen by everybody, and they all understood that the three most powerful evil beings of their world had become Shadows and that they were the puppets of a young man whose aura was extremely powerful.
Elias then said, after sending a message through the communication stones to warn everyone that they could all stop pressuring the evil beings, "Now that you have seen that your master and his two best generals are dead and that their Shadows are ours, let’s end this war here."
As soon as the pressure of their auras had disappeared and after the small speech that Elias gave, some evil beings tried to run away. But Miguel then said to them, creating not an impenetrable barrier but a barrier strong enough to prevent these evil beings from fleeing, "Not so fast; you have to bear the consequences of your actions first."
Elias then said, "All the Generals of your army, come to gather here. We will try to be fair if you admit your defeat right now."
Miguel then said to them, "Just in case you still have hope that Sliman or Lilith will appear — the Gods that helped you get this far — just know that Sliman is dead and that Lilith will never come back here. This world is now under the protection of the God of War and the Warrior Spirits."
Maya and Peter then turned to their friends, and Peter’s master, as well as the most powerful Black Elves, joined them, and they fell into each other’s arms.
Maya and Peter had been taken prisoners for a week now, and as they had refused to surrender, they really thought that this time they were dead for sure. Maya was the head of the Black Elves, so she was qualified to stand with the Angels to negotiate what should be done next. Peter then went with Kevin, Colin, and Lena to help heal the wounded.
The others helped too by distributing legendary-grade healing potions to those who needed them.
Once the representatives of the evil beings and those of the Humans had joined them, Miguel surrounded them with a powerful force field to keep their negotiations private. That way, the representatives of their two races wouldn’t feel the pressure of their own clans to decide what was best for them.
Fortunately, the evil beings that were at a disadvantage during negotiations weren’t unreasonable, and so an agreement was found rapidly. Both sides suffered from the war, but the evil beings could reproduce much faster than the Humans, so the Angels left them a part of the territory that they had conquered on the condition that Miguel put in place an impenetrable barrier to protect the Humans of their world from the evil beings.
As both sides didn’t want to try to live in harmony with each other, it was the only solution they could find for everyone to be satisfied.
Before they finished talking, Peter had already sent everyone home, leaving only the evil beings behind, guarded by Mykael, Colin, the Warrior Spirits, Ian and Jordan. This formidable presence ensured that the evil beings wouldn’t dare to try anything foolish.
