Chapter 377: ATTACKED
"What did you say?" Trey questioned Adrain, daring him to repeat what he said. He moved forward, his forehead nearly touching Adrain’s in a threatening manner, wanting to intimidate him but Adrain stood still, not feeling intimidated at all.
Trey was about to punch Adrain in the face when Jay, the guy with the eye patch, held Trey by his hand and pulled him back.
"This isn’t the right place to fight right now," he said to Trey, his gaze on the warden who was walking around, making sure that the other inmates were doing what they were supposed to do and Trey understood the assignment.
Looking back at Adrian, he warned,
"We will see each other another time and then I will teach you a lesson." Then he walked off and continued to do his task.
Adrain heaved a sigh of relief but he knew what was coming to him next.
Under the hot scorching sun, the inmates continued to do their hard labor until it was over and it was time for them to clean themselves up and get back into their cell rooms.
Adrain waited for Trey, his gang, and every other inmate to finish cleaning themselves before he went in to have his body washed clean.
The bathroom was large enough to accommodate twenty people all at once but he was planning to avoid Trey and anyone else since Trey could easily send some people to beat him up, especially after what happened a few hours earlier.
Suddenly, Adrain heard a knock on the door of the bathroom. He was the only one inside and he made sure everyone had finished cleaning off before he went in which only meant that Trey had come to trouble him again.
With his eyes wide in shock, Adrian quickly wiped his body clean, got dressed, and started searching for an escape route to get out from
because if they gang up and beat him in the bathroom, he would have little to no chance of escape since they would lock the door.
Looking up at the windows, he noticed that it was sealed so that no inmate could escape from there and there was only one door, which was the one that they wanted to come in through, which was also locked.
"Open the damn door, Adrain Hart!" Jay called from outside, banging hard on the door. "You think you are going to live a peaceful life here after what you did?" He questioned as he tried to bang the door open.
Adrain tried to calm his breathing down so that he could think of a way to escape from there but there was no way out. That was a prison bathroom where there wasn’t a single open space for someone to climb off since they feared that an inmate would be able to escape.
He suddenly wished he could go back in time to a few hours ago and not have talked back to Trey. He should have just done what Trey wanted him to do and then he won’t be in this situation.
He would possibly be in his cell room, about to call it a day and sleep but here he was, facing the consequences of his actions.
Hiding inside one of the cubicles would be a bad idea since they would search everywhere and make sure they found him.
"Hey, bang this door open!" Trey ordered one of the inmates with him and in a second, a heavier body kept on banging on the door, trying to open it and Adrain could tell the door would be open in any second from then on.
"Since I can’t find a way to escape, I will just look for a weapon to fight them with," he suggested to himself as he started looking around for something to use against them. But it was a bathroom, what could he possibly find? He thought to himself.
Adrain started searching until he noticed a shattered glass bottle on the ground, hidden in one corner. It was a beer bottle which was totally prohibited but any inmate could sneak something inside the jail nowadays with the help of the warden.
Picking up the glass bottle, he kept it close to him and readied himself to stab someone if they dared come close to him.
Abruptly, the door was banged open just after he hid the bottle in his towel.
"You are here? I thought this place was empty, that’s why no one answered us," Trey joked, taking slow steps towards Adrain while the others immediately got inside the bathroom and the last person locked it behind him.
"What are you doing here? Didn’t you have your bath yet?" Adrain questioned Trey, watching from the side how the other inmates had started to circle him. "Or did you come to have another?"
"Believe me when I say you will be the one that will need that bath after we are done with you. Do you think you can talk to me like that earlier and won’t get beaten up by me? You must be kidding me, Adrain," said Trey. "You ran away with our 150 million dollars and killed our leader, do you think you will be here in peace? Even when you don’t do anything to annoy me, I will still make you pay for what you did," he added, with a creepy smile on his lips.
"Do your worst," said Adrain, holding tighter to the bottle as he readied for when they would attack him.
Trey smirked and gave an eye signal to the inmates to go ahead and instantly, one of them from behind attacked Adrain by kicking him in the back but Adrian was able to dodge it by moving to the left side as quickly as possible.
Again, someone from there attacked him and then he brought out the bottle that was hidden in the towel and charged.
One of the inmates that attacked Adrian got stabbed in the stomach with the bottle and the others quickly raised an alarm.
"He has a bottle!!"
