Chapter 366: ARRESTED
Both Felix and Daniel forced Felicia and Adrain into the car, ignited the engines, and drove away.
As Erika was about to get into her car, she sighted Jude who was hidden in one of the bushes, her eyes widened from finding Erika and Ethan at that location.
’How did they get here so fast?’ She couldn’t help but wonder.
Immediately, Erika went into the bush and pulled Jude out of it. Before the latter could say anything to protect her actions, Erika had landed a heavy, painful slap and hot slap on her cheeks.
Jude held her numb cheek that had just been slapped as a single tear dropped from her eyes.
"I trusted you," Erika said with palpable anger in her tone. "But you let me down, you are going to pay for what you’ve done, just like them."
With that, Erika pulled Jude away from the bushes and threw her into her car after making John and Luca sit in the front seats with her. She couldn’t risk having her so close to them anymore after what she’d done.
"Mam, I’m sorry for what I did but the thing is, Adrain and Felicia took my daughter away from me and threatened to kill her if I didn’t bring the boys. At first, I didn’t want to do it. I promise. I didn’t have any other choice." She sobbed at what the future holds for her. She didn’t need to ask to know they were taking her to jail for her actions and now, who was going to take care of her daughter if she went to jail? She only had her daughter in this life and her daughter only had her.
Both Erika and Ethan glanced at her through the rearview mirror and saw the girl that she’d wrapped around her body with a blanket to prevent her from being seen.
"I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t want to bring the boys and at the same time, I didn’t want to lose my daughter," she continued while she sobbed. "I left John’s slippers at the shore and hoped that one of you would find it. I wanted you to find the boys as fast as possible because Adrain and Felicia planned to kill them off after they’ve gotten what they wanted from you," she added, wiping away the tears that streamed down from her face.
Both Erika and Ethan glanced at each other, not sure if she should believe her words or not.
Jude had always been a good nanny. They’d gotten her when the boys were just two years old and Erika had watched as she took care of them as if they were her own and her sudden action had surprised them. They hadn’t expected her to do such a thing.
"Please mam, sir. I don’t mind if I go to jail for what I’ve done. I know I deserve it but can you take care of my daughter when I get there? I don’t want her to see me at the station, getting locked up," she pleaded as she continued to sob even more.
"We will see when we get there," Erika said and Jude quickly clammed her mouth shut.
It was very evident that the parents were furious at her and now, she doesn’t know if she’d made them even angrier by telling them the story behind her actions.
"Mummy, please forgive her," Luca pleaded on her behalf.
"Not now Luca," Erika said, her tone softer than the one she’d used when talking with Jude. No matter how furious she was, she wasn’t going to lash out at her kids.
John tapped Luca on the shoulder and placed his finger on his lips indicating that he should be quiet. Luca sighed and then remained quiet.

Getting to the police station, Felix and Daniel pushed both Felicia and Adrain into the station as they struggled to be let free. They’d planned everything so perfectly well in their favor and never for once dreamt or imagined themselves returning to this kind of place.
"Officer, I would like you to arrest these two criminals and charge them for kidnapping. The woman is a runaway from a prison in California. Her name is Felicia Evans and the man is a kidnapper," Ethan informed as soon as they got inside the station. He couldn’t wait to have those two be free from their lives as soon as possible. They’d bothered him long enough.
"You can’t prove anything," said Felicia with a smirk on her lips. "I’m not Felicia Evans, I’m not Lucia Martinez," she added.
Adrain glanced at her and knew exactly what she wanted to do. "She’s not Lucia Martinez, she’s Felicia Evans."
Felicia glared at Adrain for ratting her out. This was the main reason she had been able to come up with the idea of getting her face changed so that she wouldn’t ever have to go to jail since her face didn’t match that of Felicia Evans anymore.
The police officer got confused with the whole situation and suggested an idea.
"I will have her DNA checked which could prove if she’s Felicia Evans or not."
"That’s too much time to waste. We have proved here that she got plastic surgery,"
Felix held out a paper for the police officer to take a look at.
The paper contained the agreement that had occurred between Mr Gilbert and Felicia when she wanted to get the surgery done. After doing some research some years back while still
looking for Adrain, they’d found Mr Gilbert.
The officer started at the document, scanned it until he was sure it was a real one, and announced. "Miss Felicia Evans, you are under arrest," he declared.
Felicia glared at Adrain for ratting her out. It was obvious that he didn’t want her to escape the punishment. That was how much they didn’t trust each other
"And you, sir are also under arrest for kidnapping," he declared towards Adrain, whose hands were clenched tightly.
