Chapter 314: POISONED SOUP?
The next morning, Viper woke up with a splitting headache. He grumbled in pain as he held his head which seemed to want to fall off if he didn’t. Walking towards the mirror, he looked at himself, finding out that he was still wearing the same clothes he was wearing the previous day which he forgot to take off before going into slumber.
In the middle of checking his unkempt self out, he heard a knock on the door. Before he could ask the person to come in, they already did.
Felicia walked inside the room, carrying a tray with a bowl of hangover soup in it. For a moment, Viper thought he was looking at Erika but he immediately shook his head to remember that it was Felicia who had Erika’s face.
"Good morning boss," Felicia greeted with the widest smile that exposed her pearly white teeth but it only turned Viper’s mood sour. "Look, I brought you some hangover soup," she announced.
Viper glared at her for coming into the room without waiting for his permission before glaring at the tray in her hand.
"Did I ask you for any soup?" he questioned her, his voice holding so much distaste in his tone. Felicia stood, completely frozen but still a little shaken up from his cold question.
"I just thought that you would need one since you came back drunk," she explained but unfortunately for her, viper wasn’t a bit interested in hearing her reply. "Look, it is still very scorching hot and if you drink it right now, I’m very sure you won’t feel any splitting headache anymore." She tried to convince him further.
Her annoying voice plus his splitting headache only annoyed him further as he grabbed his head. "Leave." He ordered.
Felicia turned deaf ears to his order and placed the tray on the coffee table beside his bed.
"I’m not a bad person, Viper. I only want to help you." She sat on the bed and placed the bowl on her lap. "I don’t really know how to make one of these but I went online and did my best because I want to thank you for helping us out and not letting the police find out about our location," she added, gently placing her hand on his shoulders and caressing it gently." She looked at him with a charming smile hoping the effect would work on him as it had done on Mamba but unfortunately for her, luck wasn’t on her side and the viper turned even more agitated with her actions.
"I said get out of here," he snapped angrily, and out of fear, the bowl fell from Felicia’s hand and dropped on the ground and shattered into pieces.
Felicia shook in fear, not sure of what to do as the remnants of the soup splashed on her feet. I only wanted to help you," she voiced out, tears falling from her eyes as if she didn’t have a hidden agenda for coming into his room with a soup in her hand.
Adrian walked inside the room because he was hearing voices and saw the scene that was going on. He turned to glare at Felicia for always bothering Viper, especially at the wrong time.
"Get out of here," he ordered her and Felicia went out of the room as tears continued to fall from her eyes.
Adrain turned to Viper and quickly apologized with hands clasped together. "I’m sorry boss."
"Get your wife under control Adrain, you wouldn’t like what I will do to her if she dares to play this kind of trick again," he warned him and Adrain nodded in understanding.
Walking out of the room, Adrain sighted Felicia downstairs with her hands folded around her chest and she seemed to be waiting for him.
Grabbing her wrist aggressively and turning her around to face him, he questioned her,
"Did you have the soup poisoned?"
Felicia scoffed before she replied, "What if I did? What are you going to do about it?"
Adrain grabbed his head, not sure of what to say anymore.
"Don’t even overreact adrian. I’m sure you are going to love it if Viper were to die?" she said, completely unbothered by what she had just said.
"What makes you think that if Viper is to die all of a sudden, you won’t be a prime suspect since you were the one to take the soup to him?" Adrain questioned her.
"I know that which was why I didn’t go through with that plan," she replied in a hushed tone. "I already have the police on my trail, I don’t want a bunch of notorious criminals as well."
"Then what did you put in that soup?" a drain asked her. He was sure that she had added something because Felicita’s moves were never pure.
"It only contained an aphrodisiac."
"You planned to seduce him?" Adrain asked her, half surprised and half scared not for her but for himself.
"If you look at the bright side, if I’m able to successfully seduce Viper, I can convince him to push through with whatever he’s planning on helping you separate Ethan and Erika," she explained.
Now Adrain didn’t know if he should appreciate her effort but it was simply too dirty. She was willing to sleep with Viper for benefits? He thought to himself but when he remembered how she had been doing the same thing even before they were married and after, he wasn’t surprised anymore.
"Don’t interfere in this matter again. You seem to be in a hurry to watch Ethan and Erika get separated."
"Well, aren’t you?" She asked him. "We both know what we want but he’s taking too much time, Adrian. I’m getting too tired of waiting. If I do anything risky later on, just know that it was your fault," she threatened him and took a seat on the couch.
Adrain glared at her from head to toe, trying to guess what she meant. What was she going to do now?
