Chapter 315: TRAVELING
A few days passed, and Viper rarely returned to the hideout. Adrian being delusional, thought Viper was planning what he was going to use to help him get Erika back from Ethan. If only he knew that Viper was simply stalking Erika, but had no plans to kidnap her, especially now that he found out that she was pregnant.
Viper continued to stalk Erika for a good few days without her bodyguards finding out about it because he used different cars every day so as to not turn suspicious in their eyes.

"What do you mean by you both are traveling out of the country?" Mr Anderson questioned Ethan.
"Erika is too restless staying in this country especially since Adrian still hasn’t been caught yet. I don’t want anything to happen to her and our child so we are going to be traveling out of the country very soon," Ethan replied, his hands caressing the sides of Erika’s belly when he sensed her tense up all of a sudden.
"But is that completely necessary? I mean, to travel out of the country? Can’t you go back to our city, San Francisco? I bet they can’t follow you there," Mrs Walters tried to convince them.
Erika stared at her mother, completely understanding even though the elder woman didn’t say a word that she wanted her daughter and her future grandchild to be close to her but Erika couldn’t do anything about it. She already agreed to go away from the country and breathe fresh air without the fear of having her psycho ex-husband trailing behind her like a dog on a leash.
"Mom," Erika called her mother with a soft voice as she walked towards her. "We will only be there until I give birth and then, we will come back." She explained, but her mother still didn’t seem to want to let her go so easily. Erika turned to make eye contact with Ethan before she faced her mother again. "I promise to call everything as my tummy grows," she added with a smile as she patted her mother’s hand.
Mrs Walters smiled but still found it hard to let her daughter go just like that. She had been excited to find out that Erika was having a child but now that her daughter wasn’t going to be beside her until she gave birth, she felt sad after remembering it was for Erika’s good and well-being, so she decided to go with it and be happy for them.
"Okay, but please be extra safe." She patted Erika’s head and Erika nodded.
"Which country will you both be going to anyway?" Mr Walters asked Ethan.
"We are going to Spain," Ethan replied.
Everyone in the room glanced at each other, with questions in their minds.
"Can you guys even speak Spanish?" Monica asked them and Erika nodded for the two of them.
"I can very much speak Spanish fluently and as for Ethan...." she drawled a little, thinking of the right word to use. "He’s good but not fluent enough."
Ethan huffed but didn’t care if he couldn’t speak Spanish well.
"So you are going to be the one to teach him that language?" Monica asked and Erika nodded.
"So while you both are out of the country, should we continue to look for Adrain?" Felix asked Ethan and the latter shook his head.
"Don’t. It will be much better if he roams around freely especially after he finds out that Erika is no longer in the country. He would go berserk for sure," Ethan replied, staring at Erika this time.
"But you both also have to be careful in Spain too," Felix warned. "We don’t know how completely powerful Adrain is so you still have to be careful wherever you both go."
The couple nodded in unison as everything had been settled.
Two days later, Viper continued following the car that Erika and Ethan were in with another car of his until he recognized the road they were on. It was on the way to the airport.
He didn’t want to think about the possibility of them leaving the country as his grip on the steering wheel turned sweaty.
’Maybe they are going somewhere else,’ he thought to himself to give himself some sort of hope but all that hope was shattered when the airport came into view they parked their car right in front of it and offloaded their luggage.
Viper’s eyes widened as he saw the both of them walking inside the airport with linked arms.
"They are leaving the city?" He thought out loud as his eyeballs grew larger.
Erika and Ethan both matched joyfully inside the airport, oblivious to the death stare they were receiving from a man in the car.
"I can’t believe that this is happening," Erika said, growing emotional as a single tear fell from her eyes but she quickly caught it in her hand.
"It’s just for the meantime. Don’t worry, we will be back before you even know it. And who knows, while we are there, Felix might be able to catch Adrain and we will come back earlier than expected," Ethan said.
Erika nodded, leaning towards Ethan to inhale his sharp scent which she suddenly found very pleasing to her nose and body.
Outside, Viper abruptly got down from the car with anger written all over his face as he brought out a gun and followed them inside the airport. Anyone who saw him with the gun would immediately run away.
The guards who tried to stop him were immediately shot to death and when he reached where Ethan and Erika were, he called their names and they turned to face him. Erika gasped in shock when she saw the gun in his hand.
"Please don’t do this," she pleaded but Viper turned deaf ears to her pleading and pointed his gun at Ethan.
"What is mine is mine and I won’t let just anyone take what belongs to me," he said out loud and fired the bullet.
