Chapter 307: TIME TO STRIKE?
"Whatever." Felicia pushed Adrian away. The closeness she had with the cold metal was too scary and she wouldn’t want to take any chances. "Just decide already when I will be taking over Erika’s place in Ethan’s life," she added, rubbing her forehead as if to be assured that there had not been any hole created there.
"I’ve told you already, it’s all up to Viper. You know he’s the only one helping us out now and believe me when I say I also want to do things as quickly as possible but I have to obey Viper’s words, else, I’m a goner," Adrian said, planning on tossing the gun away but before he did so, he asked, "How were you able to get your hands on the gun?"
"Mamba helped me," Felicia replied without wasting a second.
Adrain’s eyebrow furrowed, wondering when Mamba and Felicia got close enough for him to be doing favors for her, especially behind Viper’s back.
"You sleep with him," Adrain stated. Felicia kept quiet and didn’t reply anymore which only meant that she’s been sleeping with him for favors. "Was he also the one that drove you to the party?" He asked her, this time expecting her to reply. He doubted that Felicia would be able to do all these alone. Gets a gun and drives herself to Ethan’s party. Even though she has a new face now and the police officers won’t be able to recognize her, that was still a huge risk for her to take.
"He was the one," she replied, and not for once did her voice show any hint of shame for uttering such things. "And if you are wondering, his cock is bigger than yours," she added with a wink.
Adrian stared at her, his eyes holding even more anger than it already was but he released a sigh to calm himself down.
"If Viper finds out that you’ve been sleeping with one of his men, he wouldn’t be happy with it," he warned her.
"He’s not going to find out," she said. "unless..." she paused, while a smirk danced on her lips. "you are going to tell him which I’m sure you wouldn’t, Adrain. He might just forsake you."
As much as Adrain wanted to deny all that, he knew it was the truth. Viper was the only one whom he knew had a connection to all these kinds of business and firearms. No one else and since he was completely depending on him, he wouldn’t take the chances of reporting something so sensitive to Viper since he already hated Felicia.
"Don’t put me in trouble, Felicia," he warned her but from her scoffing at his words, he could only pray internally that his plan had already been pushed through before Viper found out. "He might kill you."
"Great! He will be saving you the trouble of doing that yourself," she joked. Her smirk suddenly faltered and her hands clenched tightly. "I don’t think we are going to be able to get our son back anytime soon." She changed the topic.
"Is it because of the security around him at the orphanage?" Adrian asked her. Although he was still angry at her for all the things she had just uttered, he still cared about his son, and from Felicia’s facial expression, he already sensed that there must be something serious about their son.
"Not only that," she replied. "Monica, Erika’s friend, is planning on adopting him," she revealed. "I don’t know when but she said she will adopt him soon."
"Wait, did you confront Erika and her friend?" Adrain asked her and she nodded. Sighing after planting his hand on his face as if to wipe away his upcoming headache, he added. "Why would you show yourself to them? What if they report you to the police station?"
Felicia glanced at Adrian from the side, not sure if she should add how she kicked Erika in the belly. But after remembering how Adrian had threatened to kill her just from her telling him that she was about to harm Erika, she was sure that he would kill her without batting an eyelash after she told him about the kick.
"They wouldn’t," she replied. "I was able to get out of there before the others could catch me and Mamba was able to drive out of there while dodging their cameras," she finished.
Adrian sighed again, wanting to believe her but he wasn’t sure if he should. To save himself from any headache, he simply nodded.
"I will try to get our son back before Monica can adopt him. Or we could just wait for her to adopt him and then we will kidnap him from her arms. I don’t think the security around her is as tight as the one at the orphanage."
Felicia glanced at Adrian, not knowing if she should compliment him or leave him be.
"Whatever," she said and got up from the stool, heading upstairs.
Adrian watched her back until it disappeared behind her door as he heard it click shit.
A few minutes later, Adrain heard the front door open and he saw Viper walking inside.
"Boss," Adrian greeted, forcing a smile on his face. "Boss, I wanted to ask you something and it’s a good thing that you came just in time."
"What is it?" Viper questioned him, already having an idea what he was going to ask him.
Adrian cleared his throat before he continued.
"Boss, I was thinking, since it’s already been a while now, isn’t it time for us to strike? I mean, for you to help me get Erika back from Ethan?"
Viper glared at Adrian and the latter subconsciously took a step back from how fierce the glare was.
"Haven’t I told you multiple times that I will be the one deciding when we will strike?" Viper questioned him. "You seem to have grown even more impatient, Adrain? Do you want to stroke now?" He asked him.
Adrain darted his eyes around, unsure of what his answer should be. A ’yes’ or a ’no’. Although it seemed like a simple question that needed a simple answer, it didn’t seem so to him.
Taking a deep breath and gathering all his courage? Adrain replied, "Yes boss, I want to strike now."
