Chapter 275: TRIPLE WEDDING SUGGESTION
Erika turned to look at Ethan and found him already staring at her. She blushed and quickly turned to look at the girls as she mumbled, "I don’t know if that’s safe for him." She didn’t need to be specific for the other two girls to understand what she was talking about. Obviously, it was about the bullet in his head and she wanted to be as careful as possible with him.
Jasmine and Monica both shared a look and Monica reached for Erika’s hand.
"Understandably, you might be scared because of his health condition but if the doctor says you both are good to go, will I be getting a future niece and nephew soon?" She asked teasingly as she winked at Erika, making the latter blush even more.
Erika subtly nodded her head—just a dip of her chin and hummed. "You will be getting a future niece soon."
The other two had to resist the urge to jump up and down in happiness to not give the elderly another mini-heart attack in less than an hour. They would surely be scolded this time so they simply giggled to themselves while everyone continued with their conversations.
Erika looked at Monica and found her best friend smiling so happily. She had thought earlier that Monica would be a little mad at her for she was the reason her wedding with Felix didn’t push through but it seems like the latter had forgotten about that.
She reached for Monica’s hand and caught the latter totally off guard. "I’m sorry, Monica." She apologized, her voice filled with so much guilt that it shattered Monica’s soul when Erika stared at her with such watery eyes. "I’m sorry that you weren’t able to...."
"It’s okay! It wasn’t your fault. It was that jerk of an Adrian that is to be the cause of everything that happened but if I ever see him in person, I swear, I’m going to punch him to death," Monica promised and she held her fist up, showing how hard she would punch the life out of Adrain’s soul.
Erika laughed, knowing that her friend wouldn’t be able to do that but if the chance ever came, she would love to see Monica beat the hell out of Adrain since she deserves justice when Adrian interrupted their wedding by having her kidnapped.
Despite knowing that Monica wasn’t a bit angry at her, Erika still couldn’t help but be sad at how things had turned out for them.
"I still have to make up for what happened," she said. "I will be the one to be in charge of your next wedding and this time, I will make sure that no intruder comes in and dares to ruin it again," she offered with a solemn expression, showing how serious she was about her offer.
Monica could see in Erika’s eyes how determined she was to be in charge of her next wedding. Monica and Jasmine shared a look and Erika didn’t fail to notice their stares.
"What’s wrong?" she asked them.
But Monica and Jasmine shared another look, as if fighting about who would be the one to talk first. When Monica noticed that Jasmine didn’t have any plans to utter any words, she sighed helplessly.
"Are you planning to not get married to Felix again," Erika suddenly asked, making Monica snap to look at her with so much surprise in her eyes.
"What?! Why would you even think that?" Monica asked Erika, totally confused.
"It was just a thought since you hesitated to tell me what you both were thinking about?" Erika revealed.
"I see, but it’s not that," said Monica. She turned to look at Jasmine again but the latter had already moved her eyes away from their circle to look at the window where one could hear the bustling streets. Resisting the urge to facepalm herself at the sudden betrayal, Monica released a sharp breath and looked at Erika who was starting to get worried.
"The thing is..." she drawled. "Jasmine and I have both decided to get married on the same day that you would be getting married. We want it to be a triple wedding.
Erika’s jaws instantly dropped after hearing Monica, and the latter had to place her hand under Erika’s jaw to push her mouth close.
"So you are the one whom we are waiting for and we won’t get married until you get married along with us," Monica added and Erika’s jaws dropped again and Monica didn’t waste any time in quickly picking it back up.
Erika had to stare at them, waiting for a second to pass so that they could stop joking but when Monica continued to hold her plain expression, waiting for her to give a reply while Jasmine continued to admire the window, she turned even more speechless.
This was the last thing that she had expected them to come out in the first place. Getting married? That thought had never come across her mind even for one bit since she was kidnapped but now that her two friends were suggesting a triple wedding, her heart wanted to burst out of her chest and dance away in joy.
She’d never thought of having a triple wedding before but had seen some actors in the movies do it once but now that there was a chance for her to do it, she wouldn’t want to miss the chance but now, she had to make sure that Ethan was very cool with it also.
When she realized that she had been keeping quiet for the past 2 minutes, enjoying the thoughts in her mind while her friends waited for her reply, Erika quickly wetted her lips and cleared her throat so that her voice would be very clear.
"That’s a very good idea, I’m in."
Now Jasmine and Monica were the ones whose mouths were open without them realizing it and Erika reached to assist them in closing their mouths for them.
"Let’s have a triple wedding girls," she cheered happily with a big smile on her face. "It’s going to be the happiest day of our lives so we have to make sure that it’s also the most beautiful day too," she added.
