Chapter 276: SPEAK WITH WHO?
It took several seconds for both Monica and Jasmine to recover from their shock and when they did, a big smile immediately graced their lips.
Seeing Erika so onboard with their plan made them so happy and they had already started to imagine the cuties that she would birth since she was also a cutie herself.
The girls stayed to chat some more while they prepared for their future weddings in secret. The men aren’t aware of the triple wedding they have planned and hoped to surprise them when they would decide to bring up the good news.
When it was time for them to leave, Andrew took Jasmine home while Monica stayed by Erika’s side by all means, not wanting to part from her anytime soon while Felix glared at her with jealousy. Since the both of them arrived inside the hospital room, she hadn’t even spared him a glance or a look yet. It annoyed him and made him feel jealous. And whenever she would notice his jealous eyes, she would pout so cutely, as if asking him to let her spend some more time and his heart would melt instantly but she would still end up doing the same thing—ignoring him again.
The older couples also left the younger ones and carried on with their business, leaving Ethan, Erika, Felix, Monica, and Michael in the room to chat with each other but it was mostly Erika and Monica who chatted while the men stared at them. Daniel had gone to handle one of the issues in his company so he wasn’t around at the moment.
Ethan stared at Erika, praying internally that she would just look at him again but she was only concerned with Monica and forgot about his existence. That hurt him.
Ethan turned to Felix and glared hard at the man, making sure he understood his hidden message. ’When are you going to leave?’ he asked him, while Felix shrugged in response. ’I don’t know.’
Out of frustration, Ethan decided to interrupt the girl’s chatty voices. "Erika, can I get a massage, my shoulders hurt," he called her.
Upon hearing Ethan’s request, Erika didn’t waste a second and quickly rushed towards him to give him a shoulder massage and the latter smiled triumphantly.
Felix saw that Monica was all alone and sulked that Erika was not by her side to gist anymore and he quickly went to fill in the space.
"Don’t worry, I’m here to chat with you," he offered.
"You are no fun to chat with," Monica quickly pushed him aside and walked towards the chair that was beside Ethan’s bed, sat on it, and continued to chat without minding Felix one bit.
Felix froze in his seat, unable to move when he heard Monica’s comment. He dramatically grabbed his chest tightly and wiped away the invisible tears that flowed from his eyes.
"I’m not fun to chat with?" He asked himself.
He stood up from the couch and walked towards Monica and decided to listen in to their conversation. When he noticed Ethan’s expression that seemed to have turned even more ugly, he laughed internally.
Ethan had thought that he would be to separate the two girls and have Erika’s attention all to himself as she massaged him but it seems that it would be impossible to have the two girls separated.
Amid all these tensions that the girls didn’t even notice or care to notice, they conversed happily.
The door opened and Edward walked inside with a smile.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen," he greeted and they responded joyfully. He faced Erika and the smile on his face instantly dropped as he dropped the news. "Erika, Mary, and Juliet want to talk with you."
Erika wasn’t the least surprised that the mother and daughter duo wanted to talk with her. They saw that she had escaped their clutches and their plans to enslave her had been destroyed, now they simply wanted to blame her, Erika thought to herself.
"I don’t want to have to deal with them," she said with a straight face.
"I knew you would say that and that was also what I’d told them but Mary, the older and ugly woman said she had something important to tell you and she wouldn’t stop shouting until she saw you and told you what she wanted to say."
Erika continued to massage Ethan’s shoulders as she replied to Edward.
"I already have an idea of what she wants to say to me. The same thing that she has been saying to me ever since we saw each other and that everything was my fault and I’m the one to be blamed for it," Erika rejected the idea again. "Those two never seem to want to give up one bit. We are no longer related in any way but they still decide to hunt me but I won’t let that happen ever again.
Ethan could feel Erika’s soft hands stiffen on his shoulders and he pulled to sit beside him on the bed. She had just been happy a while ago, chatting with Monica as they discussed heaven and earth until Edward came in with this news. He glared at the latter and Edward quickly raised his hands to surrender himself.
"It was just a message and I wanted to deliver it. I mean, what if what she wanted to tell you was important? Maybe she has an idea where Adrain is and all that. We will never know," he shrugged.
"There’s nothing important that I have to discuss with that woman. She’s just looking for someone to blame and there is no better candidate than me," said Erika.
"Simply tell her that if she has something important to tell Erika, she can just give that message to you and you will deliver it," Eyah suggested.
"Do you think I haven’t tried that option?" Edward asked Ethan with a shot-up eyebrow. "She specifically said that she won’t tell me anything until she meets Erika and I’m quite curious about what she’s about to do now," he added
