Chapter 259: POPPED
Adrain arrived at the hideout and pushed the priest out of the car as the old man continued to mumble prayer after prayer for him to be rescued as soon as possible.
After handing the priest over to his men, Adrian walked inside the house and directly strode toward Erika’s room. Upon getting to the room, he ordered the two bodyguards who stood there, "Get out." Without the need to be told twice, the men immediately left from there, giving Adrian the chance to get inside.
Adrian stood in front of the room and smirked. "Today is the day, Erika." He said to himself.
He reached for the doorknob and turned it then he pushed it open and there she was, Erika, wearing the white dress that he got for her.
Adrian wasn’t able to mutter any words because his eyes continued to roam around her body, taking in every detail as if he wanted to gobble her up at that moment.
The wedding dress that he had personally picked for her fitted her perfectly, clinging to her curves and his mouth salivated at that even though she was still sitting down in the wheelchair.
"You look extremely beautiful," he managed to say as he gulped down his saliva, trying to wet his throat that had suddenly gone dry the instant he saw Erika. Slowly taking steps toward her, Adrain tried to hold her hands but unfortunately for him, he wasn’t able to come close to her for her to swat his hands away, annoyingly.
Adrian chuckled, "You are still acting stubborn right? Well, after today, I will make sure to tame you on our wedding night," he said.
Erika cringed so hard that goosebumps appeared on her skin. She looked up in his eyes, her blue ones darkened as she bites out, "I will first have to die before there will be a wedding night to even begin with."
Adrian only stared at her, amused by her words. Of course, he wasn’t going to believe her at all since he believed that he’d already come this far and nothing would be able to ruin anything for him.
"You should get her to come outside in 10 minutes," Adrain ordered Iza who stood by the side, attempting to make herself as invisible as possible. Even going to the extent of not breathing but that didn’t work.
"Y-yes sir," she stuttered and Adrain left afterwards. He closed the door behind him and went to search for his stepmother and stepsister. He needed to make sure that they wouldn’t do anything stupid to stop the wedding.
Getting to Mary’s room which was already opened, Adrian spread the door wider for himself and saw the mother and daughter duo getting ready for the wedding which shocked him.
Sending Adrain’s presence at her door, Mary turned to him with a graceful smile on her lips as she said, "You are back! When is the wedding going to start?"
Juliet also turned to see whom her mother was talking to and found Adrain at the front door, standing like a statue, unmoving.
"Hey! Why did you have to push the wedding to today?! I don’t even have a single cloth to wear," yelled Juliet in a frustrated tone.
Sighing, Adrain only said, "Something came up so I had to push the wedding to today. Make sure that you both don’t have any tricks up your sleeves to stop the wedding. I know how much you two hate Erika and don’t approve of our marriage but you’d better not try anything funny."
After his warning, he turned on his heels and left, leaving the mother and daughter duo slightly stunned.
"Does he think that we have something up our sleeves?" Juliet asked her mother. "I know I don’t."
"Me neither. You know how much I hate Erika so much that I don’t want her to be part of our family again. I would like it if I turn her into a slave like how we turned her into one 4 years ago," Mary dreamed.
"But that wouldn’t be possible Mom. Remember, Erika has changed," Juliet reminded her mother, and the latter frowned after remembering.
"I will think of something," Mary concluded as she applied her lipstick on her lips and checked herself in the mirror to be sure she was looking completely beautiful.
"But what about Felicia?" Asked Juliet. "That rude woman has gone to have the plastic surgery done and I’m sure that when she returns, Adrain is going to send her to the Anderson family. She will be living a life full of luxury and that is only going to make her feel even more proud than she already is."
"After she returns from the hospital, we will think about how we are going to deal with her. As for now, let’s just focus on remarrying my ex-daughter-in-law," she smiled.
—
"Give me the knife Iza," Erika urged the maid and without wasting a second, Iza handed the knife to Erika.
"What do you plan to do with that knife mam?" Iza asked Erika with a raised eyebrow and big eyes, completely confused.
Erika smiled at the girl because she knew that the girl was completely oblivious but not too oblivious to not know what a knife could be used for, especially in a situation like this one.
"I’m going to use this to end someone," she gave a hint, leaving Iza to complete the image of the person she wanted to deal with in her head.
Widening her eyes even more now, Iza asked, "You want to kill boss Adrain?"
From Iza’s change of facial expressions, Erika could already guess that the girl hadn’t expected her to come up with such a plan but she had no choice. If she can kill Adrian, then she will be able to get out of there. Atleast, those were her plans. It was now or it will be too late.
"Yes," Erika replied and watched as Iza’s eyeballs nearly popped because of how large they had become.
