Chapter 260: BANG
"But mam, isn’t that a bit too dangerous for you? I mean, how will you even be able to successfully get out of here if you stab boss Adrain? Isn’t that going to complicate things?!" Iza yelled out. Thankfully, Adrian had already chased away the bodyguards that stood at the front door of the room so no one was able to hear her scream so loudly.
"I don’t care! I need to end this fantasy wedding of his because if I don’t, who knows what he might do to me next," Erika said.
The moment that she had decided to go through with this plan of hers, she had made her mind strong enough to deal with the consequences and she wouldn’t back down so easily. Besides, Adrian has been begging to be killed for a long time now so she was only fulfilling his long-time dreams since the day he dared to kidnap her from her best friend’s wedding.
"But mam... it still wouldn’t be that easy," Iza tried to stop Erika but it was completely obvious from Erika’s solemn expression, that she wasn’t going to change her mind no matter what."
Erika played with the knife in her hands, rolling the sharp tip of the knife on her thump as she smiled. "I have to do this Iza."

After 10 minutes had already passed, the door was abruptly opened and a bodyguard came inside. "The boss said you should bring her. The wedding has started," he announced.
Thankfully, Erika had already hidden the knife long ago in her wedding dress so the bodyguard wasn’t able to see it.
Iza nodded her head in understanding and quickly, she started pushing Erika’s wheelchair while the bodyguard led them to where the wedding would take place.
The wedding would take place in the backyard of the house which was also completely covered with trees, making the place invisible if it wasn’t for the decorations that have been used to beautify the place. The decorations had been added to make the backyard stand out from the other green leaves. Ribbons were placed and flower petals were tossed around to make the yard seem like a beautiful church where a happy reunion would start.
At the front of the decorations, a priest stood with a bible in his hand and his white garments had already been stained with so much sweat. It was starting to look horrifying.
Erika didn’t need to think too much to know that the priest was brought here by force. When her eyes landed on Adrian, who stood beside the priest, her eyes started to hurt. ’He’s such a devil,’ Erika thought to herself.
Adrian kept on looking at Erika as if he had something to say but of course, she knew that he was only going to compliment her. The kind of compliment that would make her want to puke in those overly white suits of his. The color completely differed from his attitude and intentions.
He continued to stare at her, almost undressing her with his eyes, and instantly, Erika moved her eyes away from him and from the corner of her eyes, she could see how annoyed he was.
On the sides of the backyard were chairs—up to 20 of them but it was only Mary and Juliet who sat in each one, leaving the rest extremely scanty. ’Is it the maids and the bodyguards that are going to be sitting there?’ She wondered with a frown evident on her face.
When her eyes landed on Mary who smiled at her, she could see how happy that middle-aged woman was. Of course, she already knew her intentions.
’Seems that I didn’t manipulate her quite enough for her to be smiling at me like that,’ Erika thought to herself.
Shifting her gaze to Juliet who also had the same expression as her devious mother, Erika could only wonder what those mother and daughter duo were planning. They were meant to be in disagreement with each other. Not have the same happy smiles on their faces while she walks towards Adrian. Something about their faces made her uncomfortable but Erika shrugged it off. The one goal she had now was to kill Adrain off and she needed to do that swiftly and not miss her which was his heart. ’He talked about his heart so much, let’s see if he will be able to bear the pain,’ she thought to herself.
As she got closer to the altar, she suddenly noticed that her heart had been skipping several beats. This was not normal. She needs to be calm as she finishes Adrain off and then those mother and daughter duo will be next but she doubts that she will be able to get any closer to them once the bodyguards get her.
"Mam, are you ready?" She heard Iza whisper close to her ear. Erika glanced around the place first, her eyes counting the heads of the people around before she replied.
"I am," Erika whispered back.
Iza pushed her until she was in front of Adrain. Glaring up at him, Erika asked,
"You said you wanted to marry me but you couldn’t even take me to a church?"
There was a thin thread of mockery in her tone but Adrian didn’t mind that at all. Instead, he slightly chuckled and answered,
"You know I can’t risk having you taken away from me, Erika, especially on the day of our wedding. That would break my heart."
Erika smiled at him and Adrian had to blink twice to be sure that he wasn’t seeing things.
"Start the ritual," he ordered the priest.
Instantly, Erika grabbed onto the knife that she would be using to stab Adrian.
"P-please, exchange y-your wedding rings," the lord priest said.
A silver platter was bright and Erika saw the rings that were placed on it.
Adrian picked one while Erika held the knife tightly, ready to strike.
BANG!!!
Suddenly, they heard a gunshot echo in the forest, the sound so piercingly loud that it almost made Erika’s eardrums explode.
"What is that?" Adrian demanded from his men, his face full of anger for someone had interrupted his wedding.
