Chapter 257: NIGHTMARE
"What do you mean by there has been a change of plans?" Iza questioned the bodyguard as her heart pounded loudly in her chest but it didn’t pound louder than Erika’s, when she heard the bodyguard’s words. This was a nightmare that she wanted to wake up as soon as possible. It was terrible that she didn’t want to keep living like this again.
"I have no idea. I was only sent here to deliver the message and I’ve done that. The priest will be here in an and the boss will arrive around that time as well. I’m sure that’s enough time for you to get her ready for the ceremony," the bodyguard bites out, annoyed by the maid’s question that came out too rushed and improper for him. It felt as if she wasn’t in terms of the change of plans. "There will be three bodyguards here to guard this door so make sure she doesn’t try anything funny else...." He drawled, leaving the maid to complete the sentence in her head by herself.
The bodyguard glared at the maid and Erika who sat in her wheelchair before he left them and walked away.
Iza immediately closed the door and rushed back to Erika. "This is bad news," she uttered. Looking at Erika who had suddenly turned stiff, Iza added. "Don’t worry, I’m sure we can still do something. Just like he said, the boss will take an hour before he gets here so that should be enough time for us to proceed with our original plans."
Erika’s shoulders had already dropped out of lack of hope now and she wasn’t sure if that plan was going to work well.
"But what if we get caught? Three bodyguards are going to keep watch and I’m sure that no matter what happens, they will never leave that door."
Again, tears threatened to fall from her eyes but she held it back.
"That’s right. It is going to be hard but we can’t give up now that we’ve already planned the whole thing. Yes, I know that everything is going to be happening quite earlier than we planned but we still shouldn’t give up just like that. Mam, there must be another way. Wait for me, I will be right back," Iza left the room and headed to only God knows where, leaving Erika alone in the big empty room.
Erik stared at herself and could only wonder what made Adrian change his mind all of a sudden. "He said in two days, why did he suddenly change plans?" She thought out loud as a frown pulled up on her face.
In no time, Iza came back inside the room with another maid that she’d rarely seen around and a white dress in her hands which she assumed to be her wedding dress. Looking at the beautiful plain white dress that was adorned with a beautiful clear diamond that sparkled irked her. She was only going to wear such a dress for one man only.
"Mam, this is Bella, one of my friends and she’d agreed to assist us," Iza introduced the maid who also wore a similar uniform as her and also looked to be the same age as Iza but slightly older than the girl. Her head was packed in a bun while her spectacles rested between her nose bridge.
"Hi Bella," Erika greeted. "How are you going to help me?" She asked the question to both of them.
"Well, what we are going to do is..." Iza began to explain.

After explaining the plan, they checked the time and realized that they only had about 30 minutes before Adrian would arrive at the hideout. That was not enough time for them to get properly ready for the plan that they were going to pull off. That thought only made Erika feel her chest go heavy but she kept on reminding herself to stay positive.
Erika exchanged her clothes with Bella’s now she was wearing the maid’s uniform. They had chosen to go with their first plan since it seemed to be the only available one and they didn’t have the time to come up with another one.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door. Usually, the bodyguards would wait for someone to open the door first but this time, the person didn’t even bother to wait for them to respond.
The door was abruptly opened and Adrain came inside with a smile on his lips. Iza subconsciously slapped her forehead for forgetting to lock the door now and when she saw her boss walk inside, her heart jumped in fright.
Adrian immediately frowned when he saw Erika in the maid’s uniform while the maid was putting on the wedding dress that she was supposed to put on.
"What sort of nonsense is going on here?" He questioned as he glared at Erika, waiting for a response from her.
Erika gulped down her saliva in fright while she watched Adrain glare at her. This was the wrong timing and now that Adrain had seen everything, she was doomed and he would force her to marry him in that instance even though he was already forcing her to marry him.
As her heart threatened to jump out from her chest, Erika also tried to force her lips to part so that she could utter something that could explain their current scene but she doubted that Adrian would even believe her.
When Erika didn’t respond to him, Adrian lost his patience and dragged Erika out of the room, probably heading to where the both of them would be getting married. Erika sighted a man who had a large book in his hands but she realized that it wasn’t a book when she got closer. That was a bible. In a bolt of lightning, Erika was married off to Adrian and when her new husband leaned in to kiss her, she suddenly felt a tap on her shoulders.
Erika was immediately bright back to the present when she heard Iza’s voice trying to wake her up from her nightmare.
"Mam, are you okay? You haven’t been responding to me since?" She heard Iza’s worried voice ask her.
