Chapter 256: REPLACEMENT
"Do you think that will work?" Viper questioned him. "Ethan is very much in love with Erika and you being Erika’s husband won’t change that," he added.
"Everything will change once she’s pregnant with my child," Adrian smirked.
Another bomb exploded on Viper’s head. Adrian was planning on getting married to Erika and getting her pregnant. This was too much and he doesn’t want to endure it. He needs to take action.
"Sure! Do whatever you want," Viper snorted and left Adrain there to continue searching if they had dropped anything that could be of importance to the police.
As Viper continued to look around, Adrain glared at him from the back.
’Viper is starting to change,’ he thought to himself but didn’t dare to voice it out. ’I need a change of plans as soon as possible.’

It was morning time and Adrain still wasn’t home yet. Iza was in Erika’s room, helping her to get prepared to see the designer who would bring in the wedding dresses that she would put on for the wedding day.
"So what are we going to plan for tomorrow?" Erika asked Iza. Iza first brought out the makeup kit that she would be using to apply makeup on Erika’s face and picked out the foundation and the brush before she replied.
"I was able to convince some of the other maids and some of them agreed to lend their help."
Instantly, Erika almost jumped in fear and she turned to look at Iza with wide eyes.
"You informed them about our plan? What if they report to the bodyguards or even Adrain? What will we do if that happens?" She questioned the girl all at once. This was the last thing that she needed—getting other people involved in her plans because she never really knew whom to trust here since they all worked under Adrain. If it wasn’t for one thing, then she wouldn’t have asked for Iza’s help but she had turned desperate at this moment and she needed to make fast decisions if she really wanted to escape from there as soon as possible.
"Relax mam," Iza placed her hands on Erika’s shoulders to calm her down. "We need a few hands if you want to escape from here, which was why I asked for their help. And don’t worry, I only asked the ones I am close with. I didn’t ask all of them all at once. Some of them are very loyal to boss Adrian and could report to him. The ones I asked help from agreed to lend a hand so there’s nothing for you to be worried about for tomorrow," she assured.
Iza opened the foundation so that she could apply some of it on Erika’s face while she used the brush to spread it around and give it a perfect blend.
"But how are things going to go on that day? I mean, what do your colleagues specifically have to do on that day?" Erika asked. She might be very much on board with this assistant that she was getting but she needed to be sure that it was a very careful, foolproof plan and not risk getting caught ever again.
"On the wedding day, one of the maids will take your place as the bride while I help you to get out of here. I’m glad that you can walk now so it’s going to be very easy," Iza replied.
Erika released a sigh. Her heart continued to pound in her chest at the thought of how rough the next day was going to be but remembering that she would be with Ethan again, a smile would grace her lips.
"If only you guys were allowed to use phones around here then everything would have been very much easier for me. I would have just contacted one of my brothers and told them about this place then they would come to get me," she mumbled under her breath tirelessly. It was just recently that Adrian forbade the maids from using their phones ever since he found out that Erika was the one who took his phone one time. ’He seems to be extra careful nowadays,’ Erika thought to herself.
"Don’t worry about that mam. Once the wedding starts, one of the maids will get dressed like you and in the meantime, you will get dressed as that maid and will escape with the excuse that we want to go get some things from the market," Iza explained further.
"We can only hope that Adrian doesn’t unveil the bride before the wedding starts," Erika sighed. She was very much aware of how obsessed Adrain was with her and she wouldn’t be surprised if Adrian raised her veil before the ceremony started. He was a real maniac.
"If you are worried about that, you could dress as the bride and the maid will also dress as the bride." When she received a confused look from Erika, who shot a questionable eyebrow at her, she immediately completed her sentence. "I meant to say that you could pretend to dress as the bride so that when boss Adrain walks in here while you are still getting ready, he will believe that you are getting ready for the wedding, and once he leaves and the bell is rung, the replacement bride will fill in for you and you will quickly change into her maid’s uniform and escape."
Erika quickly agreed to the idea. "That will work out," she commented.
All of a sudden, they heard a knock and immediately turned their heads to face the door which stared back at them. Another knock came in and that was when they realized that they had been staring at the door for far too long now without answering.
Iza walked towards the door and spread it wide open only to see one of the bodyguards standing in front of it.
"What is it?" She asked the bodyguard.
The bodyguard first glanced at Erika before he replied, "The boss said you should get the Miss ready for there has been a change of plans. The wedding is going to take place today."
